Episode 1: Speak of the Demon
Prologue
Several years before, Phoebe Halliwell married a man named Cole Turner. Cole became the Source and soon impregnated Phoebe and in doing so they conceived the most powerful demon the world would see. The Seer had a goal in her mind which was to steal Phoebe’s baby. The Seer had a vision in which she saw her own demise by the child’s own power. In her vision she saw herself stealing the child from Phoebe’s womb and in doing so, it killed her. The baby’s power was too great for the Seer and so she would have been destroyed. In seeing this vision, the Seer decides to wait until the baby is born to kidnap the child. Despite the fact that the Seer was not vanquished, the future remained unchanged. Cole was still defeated and the Charmed Ones were reunited. Phoebe resumed her life with demonic baby accidents every now and then. She continued her work as an advice columnist. The day came when Phoebe’s water broke, and the baby was ready to be born. Phoebe gave birth to the child in a regular hospital. She held her child in her arms. The name she chose was not one she had in mind personally but it was one that Cole would have wanted for their son, Damian. The next morning, Phoebe was released however her child was never found. Phoebe went hysterical and soon realized the truth behind the child’s disappearance. The disappearance of the child however did not change the course of events that took place after the Source was vanquished. Piper gave birth to Wyatt, Leo became a mortal, the Charmed Ones still fought against Billie and Christy, and vanquished the Triad. They all managed to live regular lives. Throughout the years however, Phoebe never forgot about the disappearance of Damian and wondered what became of him.
20 Years after the events of the Final Battle.
In the dark depths of the Underworld, a demon throws fireballs at various targets made of earth. One target floated high above in the cave. A second was twenty feet in front of him while a third was directly behind it. A fourth was located at the far end of the cave. And two targets were set on far left side and the far right side of the cave. The demon shot two fireballs to the targets located on left and right side of the cave. He quickly shot the one over head while he threw one fireball which curved around the target in front of him and hit the one directly behind it. He kicked the air and a jet of fire hit the target in front of him. One last target remained; he gazed at it for a while. He held out his hand and clenched the air as if he held an invisible spear. A lance of fire appeared within his grasp. He lunged forward and threw the lance at the target at the far end of the cave. As the lance hit the target, the earth exploded, hurtling clumps of dirt throughout the cave. As he admired his power, a woman awaited him to sense her presence. He realizes she is behind him and says, “Back so soon.”
“Of course. I was only left to inspect the Underworld. For several years, the Underworld has been in chaos. Everyone killing each other, and now, they have given up,” the Seer said.
Damian turned his face half ways and looked at the Seer with the corner of his eye. “What are you saying mother?” Damian asked.
“I’m saying that the demons are weak. They will give in to you, to your power. Throughout your life, I’ve told you of your strength. Within you is the power to destroy everything in this world. We have remained in this lair for years so that you may grow to your full potential. I have been raising you, teaching you. You have become more powerful than what I could ever imagined,” the Seer continued as she drew closer to Damian. She touched Damian in the shoulder, signaling for him to face her.
The Seer resumed, “It is time for you to take over. To guide evil to victory and destroy all that is good so that…”
“I may destroy all good. I know. You’ve told me this before. I know what I must do. All I need to know is, if it’s time?” Damian asked.
The Seer nodded her head slowly. “You must end this everlasting battle between good and evil. However, there is a threat.”
Damian gave the Seer a look of puzzlement. “No one is a threat to me.”
“I trust that you can defeat, but even then he will still make it challenging for you. You must find him and eliminate him along with his kin.”
“Who are you talking about?” Damian asked.
“His name is Wyatt Halliwell.”
Setting The Halliwell manor
Chris enters the kitchen and sees his mother mincing squash. As he approaches he says, “Hey mom.”
Piper smiles, while mincing the squash she replies, “Hi honey. I need you to do the laundry today, okay.”
“Why can’t Wyatt do it?” Chris asks.
“Because, he is my special boy and he is busy.”
“What about me?”
“Don’t worry Chris, I care about you, which is why you’re doing his laundry. Oh, and afterwards you can clean his room.” Piper finished with a smile on her face. She resumed cutting the squash. As Chris was starting to turn away he halted at mid-turn. He looked down at the squash with a sneer on his face. He waved his hand upwards, in that instant the squash flew up from Piper’s grasp and hit her on the nose.
“Ah, you jerk!” Piper said, however her voice changed into a man-like voice.
While laughing Chris said, “Do your own laundry.” As Piper held her nose and Chris laughed, coming through the back door came in Piper into the kitchen.
“What’s going on in here? And what the…” Piper said as she looked into a mirror image of herself.
“Sorry mom, I couldn’t help it.” All of a sudden as Piper looked at her own double, she changed into Wyatt Halliwell. Wyatt began to laugh while he held his nose.
“Wyatt, stop glamouring, you’ll scare the heck out of me one day. I know we are all growing old, but I don’t want to see any doubles until I really do have a bad vision,” Piper said.
Wyatt looked at the fallen squash and orbed it into the trash.
“Mom where’s dad?” Chris asked.
Piper answered, “He left early to magic school. Today he is conducting a final for the upper division students. Oh, your aunt’s might come today I don’t know about your Aunt Phoebe, her and Coop love to go out a lot. They’re probably somewhere in the Caribbean, hopefully they come back tonight. Then again Paige has her charges, and Henry, well he’s a cop. They’re all so busy.” As Piper finished she began looking at the ceiling as if her answers were written above her. She kept pondering until Chris finally said, “Well, I have to go to school soon. The professor is a real hard@$$.” Wyatt started laughing at this statement.
Wyatt replied, “You know, just because you are my brother is does not guarantee you an automatic A for the course. “
“Well it’s not like you’re a real professor,” Chris said.
“In two years I will be, I’m not always going to be a student teacher. Soon I will have a full pay and you will refer to me as Doctor Wyatt Halliwell,” Wyatt replied to Chris’s remark.
“It won’t matter because by the time you get your PhD I won’t be there.”
“And I you won’t be in my class today if I get there before you. Alright mom gotta go.” Wyatt said.
“Bye mom,” Chris followed.
“Bye, take care. I love you.” At that, Chris and Wyatt orbed away.
Setting: San Francisco State University
Chris and Wyatt appeared in the janitorial closet of the university. They stumbled in the dark not knowing where the door knob was located.
“Hey watch your feet,” Chris said.
“Sorry. I can’t see a thing. Hold on,” Wyatt released some orbs which produced enough light for them to find the door knob. They exited without care as if they both were exiting a faculty’s office.
“Everyone should be there by now,” Wyatt said. They followed the hall straight ahead unto a room in which a large number of students were present awaiting the professor’s arrival.
Coming from around the corner, Damian appears. He stalks Wyatt and Chris, watching where they were heading. He sees them turn and enter a room. Damian looks inside and gazes at the students. He sees one individual and he waves his hand. The young male gets up from his sit, leaves his stuff at his desk and exits the room. Wyatt turns around and sees him exit. Damian moves aside away from the student and soon follows him. The young man rushes into a bathroom and enters stall. No sooner does Damian hear how the young male begins throwing up.
“Feeling sick are we?” Damian says. “Let me help you with that.” Damian places his hand over the man’s back which causes him to faint on the spot. Damian’s appearance imitates that of the young man that had fainted. “Feel better now?” Damian says under a different voice. Damian waves his hand once more and young man disappears. Damian removed him from existence.
He walks out of the restroom and heads for class. He enters the room where Professor Halliwell has already started the lecture. He acts casual and walks towards his seat. He peruses through the young man’s belongings. He finds a notebook and looks inside it. He searches for information and discovers that the young man was named Trevor Benson.
“That’s all I need to know,” Damian looks up and sees pictures of magical creatures. He couldn’t believe that a witch was actually showing the human race pictures of magical beings. Doesn’t that defy the pact of secrecy made between good and evil? Damian began to think, Of all beings, I thought witches followed this pact more than demons. No matter, I intend on ruining this pact. Damian soon discovered that Professor Halliwell was not exposing magic but demonstrating the myths that mankind has made through fairytales and legends. He could not help but chuckle. Now Wyatt, let’s see who you are. At this thought Damian began to invade the mind and memories of Wyatt.
As Wyatt talked about his lecture he began feeling weak and dizzy. His head began to spin so he stood in place. The entire class noticed that Wyatt stopped talking and he held on to his desk. Chris began to worry at Wyatt’s actions.
Wyatt could not explain why he would feel so awful all of a sudden. Damian sitting down as Trevor was searching through Wyatt’s mind for information about Wyatt’s abilities however he was stopped abruptly. He felt a sharp pain hit his mind. Suddenly, Damian could not make contact with Wyatt’s mind any longer. Unknowingly, Wyatt had pushed Damian from his mind. Wyatt was still unaware of the events.
Sitting down on his chair, Damian began rubbing his forehead. He felt a jolt of panic, Does Wyatt know of my presence? He looked at Wyatt for a sign of caution. Wyatt gave none.
Wyatt said, “I’m fine. Just a slight headache. Where was I?”
Damian was amused. He must’ve defended himself subconsciously. At least I know some extent of his abilities. Wyatt Halliwell, you are in for a big surprise.
An hour had passed and the session has ended. Damian awaited patiently for his time. The class was dismissed and the students began to leave. Chris approached Wyatt with concern.
“Wyatt, you okay?” Chris asked.
“Of course, I’m fine.” Wyatt replies.
“You didn’t look so good. Are you sure?” Chris continued.
“I’m fine brother. Don’t worry, days like these happen. I am human. Go on you have a class to attend to right?” Wyatt said.
“Yea. Let me know if you start feeling anything,” Chris said before he turned and left. Wyatt nodded and watched his brother leave. When he looked in front of him, there he saw Trevor waiting for attention.
“Hey, what’s up? Need help?” Wyatt asked.
“Professor Halliwell, you’ve inspired me to change my major. I am majoring in business but that’s because of my parents. I know you majored in the history of legends and myths and I am interested in something out of the ordinary too,” Trevor said. “I’m wondering if you could help me gain my parents approval if I change my major.”
“I would love to help. What is it that you want to study for?” Wyatt asked.
“Something different. Something that most people wouldn’t study. I don’t know yet. Could you help me right now?” Trevor asked.
“I suppose I could. How are we going to get there?” Wyatt wondered.
“Walking, it’s not that far from here,” Trevor said.
“Okay, show me the way,” Wyatt gestured Trevor to move on ahead of him. Trevor guided him outside of the building and soon away from campus. They walked down the street for more than fifteen minutes. Trevor finally made a turn down a corner and went inside an apartment complex. Wyatt looked up at the building and noticed that it looked poor and old. Wyatt did not see Trevor pull out any keys, he simply opened the door to enter the building. Trevor opened another door and told Wyatt to enter first. What Wyatt saw inside the apartment were a couch, a dining table, a coffee table, and a television all in one room. The kitchen was separated from all this by a small wall with a window which could be used to look unto the room.
Before Wyatt could ask where Trevor’s parents were, Trevor grabbed a hold of Wyatt and flames engulfed both Wyatt and Trevor.
Setting: Warehouse
These flames were unlike anything Wyatt has ever sensed. As flames engulfed Wyatt and Damian, Wyatt felt immense heat throughout his entire body as if he were inside an oven. He felt his stomach sank and felt his head pressing down against his neck. Unlike orbing, which felt as if an individual were being lifted from the ground guided to their destination, apparition seemed to be the opposite. It was a horrific sensation which seemed to last an eternity. Relief overwhelmed Wyatt as the heat vanished and the weight on his body was removed.
Trevor and Wyatt arrived at what seemed like a warehouse. Wide open areas with catwalks throughout the entire building. Shelves and enormous metallic storage boxes were located throughout the warehouse. Wyatt and Trevor were in one corner of the warehouse with a wide empty area. As Trevor and Wyatt appeared, Wyatt was released from Trevor’s clutches. Wyatt quickly turned around and magically lifted Trevor in the air. Wyatt kept him in place with his limbs stiff leaving incapable of retaliating.
“What are you?” Wyatt demanded.
Trevor laughed. He replied by saying, “I am what you are to me. Your greatest threat.” Wyatt felt his hold against Trevor weaken and soon it disappeared. Trevor landed on his feet.
“Let me introduce myself,” Trevor said. He placed his right hand on his stomach and bowed to Wyatt. As he did so, his figure began to change revealing his true form. Damian wore a black coat which covered his entire body. His hair was dark and short, which didn’t go past his ears. His face resembled much that of his father. His eyes, however were that of his mother. His eyes were capable of deceiving a person by making them believe he was good. Hanging down his neck, Damian wore a black pendant held by a metallic hand with sharp claws.
“I am Damian Turner.”
“I don’t care what your name is? What are you?” Wyatt asked, nearly shouting.
“You should care who I am. It actually means is very important. Don’t you recognize me? We’ve never met before, but I should remind you of someone,” Damian said as he began pacing back and forth while looking at the floor. “I want you to look into my eyes. Who do I remind you of?”
Damian raised his gaze to meet Wyatt’s eyes. Wyatt immediately thought of his Aunt Phoebe, however he pushed this thought out of his mind and began searching for a new answer. Damian attempted to read his thoughts and succeeding in seeing an image of his mother. As Damian entered Wyatt’s mind, Wyatt felt his head spin once more.
“You’re right you know. The answer is Phoebe,” Damian said.
Wyatt finally understood that Damian was capable of invading a person’s thoughts. “What does she have to do with this?” Wyatt asked.
“She has everything to do with it. Wyatt Halliwell,” Damian stood still and looked Wyatt in the eyes, “You are not the only powerful being on this Earth. If so you would destroy the balance.”
“I thought good has had the upper hand,” Wyatt said confused.
“Actually it never did, as the Halliwells defeated the Source, the Triad, and survived their battles against the ultimate power, true evil remained hidden. You see Wyatt, as one child of good grew strong so did a child of evil. Both of us are legends and our battles shall be the most legendary, even more than those of your lineage or should I say our lineage.” Damian finished.
Wyatt asked, “Who are you?”
“That I will leave it to Phoebe to answer.” Damian looked down at his hand and looked up at Wyatt. Instantly he shot his hand straight forward and three simultaneous fireballs were thrown at Wyatt.
Wyatt dodged the fireballs by orbing. He appeared behind Damian and telekinetically pushed him. He managed to send Damian flying forward however Damian stuck both his arms and feet in front of him. As he did so, fire spewed from both his hand and feet which manage to break his fall. He landed on his feet. Damian threw his hand back and threw a fireball which Wyatt sent back. Damian caught it with his hands and crushed the fireball making it disappear.
Wyatt thrust his hands forward and a blast of heat approached Damian. He defended by lifting his hand above his head which produce a wall of fire. Wyatt’s blast could not penetrate Damian’s wall of fire, which caused Wyatt to cease his attack. Damian lowered his hand to his chest and raised his second hand at chest level. He flung his arms open and the wall of fire turned into a horizontal inferno that traveled at a high velocity towards Wyatt. Wyatt did not have time to orb away. He placed a hand in front of the inferno and attempted to push it away. Wyatt managed to keep the fire from scorching his body. The fire did not stop in place but move around Wyatt as if to avoid him. Even though Wyatt was pushing the fire away from him, the heat surrounding him was wearing him down. The intensity of the fire managed to burn pieces of his shirt without touching Wyatt. Besides the heat, the fire was constantly pushing against Wyatt’s telekinesis making it difficult for him to continuously push the fire away. His shirt started producing smoke which passed near his eyes making it challenging for him to go on. On the other side, Damian laughed as he continued with his ongoing inferno towards Wyatt.
“Don’t give up now Wyatt,” Damian said. Wyatt felt the push of the inferno weaken. All of a sudden Damian appeared behind him. Wyatt did not understand where the fire kept coming from. Was there someone else producing the fire for Damian?
“Surprised cousin?” At that statement, the fire ceased and Wyatt saw at the origin of the flames a second Damian. Thinking this was ludicrous, he turned around and confirmed that Damian had the ability to clone himself. Damian made a motion with his hand which caused Wyatt to place his limbs close against his body.
“You will find out soon enough who I really am,” Damian gazed into Wyatt’s eyes. Flames appeared next to Damian in which the second Damian appeared. He walked right into the Damian which cast the spell. They merged together and only one Damian existed once again. Wyatt felt the power in Damian’s clutch increase.
“Don’t be scared Wyatt, I won’t kill you. Not yet anyways,” Damian said. Flames engulfed Damian and he disappeared. Wyatt felt a sense of relief for he was free again. Wyatt orbed back to the Halliwell manor desperate for answers.
Setting: Damian’s Domain
“You’re back,” the Seer said.
“That was fun. He’s strong, he just doesn’t know exactly how strong,” Damian said.
“You didn’t kill him?” the Seer said with a tone of anger. Damian shook his head.
“How could you not? You will only make this difficult on yourself,” the Seer stated.
“You said I am the strongest demon alive. If he is so my match, let him fight me with all his might. If I defeat him now, then I shall be bored for all eternity. My powers are great, they’re useless if I never use them. I want to have fun,” Damian retorted.
“You should have killed him, despite your selfish thoughts. He will have allies at his side to defeat you. You need to obtain the underworld by your side. Wage the ultimate war against good. You must do it before he kills you,” the Seer responded.
Damian stared at the Seer in the eyes and then looked away. As he looked upwards he said, “Then it’s time for me to take my place as the ruler of this damnation,” Damian looked at the Seer with fury in his eyes. “Let us meet with as many demons as possible.”
“I shall unite as many as I can,” the Seer said before leaving.
Alone in his domain, Damian began to ponder on ideas. He began to smile as one came in mind, “Wyatt, I will make sure you can’t rely on anyone.”
Setting: Halliwell Manor
“Mom! Where are you? I need your help?” Wyatt shouted as he appeared in the living room.
“What’s wrong Wyatt? What happened to you? LEO!” Piper asked. Leo’s footsteps were heard coming from upstairs.
“Dad’s here?” Wyatt said.
“He only left for the finals,” Piper replied.
“What’s…” Leo stopped once he saw Wyatt’s appearance. Wyatt had ash on his face due to his burnt shirt, which had scorch marks in different areas. Leo asked, “Are you okay? What happened?”
“A demon attacked me, but he wasn’t going to kill me. He was only playing.” Wyatt said.
“Sense when do you play with demons. This isn’t a game,” Piper said angrily.
Wyatt responded with, “Not a real game. It was like he was trying to show me his strength. And he actually is very powerful. He could have killed me if he wanted to but he didn’t. He wants me to know who he is first.”
“Why would he do that?” Leo asked. Piper began to leave for a wet towel to clean Wyatt.
“Because he said Aunt Phoebe knows everything about him,” at that remark, Piper stopped and turned to face Wyatt.
“Phoebe? What does Phoebe know?” Piper asked. She began approaching Wyatt waiting for his response.
“I don’t know…” Wyatt remembered what he had heard Damian said and decided to tell them. “He called me cousin.”
“Cousin? Why is that…” Leo began questioning but a flashback removed all questions. “Honey, we need to call Phoebe.”
“Oh my god. Coop! Coop we need Phoebe,” Piper shouted at the ceiling. Next to them, an image of a pink heart appeared and soon a man who was being held by a woman, Phoebe.
“You needed me? What happened to you?” Phoebe asked Wyatt.
Before Wyatt could answer Piper interrupted, “Never mind that. Paige needs to be here too. Paige! It’s an emergency,” Piper shouted once more and orbs came into the living room. The orbs disappeared revealing Paige.
“What’s the emergency? Oh my god, are you okay?” Paige asked. Wyatt nodded.
“I’m fine but I need answers,” Wyatt added.
“Answers for what?” Paige asked.
“Well before we get to that. Phoebe I think you need to sit down,” Piper said to Phoebe.
“What? What’s going on?” Phoebe asked. Piper did not answer but motioned for her to sit down. Phoebe sat down and Coop sat by her side.
Piper gestured to Wyatt hinting that he should tell the story to his Aunt Phoebe. “I don’t know what’s going on, but I got attacked by a demon. The thing is that he was so powerful. He was able to clone himself and the clone still had all his powers. He said that you had everything to do with him. He also called me ‘cousin,’” Wyatt finished.
Phoebe placed her hands over her mouth and remained silent. She could not believe what had happened. Her son has risen from hiding. Tears began falling down Phoebe’s eyes as she remembered that tormenting day. Her child was lost to evil and influenced by it for 20 years. Coop held Phoebe tight as she grieved for her lost son.
Through her cries she said, “This shouldn’t be happening. He should be here with me. That bitch, took him!”
Wyatt began to understand but he did not want to make any assumptions. Wyatt asked, “Is Damian your son?”
"I'm sorry, but I can't be here right now," Phoebe gets from the couch and walks up the stairs. As everyone watches her leave, Coop walks behind her.
"I'm sorry I made her cry," Wyatt apoligizes.
"Don't be honey. It's just a tough thing. We need to give her some time," Piper says.
"I think we need to talk to the elders," Leo suggests.
"How are we going to do that? You're a mortal now," Piper asks.
"I know but it doesn't mean we can't talk to them. We can either call one of them down here, they must know what has happened. It's important so they will talk to us," Leo says.
"And what if they don't come down?" Paige asks.
Leo answers, "They will, trust me. But we need Phoebe here if when we want to talk to them. She needs to tell them what she knows no matter how small."
"I'll go," Paige volunteered but as she prepared to leave, Wyatt stopped her.
"I think I should go. I was the one who came across him. Maybe she wants to know how he is like now all grown up. Or at least how he looks like," Wyatt said. Paige shrugged and allowed Wyatt to continue.
As Wyatt approached Piper’s room he heard the sobs become clear. He opened the door and saw Coop holding on the Phoebe.
“…it’s not your fault. You have to understand that. You didn’t raise him and the opportunity was taken from you. Mother’s cannot imagine their son or daughter growing up to be a killer. You are not to blame for the evil that has influenced your son. You are a wonderful mother. Look at our children honey. Do you see any mistakes that have been made?” Coop says.
Phoebe looks up at him and then at Wyatt. Coop turns around and smiles at Wyatt.
“I’m sorry, would you like me to leave?” Wyatt asks.
Phoebe shakes her head. She gestures Wyatt to take a seat. “Coop, honey, could you excuse us?” Coop agrees.
Once Coop closed the door Phoebe faces Wyatt. “You need to know what happened to Damian. Yes, he is my son, but he was taken from me since birth. He was the child I bared through Cole, he was my ex husband. He was a demon for over a century, but he had a human side. Once he met me, he made a choice to leave it all behind. One day he gained powers of the Source and became evil again. We had a child and I stayed by his side, becoming his Queen,” Wyatt’s eyes opened wide and attempted to say something.
Phoebe raised her hand, signifying she was not done. “The baby’s powers grew stronger and Cole became more evil. Soon only evil existed inside Cole. He tried killing my sisters but I didn’t allow it. So I killed him. I loved him so much. Even though I lost him, I thought about the baby of his I was going to have. I swore I would never let him turn evil like his father. You see how that worked.” Phoebe paused for a moment. Wyatt only waited for Phoebe to continue, not daring to say a word.
“The pregnancy I had with Damian was tough. Other than receiving threats by the Seer, his powers were taking over my body. He would have killed me if I didn’t bind his powers. So for the remaining eight months of the pregnancy, I remained powerless and so did the baby. I agreed to give birth here at the house to protect the baby from evil and prevent any accidents that would expose magic. Everything didn’t work out the way we thought. I was working when my water broke, so Elise sent me to a hospital. I couldn’t do anything about it so I gave birth in a normal hospital. The next day Damian never came back into my arms,” Phoebe stopped for a second. Her emotions did not allow her to continue. Talking softly she continued, “We believe the Seer took him but he had no powers. I was afraid she would kill him since he is no use to her. We tried to find him, but…”
“Aunt Phoebe, you don’t need to go on,” Wyatt said.
“I do. It helps me cope with it. But I don’t understand why he has powers. I thought I bound his powers when he was inside me. He shouldn’t have powers,” Phoebe stated.
“Maybe we need to discuss this with everyone,” Wyatt said.
Wyatt and Phoebe walked down together into the living where everyone was awaiting for their presence. Waiting along with everyone stood an elder with his back towards Phoebe and Wyatt.
As Wyatt and Phoebe approached the living room, the elder turned around and said, "Hi, Phoebe. Remember me?" the elder said.
“Oh my God! Kevin!” Phoebe ran up to Kevin and held the young thirteen year old elder. “You haven’t aged a bit,” Phoebe told Kevin.
Kevin laughed at Phoebe’s remark and replied by saying, “Well I am an elder so I won’t age anymore. It’s kind of fun looking younger than the rest and being as wise as they are. Of course sometimes my opinion much more different than theirs. Which is why elders are of all ages, that way old people don’t get their way. Having young elders reminds them of how they felt when they were my age. Which was probably centuries ago.”
The sight of Kevin had cheered Phoebe up. It was strange seeing a young boy that once drew pictures and even turned them into super heroes, dressed as an elder. He was not there for pleasure but strictly for business.
“Are you here because of Damian?” Phoebe asked.
“Yes I am. I volunteered to come down because I thought it would be best to talk about this with someone familiar,” Elder Kevin said. His voice was still that of a teenager. He had no facial hair and his hair still fell up to his ears.
“What do you know of my son?” Phoebe asked.
The elder looked down at Phoebe as she took a seat on the couch, “Not much. When he disappeared, he practically disappeared completely from this Earth. We can only say he possesses a great threat to good. I’m sorry you have to hear this but you must do what you can to stop him.”
Phoebe felt anger towards this comment. She did not hate Kevin, she only felt protective of her oldest son. Despite her anger she manages to pursue her inquiry. “Why does Damian have powers? I bound his powers while I was still pregnant.”
Kevin replied after a few seconds, “Frankly, I don‘t know.”
Setting: The Underworld
In a vast earthy area, hundreds of demons gathered. A cacophony a voices rang throughout the expanse. The Seer appeared at the front of the crowd.
“Silence, all of you!” All the demons fell silent and their gaze were fixed on the Seer. Expressions of amazement swept the faces of most demons. Those who weren’t surprised knew of her existence since they assisted her in gathering of the audience.
“Yes, I am alive. The Charmed Ones have not killed me along with the Source, although they wish they had. I know the history that has taken since my disappearance and Source’s. Ever since the Source was defeated, the demonic world has gone in a revolt. Unwilling to accept your new Source and even believing treachery was up foot. Yes, one demon deceived another and soon your own ambitions left you all to your doom. You do not have a Source because all your bickering and ambitions has brought down the defeat of our council. In the shadows of our struggle, the Charmed Ones took the Grimoir. Now we shall be without a Source forever. Even though we don’t have a Source we may still have a ruler. I am here to present to you all, your new ruler,” the crowd began to murmur at the Seer’s statement. Next to the Seer Damian appeared in flames.
Damian looked at the crowd and an uproar started. Damian heard various statements such as:
“Who do you think you are?”
“You’re not my ruler!”
“Curse you! I’ll never serve you, I rather die!”
Damian raised his hands. Soon the floor beneath the demons feet began turn red. Damian was heating the floor as if they were on top of a stove. Only a small patch beneath the Seer and Damian was unaffected by Damian’s magic. Some demons began jumping up and down, others climbed the walls, some flew, and other even jumped high enough to grab a hold of the ceiling.
As soon as it began, it stopped. The demons were confused and they all looked at Damian. He panned the entire room and began to speak, “I am the strongest demon there was, is, and ever will be. As the heir of the Source my right to rule is undeniable. There will be no ritual to crown me the source. It does not matter anyhow since in my blood is the power of the Source and a Charmed One as well.”
The demons were shocked to hear that he was half-witch. Before an uproar began Damian silenced them all. “I have no good in me. Do not doubt my power and my intentions. I am being honest so that you may understand what powers flows in my veins. I am unstoppable. And if you don’t bow down for me then I shall bend your spines until you do. I challenge every last one of you who denies me my right to rule. This challenge is not one on one, but as many as there that defy me against me. Now, bow down to your ruler.”
The majority of the demons bowed immediately. Only a few refused to do so. Damian began using magic in order to force them bow to him. After awhile he released his magic and only seven continued to refuse to bow down. Damian stared at those seven. Two bounty hunters who worked as a team, four were upper level demons, and one was werewolf.
“Very well, follow me,” Damian said a moment before disappearing. The seven demons and the Seer followed Damian. The majority of the crowd shimmered or blinked after Damian and the challengers.
Damian guided the demons into an underground arena. Damian was at the center of the arena. A massive coliseum located beneath the earth. Seats ran across the entire area so that an audience may watch the battles that may take place. The seats and walls were made of ebony. Unlike the walls and seats, the floor was of earth. Ancient runes were etched all over the walls of the arena. The runes marked the battles that have taken place in the coliseum and the victor’s name followed the number.
Demons began to appear throughout the coliseum and the seven whom defied him appear near him. Damian waited patiently until the demons would stop appearing before speaking.
“You guided us to the coliseum?” one demon said.
“What are you afraid of Hell? If so, this is the price you shall pay for your defiance, not just death. You will never come back. No matter who tries to summon you. If you don’t like the idea of an eternity of Hell than bow down,” Damian replied. The demon who spoke kneeled down, but the others remained standing.
“Begone,” Damian said to the demon. The demon stood up and walked away towards the spectators. Demons were seated throughout the arena, waiting to see their new ruler’s power.
“I have desired to be Source for many years. Now we may never have one with the disappearance of the Grimmoir and I am not going to let you govern me,” a defiant said.
Damian retorted, “I am not the Source, I am your lord and soon to be the lord of the…”
“You have nothing to offer. I don’t do any work for anyone without a price,” the bounty hunter said.
“You know, I’ve had it with all of your excuses,” Damian shot a fireball at the bounty hunter, obliterating him.
“Ahh!” his partner yelled and shot a bolt of lightning at Damian. It struck Damian in the center of the chest which knocked him down. Lying on the floor, Damian’s body was engulfed with fire. Only a scorch mark remained in his place.
“Hahaha. I knew it, he was only a stupid demon,” the bounty hunter said.
The demon’s laughter stopped abruptly. His face turned red and he began shrieking in pain. Flames began to cover his body. The rest of demons watched in wonder, unable to comprehend what was happening to the bounty hunter. The bounty hunter exploded and Damian stood in his place. Damian was covered in flames which did not extinguish. Still in flames Damian looked at the other demons.
Only three demons and a werewolf remained. The demons are known as Dalgon, Ceunon, and Surda. Dalgon was a tall slender demon with one diagonal scar across his face. Ceunon’s attire consisted of mostly metal. He had an appearance of a fierce demon that did not waste time in accomplishing his objective. Surda was notorious for his cunning schemes and using deception to gain new powers abilities. The werewolf had the appearance of a human with several deformities. His back had a slight hunch, and his body and facial structure were skeletal. The werewolf was once a demon who was bitten by a werewolf. The demon used black magic to suppress the werewolves effects, which allowed him to gain control of himself and its powers.
The werewolf began to show his fangs, and his sharp nails grew long. The werewolf leaped at Damian despite the fact that flames covered Damian. Damian caught the werewolf’s hand and he threw him away, however the werewolf landed on his feet and stuck one hand on the earth. He pushed his hand downwards with all his might leaped once more this time succeeding in grabbing Damian. The flames burned the werewolf’s skin, but this did not stop him. Despite his skeletal figure, the werewolf had bulging muscles with the strength of lifting a car. He wrapped his arms around Damian’s neck and attempted to choke him. The flames began to burn ferociously causing the werewolf to scream.
The three remaining demons only watched the struggle of the two. Ceunon decided to throw his fireball at Damian. The fireball apparently only fed the fire causing the werewolf to release Damian. As the flames disappeared, Dalgon blinked appeared high in the air. He attempted to stomp on Damian from above, but with no success. Reacting quickly Damian grabbed his legs and swung at the werewolf. As Ceunon charged at Damian, Ceunon kneeled and touched the earth which began to cover his body, soon enough Ceunon became dirt as well and disappeared. Ceunon grabbed a piece of his metal and charged it with a thunderball. He threw the electric scrap of metal, which hit Damian on the arm. Ceunon did continued charging towards Damian who stood in place as if unaware of the cut and Ceunon. The dirt beneath Damian took the shape of Ceunon’s hands and grabbed Damian’s feet to ensure he would not move. With all his might Ceunon threw his fist at Damian’s chest. His fist stopped an inch in front of Damian’s chest, Ceunon had struck a telekinetic shield, dislocating his knuckles. Ceunon felt a surge of pain run across his hand, as he yelped in pain Dalgon and the werewolf stood up. Damian aimed his hand downwards and shot fire at Surda’s hands. As the hands sunk back into the earth, Dalgon shot a thunderbolt at same time as Damian shot his fireball at him. An explosion erupted from the collision. The werewolf jumped through the flames and managed to tackle Damian down. As they rolled on the floor Surda’s limbs appeared and held Damian tight. The werewolf had his claws on Damian’s neck and stomach. Dalgon approached Damian and grabbed his arms while the werewolf held his throat and together they pulled him up.
Surda appeared from the earth and as he grabbed Damian’s other arm, earth fell from his body as if it were water. Damian did not show any sign of resistance as the three held him in place. The three demons gazed at Ceunon as he began to approach Damian. Ceunon tore a strip of metal from his belt and bent it so that it would have the capability of piercing Damian’s body. He began to charge the scrap of metal with thunder, before he could send the metal flying towards Damian his muscled tensed. Ceunon’s eyes widened and soon he stopped. He stood straight and looked at Damian. He shot threw the electrified metal at Surda, which went right through him. Surda fell and burst into flames before reaching the floor. Before the other could react, Damian grabbed the werewolves hands and threw him over his head with his free hand. Dalgon shot a thunderbolt seconds after where Damian’s head had been. Damian split into two and both Damians lifted dalgon into the air. A third Damian appeared from the original figure and pushed Ceunon and the werewolf far away. The second clone kept Dalgon in midair immobilized while the original Damian kept pushing Dalgon’s body to the left while the first pushed Dalgon’s body to the right. The demon’s body was suffering immense amounts of pressure. The werewolf recovered quickly and began to sprint on all fours towards Damian. Damian persisted with his attack on Dalgon despite the lack of distance between him and the werewolf in such short time. The force was tearing Dalgon apart until it could not stay together anymore. As Dalgon fell apart, embers and ashes fell onto the floor.
The second clone faced the werewolf and threw a fireball directly at him. The werewolf accomplished to deflect the fireball by throwing it away. The first clone lifted him off his feet and all Damians regrouped into one. The werewolf felt his muscles were clenched to his body.
“You are unique and most powerful werewolf. I didn’t know demons were werewolves. What’s your name?” Damian asked with his arm held high keeping the werewolf afloat.
“You don’t deserve to know,” the werewolf spat at Damian.
“As your leader I have all the right,” Damian replied. Ceunon yelled in anger and threw a thunderball at Damian. He countered by sending it back to him which vanquished him. Damian held his second hand aiming at Ceunon. He did not disappear, but continued to perish in flames. His cries of pain were loud and the werewolf watched in amazement at Damian’s capabilities.
“Tell me what I want to hear,” Damian demanded.
“Dauth,” the werewolf said. “I am your servant.” Damian lowered both his hands and Ceunon disappeared in an explosion. Dauth fell from above, landing on his feet. He quickly kneeled down at Damian and lowered his gaze.
“Your abilities are endless. I see now that you are rightfully our superior,” Dauth said in a rumble.
Damian looked at all the demons in the coliseum. He began, “The time has come where I will end the war among good and evil. I shall bring chaos into the world and forsake all souls in the world. We will not let rules or pacts hold us back from our goal. But before we may accomplish this, we need to destroy our greatest threat. The ones that have intervened time and time again with evil’s plot. We must destroy the Charmed Ones,” this statement brought feelings of distaste among all the demons. Damian finished, “but I will need some assistance.”
Setting: The Halliwell Manor
Phoebe sat on the couch, crouched forward resting her forehead on her right hand. She was confused at the event that had taken place not long ago. She wondered how unfair the world has been to her. By nature her life was tough and changed with the help of the elders. They gave her Coop, the being of love, to compensate of all her misfortune. Must her life be filled with tragedies? Now her son is fighting against her nephew to kill him. What will come of this? Can he be turned to the good side? He can’t, Cole tried and failed, no matter how hard he tried, evil was a temptation he could not resist.
Coop and Phoebe’s sisters sat in the couch to comfort her. Coop held Phoebe’s left hand and Paige, sitting on Phoebe’s right side, rubbed Phoebe’s back. Piper sat next to Paige while Leo sat on the arm rest next to Piper. Elder Kevin was motionless, no one spoke, and silence roamed the room until Wyatt’s footsteps were heard coming down the stairs. He descended quickly rushing to the living room. His hair was wet since he had taken a shower and changed into a new set of clothes.
“Is everyone safe now?” Wyatt asked.
Everyone but Phoebe turned to look at Wyatt. Piper answered, “Yeah, Paige orbed everyone into magic school. Of course your cousins and sister want to help but they can’t help.” Piper paused for a second before continuing. “We can’t communicate with your brother right now. He hasn’t gone anywhere on his own and he is in class. So far there are people coming in and out of every part of the school. Paige can’t warn him at all. I’m worried that something might happen to him.”
“Then, I will find him,” Wyatt said before heading towards the door. Wyatt grabbed the keys from the desk near the door. As Wyatt opened the door he said, “I’ll call if need help. Be aware.”
“Wyatt!” Piper shouted. She stood up and ran outside after Wyatt. Wyatt was at the car and stopped as he saw his actions once he saw his mother approaching him.
“Mom, you’re not coming. It’s dangerous,” Wyatt told his Piper
“Yes I am. Besides you’re not the boss of me. Now give me the keys,” Piper said as she brought her hand out and waited for Wyatt to hand her the keys. Wyatt understood that his mother’s decision would not change so therefore he gave in to his mother’s demand.
Wyatt and Piper boarded the car and left the manor.
Setting: San Francisco State University
Class had ended ten minutes before the hour and Chris exits his classroom. He shrugs his backpack higher up his back and adjusts his arms in the straps. As he exits the building, he squints his eyes in order to see outside due to the change of lighting.
Chris stood outside the building and panned the campus. He saw a young female student walking by and approached her.
“Hey! How are you?” the girl said.
“I’m good,” Chris replied. “Where’s Bianca? She’s normally with you.”
“Oh she’s coming. She was talking to the professor,” the female student answered. Chris nodded in understanding and walked away. He continued walking down south until a young woman approached him with open arms. Chris accepted her into his arms and gave her a kiss in the lips.
“Hi babe,” Bianca said.
“Hey. What took you?” Chris asked.
“Oh nothing. I just needed to talk to the professor about my work. So, how was it?” Bianca said. Chris turns around and begins walking north alongside Bianca. She held out her hand for Chris, which he accepted into his.
“I think I did pretty good. There are only twelve problems on the test, but they take so long to complete,” Chris replied.
They continued walking down the path which lead to a convenient store in the university. Chris looked up when he saw a spec on top of a building. He noticed a silhouette of a man on top of one of the school’s building. He took a glance and continued walking; he assumed the man was of maintenance.
Dauth stood at the top of the building looking down at the hundreds of students and faculty walking from one place to another. He had a long coat which covered him from head to toe. The coat had a long scarf attached in which he utilized to cover his head and most of his face, only leaving his dark eyes exposed. He could smell witches in the area. Magic had its own unique and invisible scent. Unlike regular demons he could not sense the shimmer of a demon but smell them. He does not detect shimmers but the magic within the being.
At the scent of his prey his eyes began to turn yellow. He could smell magic but he was too far to detect who was magical. He looked among all the people and wondered who it may be. He turned around and walked to the other side of the roof. He looked down and only saw grass and bushes. He did not see anyone outside roaming around the area behind the building. He leaped from the five story building and landed with a hard thud on his feet. His knees did not buckle as if he had jumped from a platform two feet in height. Dauth did not care if those within the building noticed his descent. If they were to see him fall, they would be unable to tell if it were a person. Nor could they check by looking outside the window since the window was incapable of opening.
Dauth turned around and looked behind him. He looked inside the window and saw that it was part of an office. No one was inside, therefore there was no one he had to kill. Now that he was closer to the magical being, the scent became stronger. He followed the scent and stopped at the edge of the building. He was unable to approach his prey without attracting attention to himself in a public area.
Every second the scent became stronger. Any moment he would be able to find his prey.
“Excuse me,” A woman said to Dauth.
Dauth turned around and noticed a door was slowly closing. His eyes went to the door and then the woman. No one came after her, and he began to approach her. The lady was already suspicious of him as it was. The door did not close completely, a rock kept the door ajar. The woman had place a rock in case she would need to escape from the unknown man.
Her heart began to race as she walked backwards. She got closer to the door and soon started to run to it. Dauth ran after her and jumped over her. He reached the door before she did and kicked the rock away with a foot that seemed the bones were attempting to break free from his skin. Thick round claws were attached to every toe. The fronts of his feet were larger than most humans but the heel was the same size, however, the skin seemed to be thicker.
The woman knew something was wrong with the man and let out a scream. Unfortunately her scream only lasted for less than a second.
As Chris approached the store, movements caught his attention at the corner of his eye. He saw a man covered in cloth and saw his eye meet his. The man was struggling with a woman. He noticed how she kept trying to wrench herself out of his grip but to no success.
“Hey!,” Chris shouted as he released Bianca’s hand. He ran towards the two and she followed him. The man noticed Chris was running towards them and hid from sight. Chris ran faster hoping to catch the man before he ran away. He turned and saw the woman laying on the floor. She was faced down and motionless. Chris did not know where the man had gone, the place was empty.
Bianca stopped behind Chris and was surprised to see the woman in the ground. Chris kneeled down and checked the woman. He turned her around and saw an unsightly image of the woman. Something had torn her throat however it did not have the results of a regular knife. Chris attempted to heal the women, but he was too late. The man had taken her life. Chris did not know what to do. He stood up and as fast he got up he went down once more and everything went black.
