It was a cold windy night in San Francisco. There was nobody around Golden Gate park, and you could clearly hear the wind blowing through the branches of trees. The moon was half visible through the clouds and a pretty brunette could be seen from the glows.
She didn’t know why she was there, but it seemed relaxing feeling the breeze in her hair, and it definitely felt fantastic to escape from her family fussing around her ever since she had gotten out of hospital.
As she sat alone on the park bench, the young girl looked around sharply as she heard twigs snap.
She stood up rapidly and spun round, squinting her eyes to try and see through the dark. She waited a while and laughed at herself for being silly.
She loosely folded her arms and sat back down again. The girl thought back over the past couple of weeks.
Ever since she had been mugged a couple weeks back she had been stopped from going out, and every time she had attempted she had been literally lassoed. The only reason she had gotten out now was because she had climbed down the drain pipes.
She laughed again as she thought that her sister would be going crazy right now if she realised that she had escaped.
She jumped as she heard more twigs snapping, and this time she realised it wasn’t her imagination.
“Who’s there?” She called, to which she got no reply.
She span around again as she heard more twigs snap behind her.
“Who’s there? Show yourselves!” She shouted again.
She looked around and saw 4 figures come out of the shadows. She felt chills down her spine and tried to back away.
“Constance, is it?” One of the figures asked.
The girl whimpered and moved further back, however stopped when she felt herself bump into something. She turned around and realised she had walked into someone else.
As she looked at them and saw she couldn’t see their faces as they were covered in what seemed like red masks.
“You were lucky the other week, child” One of them said to her.
The girl tried to run away but another of the figures lunged towards her and grabbed her arms.
“I d-d-d-don’t know what you’re talking about!”
The speaker stepped forwards, cackling as he did so.
“Did you really think you could discover our secret and get away with it?!”
She heard the others snigger. She tried as much as she could to pull away but could feel her efforts not paying.
“There is no point in trying to escape. We have you now.”
“I haven’t done anything wrong! I don’t know what you’re talking about!”
“Constance, we know you know” Another voice chimed in.
The girl felt her stomach drop.
“Rose?” She asked.
The figure that had spoken out, stepped back.
“We want people to live in fear, without people knowing who and what we are” The leader spoke again.
“What makes you think I’m the only person who knows about you?” The girl cried out.
“Because we killed everyone who we thought may have been onto us” Another masked figure spoke, with crazy evil in his voice.
“And now, its your turn” The guy holding Constance down grunted.
“Young Turner, do your job” The leader shouted to the figure the girl had recognised before.
The figure walked towards her and all the young could do was watch as the figure removed her hood and mask.
Constance gasped as she saw the face.
“I’m sorry… Well, maybe not so much” The figure laughed evilly as they stepped away and summoned a fire ball.
“No! NO! Please!” Constance begged.
There was a flash of light, and a sound of a heavy bump on the floor.
The figures walked away, leaving Constance lying on the grass, motionless.
