Say what, i guess you think right now. But i have gone threw the cast list of the new Star Trek movie, that comes out next month. Guess what: 8 former Charmed actors can be spotted in it And they are: Zachary Quinto (Charmed eps: Cat House) John Cho (Charmed eps: Dead Man Dating) Faran Tahir (Charmed eps: Repo Manor) William Morgan Sheppard (Charmed eps: The Day the Magic Died) Bob Clendenin (Charmed eps: We All Scream for Ice Cream) Damion Poitier (Charmed eps: Valhalley of the Dolls parts 1+2) Jason Matthew Smith (Charmed eps: The Three Faces of Phoebe) Paul Townsend (Charmed eps: Payback's a Witch) On closer inspection, if you would like to, there's even some cast members from Ghost Whisperer in it. The new Star Trek movie sure has gotten the magic touch ;D

What i find interesting about John Cho, is the very important part he has, he is after all Sulu in the movie, the helmsman of the starship Enterprise.
Even in the Charmed episode it was a very important part he had, he was the ghost Mark, that Piper fell in love with and eventually helped to bring his murderers to justice.

I always wish Piper had married Mark the dead man rather than Leo the dead man. He would've been SOOO perfect for her! Wonder if he could've had kids--sons who are half-ghosts??
But Mark as Sulu...George Takei did SUCH a fantastic job with that role, it will be hard seeing someone else playing it. But then I'm SUCH a huge fan of the original Star Trek , it's going to be very hard to see ANY of those parts played by someone else. The only time I've seen a movie remake of a TV show that I liked was The Fugitive. I didn't even like any of the Star Trek movies except for The Journey Home. Just having better special effects won't make it better Trek.

The movie that comes out next month is not a remake. It is about the time when James T. Kirk got the command of the Enterprise and how it happened. As you know, Kirk was already the captain when TOS began, but revealed how he got the command was never really revealed, only that he got the command of the ship right after Captain Pike's accident, i guess this is also unclouded in the new movie.
The Enterprise though does look a bit different than the original Enterprise from the old series, understandable since that old design it had in the 60s show would not cut it on the big screen of a movie theater.
I am sure going to watch this new movie.
