I ever saw Paige more as a Witch than a Whitelighter because she was more like one. She don´t even wanted young Whitelighters or Witches first. And at the fifth Season she was trying to be Superwitch... But in the end she made a good job on both things. What do you think?

Um, I think her as a Social Worker worked better. So, in that sense, I'd say whitelighter.

For me Paige was not a whitelighter I allways saw her as a witch... She even don´t wanted to be a whitelighter in the beiginning... But she grew in it with the time and really good in it as well!!!

I couldn't vote since it's closed, but I definitely thought that Paige was much more whitelighter than witch--she was hardly witch at all, only when she was part of the Power of Three, which they didn't use that much in the second half since they didn't have to when Piper could explode demons.
Paige's only witch power was influenced by her being a whitelighter and at the end, the Elders turned her into a whitelighter. Even our last view of her is as a whitelighter.
If we *had* to include Paige (I prefer my Charmed Paigeless) I would've preferred if we could've had all three Halliwell sisters with Paige as their whitelighter and Leo as a mortal before he and Piper had any kids, so there wouldn't be such thing as a witchlighter...either Paige *or* the kids. That would've made the best Power of Four, because it would still be the original Power of Three, which was always the best because they truly had the bond as sisters, something Paige could never have with them because she didn't grow up with them.

I always found that she WANTED to be more of a witch than a whitelighter, and always strived to learn more wiccan ways, but her powers themselves were more whitelighter manifested and we never really saw any witch developments in her powers.

I'll agree with that. She definitely *wanted* to be a witch, the way she *wanted* to be a Charmed One...but she wasn't...she was much more a whitelighter. If Prue could ever come back with her power to move things with her mind, it would make much more sense for Paige to give up her witch-power and just be a whitelighter and let the true Charmed Ones go back to being the Charmed Ones--especially if Piper and Phoebe also lost *their* extra powers (Prue, too...I prefer her without the astral projection).

I've always seen Paige as a witch - but she had very strong inclinations to help people, which really made sense (in terms of her being half white lighter, and a social worker). I liked seeing her struggle between the two in the series, and she eventually found a balance between the two (I think anyway).

I don't think so. In Season Eight she was even more whitelighter than witch than she was before. Thanks to the Elders (and Brad Kern), she found her balance by forgetting her witch side and concentrating on her whitelighter side, a horrible mistake on both the Elders' part and Brad Kern's part. She was at her best when she was both--Season Four. In Season Five, she was too witchy. In Season Six and Season Seven, she was...ICK! And Season Eight she was too whitelighterly.

I liked her as both but I feel like she would have been more beneficial to the Charmed ones if she embraced her Whitelighter side more. There were countless situations were her whitelighter side would have been more beneficial to the group than her Witch side.
Her ability to Sense was so under used. Had she focused on a target they would constantly need to scry. Upon a first try at using this power activity she was able to sense Leo location and know he was in trouble. She was also able to sense Evil. How many times did they need to track a sister or innocent? How many times did they need to know if someone was good or evil? Paige's sensing ability could have been extremely beneficial at this moment.
Paige's cloaking ability could have came in handy any time they needed to sneak up on a Demon or hide thier presences.
Her Healing. Glamouring, orbing, etc would have been extremely beneficial powers to have. Also Whitelighters have the ability to cast Spells so when their witches powers were stolen Paige wouldn't be depowered.

I agree with universalcharmed, basically everything he stated above matches my own feelings regarding the Paige's potential contributions using Whitelighter powers (especially since Leo wasn't always an option) versus her witch powers. I also see Paige more as a Whitelighter than a witch because I think it suits her personality and powers better, and I was disappointed when she quite her social worker job to focus more on witchcraft. (Though I don't blame her, considering that her job was probably on the line anyway after disappearing all the time.)
