I'm having a crisis when it comes to my series, "Femmes Fatales". For those unfamiliar with it (as many of you are) it's essentially a supernatural drama about female private investigators with superhuman abilities. I've posted videos of it and talked about it off-and-on but I need help...
I'm feeling like my character of Andie Bennett is lacking some substance. I'm not exactly liking the powers and occupation I've given her and feel that she needs a little revamp to make her more interesting in order to perfectly compliment the other characters... and since I believe powers are a reflection of personality I'll give a little bio of sorts:
Andie is a self-professed urban-cowgirl. She's an excellent markswoman, equestrian and can drink just about anyone under a table. She's a mix of Indiana Jones and James Bond. Her love of technology keeps her outfitting the Femmes with cool gadgets for their various missions. Above all of this, she holds a special place in her heart for Tai Childs (her cousin). She feels a motherly bond to him and feels she needs to protect him from the dangers he's encountered since becoming a witch. She's also faced with fears of aging as she draws closer and closer to her 40s and her search for love seems to be hopeless.
This may or may not help... Andie is based mostly off of Shannen Doherty and that's what I picture her looking like... I originally had Andie as a theatre director with astral projection but obviously with the renewal of 90210 I felt it was too close to Brenda with superpowers (Prue's coincidentally).
Also... I've already have many powers given to other characters (force fields, earthquakes, conjuring, TK, telepathy, mind control, light control, technopathy) so those are off limits.
So what powers should she have and what job should she have? Think of it like this: This should essentially be the dream character for Shannen Doherty to portray so think about what you'd want to see her doing.
