One has to wonder what the novels would have done had they not been cancelled. Would they now have the creative freedom the Star Trek novels currently enjoy.

The red hair certainly doesn't lend credence to the idea of Paige being Piper and Phoebe's blood relative. I like how others cited it as making her appear more like a cousin or family friend than an actual sister. She's taller, her complexion is paler, and there just seems to be this distance between her and the other two.

I seem to recall it was a spell gone awry that caused Paige's hair to turn red. That spell also must have knocked her IQ down fifty points.

Anyone think that it's because she wanted some distance between her and these two horrible people who never treated her as a sister and always as a substitute for Prue in the Power of Three? Or when they did treat her as a sister, it always seemed like they felt like they *had* to, not that they wanted to? Probably not - then she wouldn't have gone back to her dark hair in S8 when they were at their worst. So glad she did - she's *so* much prettier that way.

I think the brown fits in most, she looks like a Halliwell. I liked the red, think Rose suited it well. Not keen on the strawberry blonde, but I dunno, it wasn't just the colour... a lot of the time in season 6 her hair looked pretty frazzled to me. The red suited Rose - it just didn't suit Paige. But that might be because she was less ditzy (see my signature) when her hair was dark. You're right about the frazzled (see my signature) - much too much peroxide is not good for hair.

I'm sure Piper and Phoebe cherished Paige for who she was to them besides just her symbolism as a component to the Power of Three. It's just that you can't beat or match the person whom they grew up and experienced their precious early years with. Now if they were given the option to bring Prue back at the expense of Paige, would they take it? That's the big question. Something tells me Piper would be teetering on the edge towards outright offering her half-sister up on a platter with a cherry on top. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if she sacrificed Phoebe to get Prue back as well. It's as I said before. To Piper, Prue isn't just her sister, she's her best friend whom she spent her entire life with up until 2001. They're the most closely connected out of the four siblings. Not even Leo could fill the void that was left in her heart.

Not even Leo could fill the void that was left in her heart. I'll agree totally on that. The only one who could fill that void is Wyatt. She came closer to being the Piper we saw in the earlier years while she was pregnant with Wyatt than at any other time. It's why I won't let her use getting over Prue as an excuse for her horrible behavior in S6-S8. The bigger question that you didn't answer is what do you think Phoebe would do? Given the choice between having Prue back and sacrificing Paige or keeping Prue gone and having Paige, what do you think Phoebe would choose? No, actually a bigger question. What about Paige??? If SHE had the choice of keeping her powers but not being part of the Power of Three by letting Prue come back or remaining part of the family, what do you think Paige would choose? Or for that matter, what about Prue herself? The comics handle these questions in extremely interesting ways (especially Season 9 - part of why I want to get a hold of Paul Ruditis' e-book; I'd love to see how he'd continue to handle that particular problem), but I'm very curious to see what you think they would do.

Given the choice between having Prue back and sacrificing Paige or keeping Prue gone and having Paige, what do you think Phoebe would choose? Phoebe's perspective on the issue is more complicated. On one hand, she grew up with Prue and is most familiar to her. But on the other, there's a certain kinship between Paige and Phoebe, being the younger and more sprightly siblings with a streak of independence. Prue and Phoebe were always butting heads due to their conflicting priorities and outlooks on how things should be. In the first year or so of having lived with Paige, I suspect that Phoebe might have chosen Prue for the sense of security, comfort and familiarity that it gives to have her oldest sister back. However, in the later years as she starts to branch out from her roots and become a celebrity, I think she'd choose Paige; having come to the conclusion that the past is the past and she should learn to appreciate the sister that she has right now. It wouldn't help that Phoebe was never as close to Prue like Piper was. Paige? She can be ditzy and self-absorbed at times, but I believe she would recognise how important it is to Piper and Phoebe for them to get their sister back. Just so long as they're not cutting her out of their lives or removing her ability to be a witch, she might swallow her own pride and let Prue reclaim her position for the sake of her half-siblings. As for Prue, well if enough time has passed then she might decide to stay in the afterlife, believing that her time as a Charmed One is over. We really didn't get much insight on what Prue thought of the whole situation after S3 because she was dead, the producers were hellbent on writing her out of the story as quickly as possible, and we couldn't be given anything more than a passing comment on her reactions from Patty and Grams.

I like how others cited it as making her appear more like a cousin or family friend than an actual sister. She's taller, her complexion is paler, and there just seems to be this distance between her and the other two. Yeah, that's what bothered me the most about the red/yellow hair. Does Paige even LOOK related to the other two in these pictures? Of course, to be fair, Phoebe's hair didn't really do her many favors in those years, either. In the early seasons, you could clearly tell that she was the sister who resembled Patty's looks the most (in fact, Alyssa even played Patty in the "Thank You for Not Morphing" Christmas video, so the character was probably cast based on Alyssa's looks), but it was hard to see that later on when Phoebe had that dark, hacked-up hair and orange spray tan. This isn't my favorite picture of the sisters by a LONG shot (WAY too fanservicey and glammed up!), but one thing I like about it is that, for once, Piper, Phoebe, and Paige looked like sisters again: Paige had brown hair, and Phoebe had long hair and no Oompa Loompa tan. There aren't many good things to say about Season 8, but Phoebe and Paige, at least, looked beautiful and like Halliwells again.

Exactly. If the other two weren't so tanned and their complexions closer to their earlier iterations with Paige having her brown hair then it might be more presentable. She would continue to stick out with her bigger stature, but at least she would look more presentable as a family member.

I could accept Paige having a slightly larger stature since she was only a half-sister, but the brown hair was a must. She (and the other two) looked like sisters the most in early Season 4, late Season 7, and Season 8, IMO: Now, they didn't necessarily ACT like sisters in those seasons (especially not Seasons 7 and 8), but that had more to do with the show's writing than their appearances.

I think that Paige looked pretty good in strawberry blonde hair. But she was the most beautiful in season 8, I agree. However, I don't think it's such a problem about being the only one with paler skin and different hair colour ... Not all relatives look alike and in the first three seasons Phoebe was always the one with a different hair colour and it didn't bother anyone. In the season 4, she's still the one with a different hair colour actually I get what you mean, though.

You could say that Paige's looks favoured her natural father's side of the family. Aside from Sam, we never saw any of them.

Her brown hair by far. I liked the red too but not as much. The "blonde" was horrible, it looked yellow and tacky. For some reasons I think very dark brunettes don't look "right" with dyed blonde hair, it rarely looks good.

Yeah, that yellow blonde hair looked soooo fake and trashy. Like you said, Rose just doesn't have the natural coloring to pull off blonde hair, especially not some cheap yellow blonde. Luckily, even she must've thought it looked bad, because it didn't last long. By the latter half of Season 6, she was already back to brown.

Nobody agree that she looked hot with strawberry blonde :-o I agree, she had a pale skin suitable for strawberry blonde hair Even so, I prefer Piper, Phoebe and Paige hairs in season 8, a warm chestnut brown, they seemed true sisters

I personally don't mind Paige's hair colors. She looks great with any hair color!

S4 Paige's hair color was black actually and it was my favorite by far, but her hairstyle was messy (unlike Prue's great hairstyles on past seasons), IMO that's why a lot of fans consider it Paige's worst one.
It has to do more with style than color, because RM pale skin goes well with every traditional hair color (not sure about the new Anime-ish hair dyes from Japan). This also comes from personal experience, I've been noirette, brunette and blonde at different points of my life and ugh! some of them I prefer to forget.
2nd place fave goes to brunette Paige on S7-8.
My absolute fave one would've been S4 hair color with S7-8 hairstyle.
Less fave one has to be the S5 redhead.

If only their inner selves had been as beautiful as their exteriors...

IMO S7-8 Paige was the best version of herself, hair included.
