Which character could you most likely get a legitimate 3 seasons out of if left on their own? It can be a sister, family member, demon, or anyone else. But marriages do not count. Just one character--no spouses involved.

Probably Piper. Holly has the acting skills to hold up a show on her own. Let's face it, she did it for about two years anyway. ;D

Kyra the Demonic Seer who wanted to be a mortal (Charisma Carpenter! ESPECIALLY if she brought along her executive producer from Buffy!) Of all the stories that could be continued, hers was the most interesting. She SOOOO should've been the new witch in S8 rather than Billie the Teenaged Thuperwitch. Had she, we probably still would be watching the spinoff--UNLESS she had to tolerate Kern as her executive producer, of course.

I hadn't thought of Bianca, but now that Jackie brought it up, I could see an interesting series being made about her and getting three seasons out of it.
I also think Drake could pull it off. I know he died, but imagine a prequel series with Drake (and potentially Cole appearances and/or story arc as well)? I've always wondered how they met and became such friends and then why they parted ways. Billy Zane's an incredible actor and Drake is one of the best characters in Charmed's history, so I think he could definitely pull it off. (Just imagine the comedy!)
And I'm probably bias, but I think a Melinda Halliwell spinoff (headed by Connie Burge without Kern) also has potential for at least three seasons.

This is interesting. Definitely not the sisters especially towards the end . okay so I have a few. Cole. He was so complex in his way and a show with flashbacks from his past, involvment with other demons and what happened to him after he died all seems interesting to me. Es already said one of the other best characters which is Kyra. She was fun, sexy and Charisma Carpenter would be able to pull it of. thats basically it. Oh and Drake also sounds like a good idea. But maybe not a sequel to charmed but a prequel about how drake was before he met them .

I don't think I'd be very interested in a limbo series with Cole, but I'd definitely watch a prequel series with Cole/Belthazor and how Cole was like prior to being assigned to kill TCO. Julian has the talent and fan base to pull off such a series for at least three seasons as well. (As long as Kern was nowhere in sight, mind you. Otherwise he'd ruin the small bit of redemption we got in "The Seven Year Witch.") And while I was reading this thread, I had an odd epiphany. Drake/Kyra. It's too bad they never met (that we know of). I think they would've been great for each other! lol

My problem with Piper is that it says no marriage and whatnot. So, without Leo and the boys, what would it be about?
Cole...Drake..
er... maybe when CRR is over we can do a spin off with Cole, Drake, and Abby. Seems many people are interested. lol.

Same thing with Drake. what happened in their past. There was many unanswered questions for both characters i think. But Kyra could've been a spin-off of charmed. She really grew on me, especially in wichness protection hmm...imagine cole, drake and kyra all working together many years ago. ha that would've been a sight. but thats a bit of topic.

Drew Fuller would be good on his own. He was already in a whole season, and he did a really good job.

I decided to take a little stroll through General Discussion's past threads and ran into one that I thought was interesting. If I were going to select one character from the show to stand alone I would choose Prue. It might not last long on the tube but I think it has possibilities.
The sisters would have all moved on, maybe giving up their powers, maybe not...but they have left the Bay Area. They can't part with the family home, so they just close it up and pay the taxes long distance. A care-taker comes and goes to help keep the place up.
They finally decide that they can't afford to just let the house sit, so they make sure that all of the magical paraphernalia is removed, and they rent it out to San Francisco State and it becomes a sorority house.
Enter....The Ghost of Prue. Could be fun for a spell....

I agree a Prue spin-off could be cool, but I don't know if Shannen would be exactly interested unless her fans like begged her like they did for her to appear on 90210. But a spin-off that I think would be great would be a Piper spin-off. Maybe a different destiny like Rory's Matriarch. But yeah its from Charmed but hey who said it had to have magic 24/7, im sure a plot could come up but it be like a magical Reba or something haha. So yeah im with Daniel, a Holly spin-off all the way, haha i could fall for a Tv show again. And Es lol I already know you'd probably hate the idea since u hate Post S5 Piper, but hey maybe Brad Kern wouldn't be involved lol. Then I just thought of if Holly, Rose and Alyssa had a sitcom that wasn't Charmed but it was a sitcom where Alyssa could show her funny side like she wanted and they could all be more flexible. they could even still be sisters with just different names or something idk lol but after seeing their twitters they all seem to be very witty and still a bit close so I think it could work.

Who said that Cole had to be in limbo? As for the redemption in "The Seven Year Witch" . . . I thought it was crap, considering that one of Kern's crack monkey writers had Cole admit to trying to get Phoebe pregnant when it was the old Source (in Cole's body) and the Seer that concocted said plot.
I wouldn't have minded a series about Paige . . . without her sisters.

My problem with Piper is that it says no marriage and whatnot. So, without Leo and the boys, what would it be about? That's what I took the thread to mean, which is why I chose Kyra. Although I'd love Piper in her own cooking show with no powers and no family. She'd be *SO* happy! It would be great to see a new Piper with the normal life she wants so much so she would no longer be complaining. Any Piper-show that includes powers I'd want nothing to do with. You know how much I would *love* to see this. Not sure if having both Cole and Drake would go against the thread-topic, but if it was, this would truly be the spin-off I would most want to see--especially if the CRR people could be the executive producers.... I agree a Prue spin-off could be cool, but I don't know if Shannen would be exactly interested unless her fans like begged her like they did for her to appear on 90210. Well, had they succeeded in doing that before the 90210 series and if Kern absolutely wasn't involved, oh, it could've been great fun, especially if both Shannen and Connie Burge were executive producers and if Shannen got to direct--that might have convinced her. You're absolutely right on that. Just like I don't like Rory's "Matriarch", except for the one I mentioned earlier, I doubt if I'd like a Piper spin-off; Brad Kern ruined her character much too much for me and if the new executive producer did what would be necessary to change her back into someone I'd like, I doubt if her other fans would still like her. (It would have to include showing that S5-S8 was an alternate universe that has absolutely nothing to do with the new spin-off which would include Wyatt being Prudence Melinda (who only has witch powers, not whitelighter ones, and is not Twice-Blessed) and Chris never being born and Leo always having his wings and never being an Elder or an avatar or Piper's little errand boy...) I'd love to see a new Holly-starring show, because I do love her as an actress--just not as Piper with powers. Amen. If only Cole had told Piper *that* and actually convinced her so she could convince Phoebe (rather than lying to her), Cole might have truly gotten the redemption that might have let him out of limbo and set up a truly interesting show, especially if by the time he was out, he was thoroughly over Phoebe.

For me, I would have to say Piper. We saw that in the one episode how things would of been if they never met Paige. Piper was very very determined to kill every demon for revenge of Prue's death. She had no one but her self. She was strong, and proved she can make it on her own. Also, she has the freezing power which is the best defense against enemies.
1. It's a easy escape if you need it to be 2. She can also destroy demons with her blowing up power
Unlike Paige (whom I like a lot) can only orb, and Phoebe who does have the karate movements to knock them off the feet. They have to saw a spell to kill demons. Same with Prue.
Piper has the 2 she has, and also can say spells. So, that is why I say Piper would be the best on her own!

I never saw Piper's reaction to Prue's death as her being "strong". She simply struck me as angry and vengeful . . . and I thought these emotions were leading her down the wrong path. So did Phoebe, Leo and Cole. That kind of story for Piper would only go so far, regardless of how many powers she possessed.

I agree. Unless they changed Piper's personality a LOT, she'd be the worst one on her own.

She was clearly stuck on Prue's death and the loss of Phoebe and her old life, and I think the stress and sadness alone would have killed her, never mind the demons.

Perhaps this will put a different spin on the question....If the show ended after the third season, and there was to be a spin off, which of the three sisters would members think could stand alone. This of course would include the dearly departed Prue.
