I've been watching all the older charmed episodes on TNT and I remember when I was first watching them I was ready for cole to die...I hated him after her bacame the source...but as I rewatch them...I find myself feeling sorry for him.

I felt sorry for him also. I love Pheobe but I was really unhappy with the way she delt with him. In centenal Charmed he wanted to kill himself but she wouldnt help him, she had to problem killing him but if he wanted to do it himself she didnt like that.

It really got to me in Siren's Song when he "knocked" to tell them about the Siren and Phoebe said maybe you chould go...he looked soooo sad! Also, he looked so cute when he said to piper "you're pregnant?"

I remember in the eppy with barbas, where they locked them in the house after barbas took coles powers, they were in the attic and they were going to take them from barbas and give them back to cole cause he knew how to use them. they were all standing there and Pheobe stood next to cole, when he had to powers, then when he got them from barbas she moved away from him like she was afraid of him.. I could have cryed.

I read someplace the other day that cole left the show because he could not take it with Alyssa Milano any more. Said she was very demanding among other things. I know he has his own show but I found it so odd to read something like that.

I have not heard anything like that any place else but just wondering if anyone out there heard this as well?

It's never really surfaced why Julian left the show, but I don't think that he didn't get on with Alyssa. Julian got on with all of the cast, maybe he wanted other things to do.

I heard Julian was getting frustrated with his character and really felt it was time to leave the series. I also heard that he wanted to move on and be free to do other projects. If you remember, Cole was only originally written to appear for six episodes. But the fans loved him that they started writing more and more for him.

I never heard that he did not get along with Alyssa. Julian and Shannen were dating after she left the show, so maybe you heard that Shannen was jealous or something.? But as far as I know, he got along well with everyone. That is why when they asked him to come back for the 150th episode, he said yes. He has also said that if the series were to go until 200 episodes, he would come back for that!

he probably was being like us, the character was being dragged on and on so he wanted to leave....that would have been my impression.

He point blank said in an interview that his private life with Shannon didn't interfere with his work with Alyssa...

Also, he keeps popping in on the Charmed set (per an interview around the 150th episode) to visit the girls - so he wouldn't do that if he didn't like them!

He said in an interview that his character was going nowhere - and therefore, so was Phoebe's and so he asked to be written out - had nothing to do with a dislike for Alyssa...

He left because he didn't like the direction being taken in season 5 with Cole and he wanted to find something else, perhaps a leading part. That's why he left in the middle of the season, so that he could participate in the pilot season.

And thank goodness he did. I was so very sorry to see him go but if he hadn't he would not have landed the role of Christian Troy on Nip/Tuck, a once in a life time opportunity. He's already been nominated for a Golden Globe for the part and the show itself won the 2004 Golden Globe for Best Drama Series.

Going by the episode last Tuesday, Granville Trapp, if there is any justice in the world he will not just be nominated for but win both a Golden Globe and an Emmy. It was that good.

He couldn't possibly have accomplished so much if he had stayed on Charmed, much as I would have love to have seen him continue.

Even though I enjoyed him in season 5 and it was a great season, I felt that his character had come full circle when Pheobe killed him at the end of 4.

I feel the same about his character kinda stalling in a rut but I miss him ALOT.I wish they could have found a way to keep him but separate him from Phoebe. The whole hopelessly in love thing was getting to be too much. I will say however---- YIKES is he HOT

I wish they would have expanded more on his family.

I would have liked to known how his mother met and had a baby with a human and did his father know cole's mother was a demon.

I thought that in a flash back they alluded to the fact that Cole's mother was not so good.... I thought that it also alluded that he was the product of a demonic seduction of Coles father. And that his mother had in fact killed his father when he tried to take Cole away from her. I could be recalling another epi. But I am quite sure that it was a memory of Cole's that happened in the mausoleum.

Cole's father's name is indeed Benjamin Turner. His demonic mother's name is unknown to us, but obviously she was quite a powerful demon in ordeer to have produced a half human/half demon as powerful as Cole/Belthazor was. That would be a great episode for the writers and producers to do. If Julian McMahon would do another special guest appearance, that would be awesome. Such as he aid the Charmed Ones in vanquishing his very powerful demonic mother. Or anything, just bring in Julian and let him actually have some scenes with Phoebe!!!!!

yeah cole is great.
i think he pumped the interests in season 3/4.

he and phoebe where really great.
but i hate paige.
i couldn't stand her ,
i always hoped that in the end that phoebe and cole would be together , like leo and piper did.

but since he was 'invincible' it wouldnt make charmed interesting anymore if they got married etc etc.

i also love the part when cole came in with flowers to the Manor and he got a kick behind from Prue,
and after that he worked together with prue , and he and phoebe where together again
in season 3 , episode 14 , the good the bad and the cursed.

i would almost think i am turning gay.
such a huge fan of cole,
but owh well enough of this

Don't worry far from it, but I am still a huge Julian McMahon fan, he brought so much to the show and when I finally learned that he leaves it (and saw it) in Season 5 it made me very sad Oh well, I get the Season 3 DVDs as soon as they are released (still haven't seen it), and their is always Nip/Tuck which he is a main character (if not the main star of the series).

I like this because the first word that comes to mind when someone says cole is demon. I think thats what cole will always be known as to everyone, and thats why i chose belthazor

The beginning. I liked when he was still a demon and fighting to overcome it because he loved Phoebe. He was an intense and interesting character- and it was all very romantic.

I liked him almost any way though- I think 'as the source' would be my second choice.

I like cole THE MOST During season three's earlier episodes where his mystery was the central arc. Cole was good in season four until he became the source and he became unwatchable in season five, sadly.

I liked him best as Belthazor and when he was human (close 2nd to Belth). I loved the mystery behind Cole and although at the time I hated him for trying to break up the sisters, I later realized that it was one of the best (if not THE best) storyline of the series with him going undercover, gaining a Charmed one's trust and love and then have his plan backfire on him. Brilliant.

I liked Cole the most at the begining when he and Phoebe first met through to when he became the source. He was so confident and assured. But what struck me the most was when Phoebe kissed him, he would get this romantic dumfounded look on his face like it was the first time he had ever been kissed! He looked like he just melted in her hands. Gets me every time!

I liked cole when in all roles as he is a v. good actor
