Well I have version 3.05 but it shouldn't be different really. When you have clicked on the first frame, go to "Effects" then click on "Insert Image Transition". You will get this box: i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee155/claresown/fade.jpgYou want to edit it so it starts blank then loads into the image - so you would "Start with" a custom colour or a blank canvas and make sure "End with" says "animation frame". Does that make sense?

No problem Erm... maybe when you start a new animation, make it 99x99 pixels, then add your images and then make it 100x100 and choose a background colour (or you could start with the animation at 100x100 and make the images only 99x99 and center them)? Or you could manually add a border to each frame?

Ok, well if no one else replies, I'll try to explain it better. I rarely use Animation Shop so maybe someone who uses it more often can give better ideas.

Nicholas, when you create your animation, are you doing it in PSP first, then bringing it to Animation Shop? If you are, all you have to do is click on each frame(once you have them resized) and go to Image>Add Border, choose your color and the pixel width. Make sure you use the same settings for all your frames. Now, if it's an animation you have already made, and you want to go back and add the border---open in Animation Shop, then highlight each frame, edit>copy and paste as a new image in PSP. Image>Add Border, choose your color and width. Do this with each frame, careful to choose the same color and width for each one. Now you can go back and rebuild your animation, with new borders. There are other ways to do this, but in my opinion this is the simplest way.
