So this is a story that I wrote about one of the characters I made up. It doesn’t have to do with any movies but I think that it’s cool.
Before I start I’m going to describe the character to you. Here goes.
Maggie is a single mom. Her daughter’s name is Claire and she has had a bad experience with love. She looks like Paige with red hair. She loves her daughter to death. They both live in a loft apartment.
OK now on to the story
Maggie sat at her desk. She had been all morning. She didn’t know what to do. She wanted to give Claire a father but she just couldn’t face love or a relationship. All it did was tear people apart. Or at least in her sake. She couldn’t and she wouldn’t.
Getting up she felt how stiff you her back was. Stretching she felt just a tad better but it would take longer for her just to even not be stiff. Smiling she walked into the nursery.
The nursery. The place where she always felt calm and collected. The warm yellow walls and the soft pastel pink furniture. Her Baby’s name on the door. Walking on to the fuzzy yellow carpet she stopped at the crib. Watching her baby sleep. Her chest to rise and collapse. Her daughter wouldn’t wake for a few more minutes since it was only still in the early day break.
Smiling she sat down in the rocker. Softly rocking herself. Looking around she looked through the window. She had the best view in her entire apartment building. It looked over the town lake. Seeing all the early morning divers. How did they do that so early in the morning? Contemplating this she heard the soft gurgle of her baby.
Getting up she reached into the crib. Maggie softly smiled at her 18 month old baby. Adorable and sweet. Taking Claire into the kitchen for some early morning breakfast.
Setting Claire in high chair, Maggie headed for the refrigerator. Getting out the normal vitamin enhanced baby milk she poured it into a bottle. Taking up the sweet little one again she put the bottle to her mouth. Watching her suckle along on the bottle.
Once finished Maggie put Claire in her bouncer. She had to get ready for work and she had to make herself some breakfast as well. Working at the daycare was a joy to her since she could spend pretty much all day with her little girl. Pouring herself a bowl of cereal she smiled. Eating it she leafed through the daily news.
All it had in store was bad news about the war. She hated it. Cleaning out the bowl and bottle she placed them in the dishwasher. Walking into her room with Claire in arms she placed the giggling child on the bed as she jumped in the shower as quickly as possible. Coming back out she smiled at her smiling baby. Picking out a pair of jeans and a long turtle neck she slowly got dressed.
Once finished she picked up Claire again and carried her to the nursery. Dressing her she watched as Claire looked around the room. Giggling Maggie picked her up and grabbed her purse.
Heading to her black mini van she placed Claire into her car seat. Smiling she made sure she had everything. Starting the car she buckled.
Driving she turned on the radio. Listening to the weather reports. It was suppose to Snow later that day. Groaning she pulled into the parking lot.
This is only the first installment !!
