The city (and surrounding areas) is a wonderful place for film making. It has such beauty and Charm that I can see why Spelling set some of his work there.
For many decades film companies have been using the location for their productions....and I thought it might be fun for members to list their favorites or just find something on the roster that they might like to see.
This should be for movies only, television shows might work better in another thread......MLM

I know some movies to that play in San Francisco or at least parts of it...
Like X-Men the last stand or in the end of the show an epsiode of Stargate: Atlantis.

Tons of movies has been filmed in San Francisco: Dirty Harry, Star Trek, Titanic, American Graffiti, The Birds, Dr. Doolittle, Hulk, Mrs. Doubtfire, The Net, A View To A Kill (James Bond). The list is long Sad you only wan't movies here, because there IS actually an entire TV-show that has the very same name of this subject

As usual I have made a blunder here and not explained the thread properly. Maybe I was just hoping for something that might be too complicated to do.
I see a San Francisco film library that all the members could add to and sort of borrow from. I remember seeing something like that in my travels where regular patrons would bring in books and leave them in a library setting for other to read and either keep or return.
I really wanted to have only films mentioned as I thought I would like to add a thread for television shows made or set in the area regardless if they were produced there. I am still going to try that.
Hansemand made a nice contribution and I will add his films to the list.
Kudos to **Teyla-Emmgan** for being the first to respond to the thread. You are being blessed....Thank you both....MLM

Found out yesterday when watching the movie Thunderbirds that it partly also goes on in SF, you get a nice air shot of the Golden Gate Bridge in the beginning of the movie.
