Official Cole Turner thread

If there is not to be a season 9, it would be nice if they could bring cole back for the final episode. He might give the last that remains of himself to stop this new big bad. But like others have said,maybe he is with pheobe for a short time before he is completly distroyed so they can produce a child(not evil).

Heck, someone was talking about cole's mom... what if she could be the big bad. Not going to happen,maybe, but interesting.

I don't know about the rest of you but I think they need to bring back the character of Cole Turner. I think Phoebe and he were the best couple on the show (next to Piper & Leo of course!)...

I loved Cole/Julian McMahon. I thought the Phoebe/Cole storyline was really fantastic. They had so much passion and chemistry between eachother. It was so sad when everything fell apart for them. I felt so sad for Cole because he truly loved Phoebe and his obsession to win her back made him, well, to quote "gone mad". I'm not really into Nip/Tuck as much as I was Charmed. I mean I love the raunchy sex scenes with Julian, but that's about it. Most of the show for me is boring. I don't really care about the characters, like I did on Charmed. Nip/Tuck just isn't compelling to watch. It's kind of an empty, immoral, shock factor show. I wish Julian hadn't left Charmed. I wish Shannon had stayed. I wish "Billie" would leave and I wish they had cast Jennifer Love Hewitt in the role of Paige, instead of Rose McGowen (I like Rose, but Jennifer would have fit better, I just know it). Now she's on that Ghost Whisperer thing, which rather bores me. Too bad they passed on her. Any thoughts?

I am a new charmed fan and I have been watching all the episodes from season 3 through 8 on the WB and TNT. Cole is the best character they ever had and for the show to end and not have he and Phoebe get together would be crazy wrong. As a man cole did so much for Phoebe by giving up so much being a demon, he become the source to save them, rescued her for the witch hunter when he shot the gun and flipped them. His love for her is unmatched and I hope someone knows that he needs to be in the ending of season 8

Cole's story was over by Centennial Charmed. By the time they finally vanquished him in that episode his story/character had been, in my opinion, dragged on to long. If you saw The Seven Year Witch, in it he stated that he had accepted his fate and wanted Phoebe to find love. As great as Phoebe and Cole were together, they're over and done with and have been for a while. I odn't think it's required to bring him back for the last season. Might be nice, but not a necessity.

I agree and it would be nice to see Julian return as cole to tie up some loose ends and to see phoebe move on.......

Is this season what you would even call a charmed season. It's "the billie and christy hour" starring Kaley Cuoco as Billie and her sister who we will inevitably meet.

Charmed ended last may. This is all just a spin off.

What loose ends? He already came back in The 7 year witch for that. Phoebe has moved on from him already too.

Cole was the worst thing to happen to Phoebe. I'd hate to see her go backwards and end up with him again. He brought out the very worst in her. She's definately moved on from him.

I believe that the cole/phoebe story could never truly be over, he was her soul mate and the one person she ever loved completly and he fell in love with her and tried so very hard to make things right. So many people still hold cole in their hearts. Not because they want to see Phoebe and cole get back together, but because the way that he died was completly unfair!

For those anti-coleists out there please have a little consideration for those that adored him, as I do, Im not asking you to stop disliking him, only listen to my argument.

I dont really want Cole/Phoebe to get back together, they can still do so much with his character, but I believe as many do- that It would be unfair to both characters if they ever did get back together (in my oppinion they should never have left eachother in the first place- but they did, and unless you can go back in time and appeal to the writers, nothing can change that). Erm...Scuse me? I loved Cole too, but it doesnt mean I have to agree with the whole Cole and Phoebe thing.

If they were meant for each other, why did he turn to evil and stick with it. I know it wasnt his fault about being the source of all evil but did he really have to be a nerd and steal demon powers? He knew what that would do and he knew it wouldnt impress Phoebe when she realised what he did.

Season Finale: Cole and Phoebe

I don't care how they do it but for the Season finale Cole and Phoebe must get back together or the whole show for the past 3 seasons will have been a total disappointment. Cole was the greatest demon of all time and love overpowered that. He became the source of all evil to save them and he still got no love. they sent him to hell and his love transceded through to keep him alive for phoebe. He saved her mutiple times after coming back still nothing. She was able to sense in the room in the 7 year witch episode. They belong together and anyone that thinks different is crazy. I'm a guy and I 'm touched by everything he went through. All those who believe in the Cole and Phoebe love. Reply

I read someplace the other day that cole left the show because he could not take it with Alyssa Milano any more. Said she was very demanding among other things. I know he has his own show but I found it so odd to read something like that.

I would have never mentioned this, if I had not read the above quote. But I heard that JM was willing to do "The 7 Year Witch" only if he could avoid doing any scenes with Alyssa Milano.

I always thought Julian got along well with Alyssa, It even said in one article that they would console each other on the set because they were both feeling the effects of a devorce at around the same time. Also I heard that he occasionally drops in to see the girls and the crew when he wasn't to busy.

No, no, NO!!!

Let's cover this one more time...Julian's departure had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with Alyssa!!! He was contracted to appear in a set number of episodes (as are all cast members...as a sidebar to this, a major reason Ms. Burges left "Charmed" after Season Three was the planned expansion of Cole's part; she really did not want another male 'regular' cutting into the sisters' story). With Cole a sensation, his role was 'beefed up' even more, and some of the best Cole/Phoebe episodes appeared. However, Julian felt, justifiably, that his character reached an apex, and there wasn't much left to accomplish, and he was offered a lead in "Nip/Tuck", when his "Charmed" obligation ended. He worked things out with Brad, and the storyline had him falling back into his 'bad' ways, building up to his being vanquished. Where things got messy was when the shooting schedule for "Nip/Tuck" was moved up, putting both Julian and Brad in an awkward position. Brad agreed to 'speed up' Cole's demise (which is why Julian, in interviews, says he 'owes' Brad), and the 'Avatar' subplot was quickly introduced, to provide a scenario for 'bad Phoebe' to reform, and Cole to be vanquished (why the Season Seven Avatars' 'intro' came across as awkward; they were proclaimed an 'unknown' entity, but we all were familiar what they could do, thanks to Cole!)

At NO point was there a Julian/Phoebe 'feud'! While his relationship with Alyssa wasn't as close as his was with Shannen, both actors got along fine...Any 'conflicts' were just the fantasies of the 'Hate Alyssa' clique!

haha yeah that was quite hilerous to watch, mine has most proberly gotta be when he tryed to cause tension between the sisters when he was going to get married to pheobe this includes; the dress, the cream, the demon etc..

i loved cole i thought he was a cool.... he tried so hard to be non-evil for pheobe but something always got in the way..! well oh well...... my cole moment waswhen he tried to kill him self bbut couldent becouse he was invincable... and i also like the one when he first proposed to pheobe when they where coverd in demon blood (o r whatever it was) and also the second time he proposed. well thats about it........... oh wait also when he came back this season to help piper.. i thought it was sweet at the end of the show when we finnaly learned that he sent drake to help pheobe find love again!! that was sweet!!!1 well thats finally it.. bye

..yeah, i`m really looking forward to Fantastic Four, Julian McMahon (Charmed`s Cole Turner) is playing Fantastic Four`s enemy, the evil Doctor Victor Von Doom..Yeah, it will be a very good Marvel movie, Julian is going to be cool there..

..My favorite cole moment are, almost all of his moments!..He`s cool.."The Seven Year Witch" (150th episode) on Season 7, when Cole appeared was also a great moment, among many others..

Cole was the greatest asset to Charmed I could ever think of. I just didn't like how Phoebe treated him after she found out that he was the source. Give the man a break, it wasn't his choice to become the source. He did it to save the sisters. And he fought all he could do undo the damage. He never harmed the sisters. All of them have been possessed by evil and done horrible things. (Piper once blew up Leo, remember?) Phoebe herself decided to become the Queen of the underworld. But when Cole turned evil, it was unforgivable... I don't know. I think, he should have gone down fighting against evil instead.
Episode 150 was great. To see him back, still in love with Phoebe wasn't very realistic, but at least it was romantic.

I agree with you! It was a very funny scene!

I like cole all the time, doesn't matter if he's good or bad. But i like him more when he's good and when he and phoebe are happy!!

Three fav Cole one-liners come to mind

- Season 3 where Phoebe turned into a Banshee- Piper summoned Cole from the underworld to get his help... she ended up throwing the vanquishing potion at him. He pretended to be in getting vanquished, then stopped, smiled, and said something like 'surprise'...

- Season 4 when Paige was the 'new' and 'borrowed' the book of shadows- Piper thought a demon had stolen the book, and was angry when Phoebe mentioned Paige 'borrowed' it. They were leaving to go find Paige, Phoebe ran back to Cole and said "Are you coming", to which he replied "To vanquish your sister? I dont think so"

- one of the first Cole episodes in Season 3 where he found Phoebe at school. She turned around to karate-kick him, and he grabbed her leg, and held on to it...

I love Cole in every episode he was in, but one scene which particularly comes to mind is in Look Who's Barking, in the Mausoleum after he tells Phoebe that he loves her and she changes back from the Banshee. That was very touching and brilliantly played by both Julian and Alyssa. He could just feel that love spark between them, despite their protestations.

Cole's " Vanquish"

Ok last night i was watching the episode " Sam I Am" and right at the end Cole trys to vanquish himself. But it doesnt work. But what i am really wanted to talk about is the intensity of that explosion. It was amazing. I thought it had to be watched twice to i watched the eppy on LivingTv+, and i still found it equally amazing.

I still think it was a set up by the Avatars to steal Cole's Powers before sending Paige back to the Real reality and Cole back to the Wasteland (Where the beast would still be alive by the way) as that Avatar suspiciously knew way too much bout the reality they were in.

And yes, That astral Plane between life and death where Cole collected all his powers the last time is where he'd end up again and just have to collect powers to escape......of course just not foolish to to flaunt himself in front of Paige after her trying to constantly kill him cause he is Balthazar and killed innocents and in "unredeemable" under the guise of "giving Phoebe peace"

Oops, thought you were talking about 100th.

Yeah, THE POWER OF 3 with maxed out potions and spells couldn't destroy Cole yet one little witch with a Balthazar potion that wasn't enchanted with the "Hoof and Shell" spell by the 3 girls worked against him in the Avatar created reality...yeah right

lol, its ok Archangel. the 100th eppy was also really good, but i just thought that the " vanquish" in Sam I Am was just, plain and simple, amazing

The Avatars needed Cole's power to add to their collective and because he ended up getting himself killed (Julian wanted off the show to work on other projects), the Avatars then realized they needed more power to add to their collective for their plan to succeed in creating a Utopia. Thus the next most powerful next to the indestructible Cole...The Charmed Ones and Leo who at the time had become quite a powerful elder. Enough said!

And here's the kicker....

The Elders and the Girls claim to be good, but once of the main focuses on being truley good is Mercy over vengence.

Cole showed Mercy too many times...in fact he was way more powerful then the girls individually from day 1, yet he showed Mercy out of Love (love=utter good) when he could have easily killed Piper and Paige and even Phoebe in a heartbeat

On the other hand the girls were always so eager to destroy him in vengenge on even the slightest wronging by him on them.....Phoebe even going so far as to try to blame demons attack on him so they she could justify vanquishing the first time...remember?

The girls came burstings into his apartment in Revenge when they finally vanquished him as the Source and despite all his threats to stop them he didn't and even "let them vanquish him" cause he was to stupid in love/Mercy to defend himself properly (I would imagine not even one source sized fireball to kill each of them)

And again, in the alternate reality he was begging Phoebe to come back to him and staying his hand in Mercy/Love instead of instantly turning Piper and Paige to ashes like even the "Merely Balthazar" was capable of and Phoebe killed Cole in Vengence

So, yeah. I personally feel Cole was the "Good" one and the girls are no better then those they vanquish for being "evil"

I love/loved Cole. He was my favorite non charmed or Leo character ever. I even liked him more than Prue. Which by the way died today in the reruns of TNT and I cried. How sad, Ive seen every episode since then and I didnt even like her any way. But... its so sad. And Cole was there! He is so funny. He always lets a little of his evil side come through.
