Official Cole Turner thread

He made a film called prisoner early last year which should be released sometime this year.

He has also just wrapped Premonition, in which he co-stars with Sandra Bullock but I don't think that will be released until next year.

Work will start on Season 4 of Nip/Tuck in a couple of months.

cole is brillant he also brought a lot of attention to charmed with him going cood then back to evil and so on until he was ultimatly vanquished

my favorite cole moment was when he was still the source and he found out phoebe was pregnant, it was so good to see his human side even though he was the source. also when he was going to give the wizard his power so he could be with phoebe.

Let's cover this one more time...Julian's departure had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with Alyssa!!! He was contracted to appear in a set number of episodes (as are all cast members...as a sidebar to this, a major reason Ms. Burges left "Charmed" after Season Three was the planned expansion of Cole's part; she really did not want another male 'regular' cutting into the sisters' story). With Cole a sensation, his role was 'beefed up' even more, and some of the best Cole/Phoebe episodes appeared. However, Julian felt, justifiably, that his character reached an apex, and there wasn't much left to accomplish, and he was offered a lead in "Nip/Tuck", when his "Charmed" obligation ended. He worked things out with Brad, and the storyline had him falling back into his 'bad' ways, building up to his being vanquished. Where things got messy was when the shooting schedule for "Nip/Tuck" was moved up, putting both Julian and Brad in an awkward position. Brad agreed to 'speed up' Cole's demise (which is why Julian, in interviews, says he 'owes' Brad), and the 'Avatar' subplot was quickly introduced, to provide a scenario for 'bad Phoebe' to reform, and Cole to be vanquished (why the Season Seven Avatars' 'intro' came across as awkward; they were proclaimed an 'unknown' entity, but we all were familiar what they could do, thanks to Cole!)

At NO point was there a Julian/Phoebe 'feud'! While his relationship with Alyssa wasn't as close as his was with Shannen, both actors got along fine...Any 'conflicts' were just the fantasies of the 'Hate Alyssa' clique!

I'm going to say this for the last time. Julian McMahon had NO knowledge of "NIP/TUCK" until AFTER he had filmed "Centennial Charmed".

I loved Cole. Great, tragic character. I think its a shame what the writers did to him in Season 5. But, I liked SEVEN YEAR WITCH, so I almost forgave them.

I didn't like SEVEN YEAR WITCH, because the writer had Cole admit to deliberately impregnating Phoebe for nefarious reasons. That wasn't true. It was the Source who had the idea of using Cole's body to impregnate Phoebe. Apparently, the writer had forgotten, or didn't bother to watch any of the Season 4 episodes.

Well, writing inconsistencies and Charmed are mixed like peanut butter and jelly. If you hold each one against the writers, it makes for disgruntled viewing all the time.

I thought Julian and Holly had great chemistry in the entire episode. The purpose of Cole's visit wasn't about the pregnancy. It was to tell us where Cole was, and why he was there to help Piper and Leo. To my knowledge, he never disliked Leo and knew that their love was special.

Plus, he looked so HOT in the episode.

Jenn, I'm with you. Cole in Seven Year Witch was amazing. Julian and Holly had wonderful chemistry as actors and it was nice to see, with everything that Cole had been through with love, that he was able to help Piper and Leo with their own.

Speaking of Nip/Tuck, I gotta say that Holly Marie ought to consider guest starring. She and Julian have a wonderful chemistry and it would be neat to see the two of them on screen again together. I can't see Rose coming on the show, she seemed to be done with television, and I for one am really looking forward to her acting on the big screen again;Alyssaa would work too, but I think there would be a Cole/Phoebe dynamic there and not much other chance to develop as new characters.

I REALLY REALLY hated Cole when I first watched the epsidoes, and wished he would be vanquished soon, but now i look back and i kinda feel srry for him, after all he REALLY was trying to be good in the 5th season.

but i think he was atleast 75% pure evil

That the Avatars stole Cole's powers via getting Paige into the Alternate world to get rid of Cole but keep his powers in the collective and Cole human soul would end up back in the wasteland and could escape again as soon as he collected enough powers again?

or is it that because Phoebe was cruel to him at the end of "imp[ortance of being Phoebe" and h was moping, thought it was Paige's fault when she attackd hi, tried to use his avatarhood to get Phoebe back but her Sllutting around in that messed up alternate world still treating him like crap and and hating him so much to vanquish him finally proved to him that he was now just another nottch in Phoebe's bedpost and he had to finally let her go like only someone really in love can do, but didn't want her to be loveless or to lose hope so he tried to restore her faith in love and even helped in saving the relationship that gave Phoebe the most hope...Piper's and Leo's

And no, he told Piper a fib....he is "Uber-Cole" again, he just knows better to leave Phoebe alone and wallows in the "wasteland" instead of trying to integrate into the world again now that he has nothing to come back for...lest Paige hound after him constantly again considering how she was so determine to vanquish him last time "to give phoebe peace" (Self -righteous revenge all the deaths he caused as Balthazar under the guise of "good")

Sorry, but I don't believe there are any absolute answers in this matter. Maybe there wasn't a feud between Julian and Alyssa. Then again, maybe the rumor about him unwilling to appear on CHARMED if he had to work with her is true. After all, I found it odd that most of his scenes were with Holly and one was with Billy Zane.

I guess that we'll never know the truth.

You've just about described every sentient being on Earth. Then again, I don't buy the Judeo-Christian belief in demons being inherently evil.

I loved Cole he was so sexy and him and Phoebe were perfect together, i heard that his contract only went to season 5 and thats why they wrote him off

I do not believe for a minute this whole story about Julian/Alyssa not
getting along. The producers might have started it themselves to justify
the fact that Julian had no scenes with Alyssa. I think they could not
figure out what to do so they just ignored the issue.
