Let's make Charmed Cafe History

I'm sure someone mentioned doing something like this many months ago... it would be awesome if we could break the "record" but it would be hard finding a Universal time for everyone to get online.

It's not gonna happen. That was right after Charmed ended and since people have strayed and/or don't come to the cafe as much. Like it or not..now the the show is over and has been over for more than 2 years, that's gonna stay the record.

I'm pretty sure we do not even have 100 active members. So, yeah, forget about TIME. We don't have the members for it.

And why would we want to break the record? The record is for Charmed's ending. That's for the best.

I see what Assasin Witch is saying. Leaving the record as is makes it kinda nostalgic and special seeing as it was set for the FINALE of Charmed, rather than the record being set just to break was it was before.

And I don't really think the president thing quite the same thing...

Besides there's the factors already mentioned..the time thing and the members issue.

No because I don't come to the Cafe on a schedule. I come when I have free time and when I'm bored.

Bet you wouldn't want to be so quick to break the record had you been here on that day. I agree with Assassin. It was Charmed's ending and therefore it SHOULD hold the record. We're not "electing" a new record soo comparing it to that makes zero sense.

Thinking about it, i don't even believe it ever will be possible to set a new record, since the list of active members now is smaler than it was on the particular date in 2006, where 163 members was online at the same time.

most people come her for fun not for a record.if you want to do it you can but just remember no one is going to drop what there doing to do some thing you want. i see why you want to but some people do want to come in when some one wants them too. i dont want anyone telling me what to do. some people dont want to come any more because there sad charmed is done. so please give it up.it wouldnt happen if only 100 wants to do it.like you said thers over 9,000 people on hear.

Because a huge ammount of members left after Charmed was canceled, then there are also the ones that only joined in, but never really has been active.
Try browsing threw the members lists and see when they last was active and how many messages they have posted.

This board is 3.5 years old. Charmed was still on. That's how we have so many REGISTERED members. REGISTERED and ACTIVE are two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT things.

I just deleted thousands of un activated accounts from the membership list.

What does unactivated mean, well it means they haven't log in for ages and usually only once and there email account wasn't verified. so if they haven't come back since the time they logged in and the email isn't right then they probably can't even get back into their account.

Sounds like an interesting idea but I don't think it would work unless the members were coming for a certain reasons like prize give aways or something.

I have seen this idea on other forums as well, and it sounds interesting but I don't think it could happen.

As The Original P3 said since the show has been over for two years its no longer the hottest thing to discuss. Thus there is hardly a reason for people to be pouring in. I mean look at me, I have have not been around here pretty much since before summer. I will always love Charmed but I have periods of time where it accidentally gets hidden in my mind. That's what happens when a show ends. The love for it will never end but it can easily be forgotten just the same in favor of shows that are newer. I have noticed the change in activity here even in only around three to six months absence. When I first joined this place was decently alive there were replies to threads every few minutes. Now in my return Esmeralda is the first I have actually seen on. Other than that I have to come back after an hour or two just to see one reply to something. The point of this paragraph that was not supposed to be so big hehe; is that since the show is over this place is getting less and less activity so there are not a lot of members to participate, and also people are not going to come running and pour into a place for a dying show.

Plus the less significant of the problems with this is with all of us in different time zones it would be difficult to make sure the chosen time works for everyone.

i think it's a good idea and should happen but make advertising all over the cafe about it and get people to get online a couple minutes before the time.

it should be in a couple of months so everyone gets plenty of notice and keep reminding everyone

it also gives people a bit of a goal to set

as charmed isnt that popular sadly i dont tink it coul,d happen i think you should send everyone a email saying what date and time (showing time zone) to see if it can be done!
