Part 4

The middle sister Kira walked slowly up the stairs, she just needed to be alone for a while, away from her sisters and family. They thought they were helping but to Kira they just weren’t, not to Kira anyway. She was just about to reach the top when she heard Piper speaking to her.

“Are you ok hun?”

“Yea I’m fine I just need to lie down for a while.” Kira stopped and answered but didn’t look at Piper.
“Oh ok then, if you need anything just let me know ok?”

“Yea I will, thanks aunt Piper”

Kira kept walking until she reached her bedroom. Looking around her room the simplest of memories kept flooding back. Stuff Kira hadn’t thought of in years. She noticed something in the corner of her eye on her desk, it was her diary. She hadn’t written anything in it in years, maybe it could be a way that she could get stuff off her chest without having to talk to her family about it.

She opened the diary and turned to a blank page. Kira wrote the date at the top and began to write…


‘ Dear Diary,

My moms funeral was today, to be perfectly honest I don’t know how I got through it, the whole time I wanted to cry and scream and throw something all at the same time. Why didn’t I? For my family I guess, everyone was just so upset I felt I had to stay strong just so they didn’t break down even more. I know it is stupid but it’s just the way I felt at the time.

I don’t know how we are going to get through this. Mom is gone and so is Dad, he could be dead too for all we know. Mom was the glue that held our family together and I am afraid that without her we are going to fall apart. Prue is so distant I don’t think she has spoken to anybody all week. Penny is just so young, she shouldn’t have had to go through this yet. Neither should I. Mom was meant to be alive until we all had families of our own and she was really old, not when me and Prue are in our early twenties and Penny is still a teenager.

Now to Dad I can’t believe what he has done. He left us without so much as a goodbye, he knows about mom and he still left. How could he do that to us, we are his daughters, he is mean to protect us now.

I just want mom to come back to us, we need her here.

I miss her so much.’


As Kira finished a single tear dropped on the paper. Writing it down didn’t really help at all. It just made it worse.



Ok this part is dedicated to my Father who died on the 7th May 2006 aged 49. Most of the diary entry was inspired from one I wrote after his funeral. I hope you like it. I worked really hard on it.

Part 5

“Penny what are you doing?” an annoyed Chris asked looking at his younger cousin as she wondered through the house.

“I’m looking for Prue, has anyone seen her since we got back?” Penny said walking into yet another room. “It’s ok I found her” Penny shouted through the door and turned back to see her sister.
Penny walked further in, as she did Penny noticed a broken lamp on the floor “Prue what happened?”

“It uh fell” Prue replied having lied to her sister, she had thrown the lamp in a fit of rage a couple of minutes earlier. “Is everyone ok, do they need anything?” Prue quizzed her sister whilst she stood up from a chair.

“Everyones fine, Aunt Piper and Aunt Paige are making something for us all to eat and I think they are planning on staying here for a while. Until we figure things out” Penny responded still looking at the lamp.

“Why are they staying, I mean its not like they need too. We will just cast a spell or something and mom will come back, I was actually just about to get the…” Prue was interrupted.

“Prue, don’t do this you know as well as I do that a spell will not bring her back. As much as I wish it would it just won’t” Penny finished with tears in her eyes.

But Prue didn’t listen she just began walking past her little sister and up the stairs to the attic.

Penny sighed and walked through to Piper and Paige who were still in the kitchen “Aunt Piper”

“Yea Penny”

“Prues gone crazy”

“Penny your sister is not crazy”

“No I didn’t mean it like that, she thinks that she can bring mom back with a spell, she’s in the attic now”

Piper turned from the stove, she knew exactly how Prue was feeling. How was Piper supposed to help Prue, it was Phoebe that helped Piper.

“I will go up there in a minute, just go and sit with Wyatt for me, so I can speak to Prue alone.”

“Do you want me to go with you” Paige asked.

“No I should be fine”

Part 6[/u]

The dark attic seemed bare but as Piper looked around she saw her niece sat down in the corner of the room. “Prue hunnie, are you ok?” Piper asked softly walking closer to Prue.

Prue lifted her head up to her aunt, it was clear to Piper that Prue had been crying because her eyes were all red and just the look on Prues face made it clear to Piper.

“There has to be something Piper, I’ve seen you summon spirits before, why can’t you just summon mom?” Prue said as a stream of tears rolled down her face.

“Its hard to explain but you have to let your mother go, they wouldn’t let us summon your aunt Prue for years”

“But we need her here”

“I know”

“And dads gone, I mean he was never the best father but I thought he would be here for us you know when our mother died”

Piper found it hard not to say what she really thought about Coop, it was the last thing Prue needed to hear. “Look just come downstairs the meal is probably ready now, we will talk about everything another day, right now your sisters need you to be there for them”.

Wow, I really love this fanfic- i haven't read much of the spin-offs but this one strick my interest. i feel so much for all of them- i can't imagine how hard it is. Piper lost Prue when she was around Young Prue's age. We saw the emotional turmoil on both sisters now we get to read the next generations reaction to losing Phoebe.

I really want to know where Coop is too- i have a feeling either he is trying to figure out his wife's death or find a way to bring her back.

First, don't worry, Georgia, we won't kill you if you don't update right away, since we all know how busy with Real Life we can get. I hope you don't kill *me* when I'm behind in reading two updates! But I've read both of them now and thoroughly enjoy them!

I love the idea that it's Phoebe's daughter Prue who is determined to bring back Phoebe when it was Phoebe who told Piper that she couldn't bring back Prue! And now it's Piper who has to tell her niece...all the memories this has to be bringing back for Piper! It has to hurt SOOO much!

I smiled that Paige was willing to go with her, but happier that Piper decided to do it herself.

I can't say I think she did the best of jobs; if I were Prue, what she said wouldn't have helped much and I would've stayed upstairs. But what she said is typical Piper--you had her character spot on--comforting has simply never been her thing--she'd rather BE comforted than be doing the comforting. Hopefully Paige comes up and does a better job, or even Leo or Henry.

What I think I liked best about this part is the fact that after awhile they *were* able to talk with Prue's spirit, so that Prue will know that after awhile she *will* be able to talk with her Mom's spirit; she just has to accept the fact that she's truly gone, and that, of course, takes some time.

Part 7

Four Months Later

“Maybe we should have asked Piper for help” Penny said as took out a burnt chicken from the oven, she smiled at her sister. Cooking was not any of the girls strong points, maybe they should have at least tried to listen when Piper was teaching them how to make anything worth eating. “Seriously Kira, we can’t order take out again. It’s been three times this week.” Penny added putting the tray on the counter top.

“We could still eat it, I mean its only crispy” Kira said quietly her eyes on the food that was now nothing more than a cinder. “Anyway where is Prue? Shouldn’t she be here to help us?” She questioned her little sister. God she was getting sick of this, Kira barely managed to take care of herself when she moved out, now she had to look after this house and her little sister. Of course Prue was doing most of the taking care of things, it seemed like she was always working or working, to be honest that’s all Prue did now. Work.

Penny laughed “Where she always is, at work. I swear she loves that place better than here, all she keeps saying is work this and report that. I don’t even know what she does.” Her thoughts moved to the so called food, she would get cooking lessons from Piper. At least then she could contribute something to the family.

“Hmm neither do I, we’ll ask her later” Kira said, she felt pretty bad that she had no idea what her own sister worked as. They really had been disconnected lately.

Meanwhile in elders land.

“The underworld is rising, they know the power of three is gone. I'm surprised they have not done anything yet” One of the elders sat on his chair said as he looked around at the other elders and Whitelighters. “There’s nothing we can do, its gone. We will have to just pool all our power if anything…”

“Wait” One of the elders named Clarissa said from the end of the line of chairs. “The power of three prophecy states, that the power will come to three sisters in the Warren line.”

“What does that have to do with it” Another elder interrupted.

“If you would just let me finish” Clarissa said angrily. “You’re all missing the main point, Phoebe has three girls. Prudence, Kira & Penelope. They are eligible to the power.” She finished a gave a smile feeling that they had finally found a solution.

“You must be joking, the youngest is only a teenager, there is no way that they can handle this power

“You thought the same thing about Prue, Piper & Phoebe”

Part 8

“What” Prue said as she paced up and down the living room. A frown plastered across her face, what the hell was wrong with these elders. Could they not leave the family alone for once.

“The power is rightfully yours, we need a power of three or the balance between good and evil will slide to evil” Cassandra said looking at Prue. There was nothing more the elders wanted but a power of three to help protect the balance.

“She’s right Prue, good magic needs a power of three to keep it going, Piper, Paige and mom were really needed” Penelope said from the couch, the book of shadows in her lap. The page being at the Dominus Trinus spell, the one she knew was the one that her mother had read all those years ago to get the power of three.

“Oh and where did it get mom? she’s dead because of this stupid power” Prue snapped back and stopped pacing her eyes locked on Penny.

Meanwhile Kira was sat next to Penny on the couch, not wanting to say anything her thoughts were also like Prues. The power of three ruining her life was not what she needed right now.

“Prue we are all at risk from demons, we’re Halliwells. If we have the power at least we might have the chance to protect ourselves. Mom was caught off guard you know that” Penny said still calm to Prue. She didn’t want to be reminded of that day it killed her enough to think about without her sister bringing it up.

Cassandra smiles at Penny, at least one of them looked keen to get the power, even if it was the youngest and probably the most naive one. “Look I know this power is a very big responsibility but the elders think that you can handle it”

“Look could you just go back to the elders and say that we have to think about this, when we make up our mind we will shout” Kira finally spoke. She stood up and walked over to Cassandra. “We just need some time”

“Say no more. Call me if you need us” Cassandra said as blue orbs appeared around her within five seconds she was gone.

“Right so we are agreed, no power of three they can give it to someone else” Prue said as soon as the elder disappeared.

“No Prue we are not” Penny stood up “They cant give it to anyone else, do you not remember the prophecy. And besides I want the power”

“Well you would, you have no idea what you are getting yourself in for Penny. Just leave Kira and I to sort this out”

“Prue will you stop treating me like I am five. You know what I could just say the spell now”

“You wouldn’t “

“Hear now the words of the witches,
The secrets we hid in the night.
The oldest of Gods are invoked here
The great work of Magic is sought…….

LOL, I got a kick out of the girls having a tough time cooking and needing Aunt Piper's help--sounds like they take after their mom in that regard! (Me, too! If you can't boil it or nuke it, forget it! )

I also got a kick out of Prue working, working and more working. Definitely sounds like Phoebe named the right daughter Prue!

But it's good to see Penny laughing--Paige or Leo must've talked to her...

YAY!!! Phoebe's daughters get to be the new Charmed Ones, just like I've always wanted!! Oh, Georgia, you have totally made my day!! Now, if only Kira's name was was really Patty (even tho I love Phoebe naming one of her daughters after Kira, who along with Drake and Zankou were my favorite S7 characters, WAAAAY over the Charmed Ones!), you would have my dream New Charmed One--they could be Prue, Patty and Penny, the new 3 P's AND maybe be the reincarnation of their great-grandmother, their grandmother and their aunt! What a fantastic new set of Charmed Ones *that* would make!

Oh, well, maybe in a different story...

Now in order to be able to be the new Charmed Ones, one must be able to move things with her mind; one must be able to freeze time and one must be able to see the future. THAT's part of the prophecy, too.

hehehehehe! Oh, does Penny remind me of both Grams *and* Phoebe! Maybe this IS my dream new Charmed Ones despite Kira's name! And I love both Prue and Kira not wanting anything to do with it due to what happened to Phoebe!

I have just one other wish--IF these *aren't* Grams, Patty and Prue reincarnated, I hope Aunt Prue gets to be their whitelighter, even if Aunt Prue would NEVER listen to a word the elders said!

AND I can't wait to find out what Mr. Twice-Blessed Child thinks about NOT being Charmed!! hehehehehehehe!

Es you have seriously made my day. So many nice things and so many things to think about.

The name, I know should have been Patricia but i can't change it now seeing as the story has already started. To be honest after the first couple of parts I wanted to change it but..

At the moment Penny is my favorite character. I really wanted her to be like her mother, guess it is just lucky that she is also like her Great-Grandmother. She is so fun to write for.

I get what you are saying about the prophecy, don't worry i didn't forget just trying to figure out if it should be in the same order as Prue, Piper and Phoebe's were.

Yes Prue the workaholic, to be honest the way i see it is she misses her mother allot so just keeps busy all the time. This showed in her anger about becoming the Charmed Ones.

I don't think Wyatt would be too bothered about it. Chris was the power hungry one in my book. Whenever *good* Wyatt was on the show he was really sweet.

Hmm Prue as a whitelighter. Stop reading my mind Es.

YAY! Glad to hear that you were reading my mind! And it will be fun to think of Kira as Patty even if that's not her name.

Yeah, you're right about Wyatt--I'm just always irritatated at him for being so powerful when as a male the only power he should've had was whitelighter ones from his father! But, oh, I like the idea of Chris being the one jealous of the Charmed Ones! That should be GREAT fun!

As for who gets which power, that's truly totally up to you. After all, in the *second* set, it was the OLDEST who could freeze time, the MIDDLE who could see the future and the YOUNGEST who could move things with her mind, even if the oldest was still a middle child, the middle the baby and the youngest, the only child, who should've been much more like an older than the middle child! So figure out which power fits who best and have fun!

Now if Aunt Prue wasn't going to be part of this (I'm excited that she is!) and if she was actually her niece Prue, then I'd want Prue to still be able to move things with her mind, Patty, I mean Kira, still able to freeze and Penny be the one who can see the future, because Grams misused her powers so much--the same way that in her next life, Phoebe WON"T be able to see the future and Piper WON'T be able to freeze things or explode things, while both Paige and Prue would still be able to move things with their minds.

BUT since Aunt Prue obviously can't be both a whitelighter and Phoebe's daughter, you can truly do the powers however you want!

“PENNY” Prue shouted and ran towards her sister and was about to jump on her when Penny stopped speaking. Kira looked at her two sisters who were now staring at each other, no words were exchanged for over a minute before Prue finally spoke in a quiet but angry tone. “Do you have any idea what you nearly got us into” She finished and took a deep breath in order to stop herself from strangling her little sister.

“Well of course I knew, I wouldn’t of said it otherwise would I?” Penny said sarcastically “Now can I please finish?” She added looking to the book again, Penny wasn’t really going to say anything but she was annoyed at Prue, why didn’t she understand that they needed to become the power of three, people needed them. Penny knew that her mother died because she was a charmed one but Penny also knew that Phoebe would have wanted them to take this opportunity, after all whenever her mother used to talk about being a charmed one she only had good things to say about feeling really good when they saved an innocent.

“Penny can’t you just give us time, we need to talk to Piper at least” Kira said from behind Prue, why was she always in the middle, Kira hated conflict between her sisters. It wasn’t as bad when Prue moved out but as soon as she came back everything just seemed to set Penny and Prue off in an argument. Not a day went by without some conflict between the pair of sisters.

Penny sighed “Fine but you both know we need to do this, mom would’ve wanted it” She finished and closed the book but still holding it to her chest. “Lets go now then” She added standing up getting ready to heart teleport herself to Pipers house.

The three sisters stood in a line holding each others hands, Penny in the middle Kira to her right and Prue to her left. A puff of pink smoke surrounded the girls and in two second they were gone.


Part 10[/u]

Piper was in the kitchen as per usual concocting something new for her restaurant, the radio was on and she was humming along to the song. The pink smoke arrived again and now the girls were behind their aunt who was oblivious of their arrival. “Piper” Kira said. Piper dropped her spoon and spun around “Oh goodness girls you scared me, how are you?” She said a warm smiled on her face as she turned back around to turn the stove down. Piper wondered why Penny had the book of shadows under her arm, was there a new demon to fight. Piper had been a bit worried about demons, she wasn’t a charmed one anymore, she just knew she wasn’t.

“Well we just had some pretty interesting news, didn’t we Prue?” Penny looked to her sister who just as she thought was frowning like crazy. “Piper we’re the new Charmed Ones” Penny added smiling excitedly “Well not yet we still have to say the spell but the elders came and..”

“Wait what?” Piper interrupted completely shocked by the whole thing. It was a little too much for her to take in, this meant that it was really over, not that Piper minded that but she didn’t want her nieces taking over the job. She didn’t want to lose them like she lost both of her sisters. Piper wouldn’t be able to deal with that, she barely got through losing her sisters. “Do you all want this?” Piper asked.

“yes”
“no”

Penny and Prue both spoke at the same time.

Oh! I *so* love this part:

Penny knew that her mother died because she was a charmed one but Penny also knew that Phoebe would have wanted them to take this opportunity, after all whenever her mother used to talk about being a charmed one she only had good things to say about feeling really good when they saved an innocent.

That's absolutely the BEST reason to want to become Charmed and I'm so glad that Phoebe wised up after Forever Charmed to realize this and pass it on to her daughters! I'll bet it was Coop who helped her realize this!

LOL, sounds like Kira is a typical middle sister, the same way Penny is a typical little sister--you've got that down pat! Sounds like Kira is always stuck in the middle, just like her Aunt Piper always was between their Aunt Prue and their mom!

I loved the fact that rather than the youngest (Phoebe) who moved out before and then moved back, it was the oldest (Prue). I SO loved how you're making this set of Charmed Ones similar but different than the original ones!

I'm glad you're letting the girls have Coop's power of heart-teleportation. If Paige and Wyatt and Chris inherited Leo's power of orbing (even tho they shouldn't have), then Coop's daughters certainly should've inherited that.

I liked that part a LOT! A bit short, maybe, but still very enjoyable. And I LOVE not having to wait until I get to read Part Ten. But I can tell you that so far, this is my favorite post-Forever Charmed Second Gen fic that I've ever read!

By the way, now we know for sure that Prue *isn't* her Aunt Prue reincarnated, because she *would* want to become the Charmed Ones again; that's part of who Prue was, just like Penny *as* Penny. Now with everything that happens, Kira as Patty I could see not wanting them...

But since they're obviously NOT those three reincarnated, I can't wait to see what happens next. PLEASE update soon!
