Charmed will forever be in our minds and hearts, but how long will charmed remain here, on the charmed cafe. Or even out in the open. Does anyone think it will fade from their memory? Has anyone moved on to anything else? Attachments:

As far as this board goes..you would have to talk to the ones running it lol.
Of course I have moved on but its always in the back of my mind since I come here everyday. As far as in the general public? I think it will always be there in the back for atleast the next 5 years or as long as Shannen/Alyssa/Holly/Rose are active in hollywood. Wouldnt be surprised if it got remade into a movie or something 10years down the road.

Also with the new comic books about to hit the stands I think they might help to bring back some fans that did indeed move on and maybe generate a new following. And if it is correct the SD and AM are speaking....well who know's...there just might be a movie or two.

It has made it's mark on me. I will always remember and enjoy it, and hopefully share it with my kids someday.

I don't think I've moved on yet. I still think of it more than anything else. Although there's other shows that I'm watching, I'm not as into any of them as I am into Charmed.
As long as there's fanfic that I love, virtual series that I love and people on this and other boards to discuss it with me, I doubt if I'll ever truly move on.
As a teenager I was a Monkee fan. I didn't get beyond them for at least 20-25 years because I had friends who continued to discuss it with me, and we'd have to do ours via landline phonecalls (no cell phones back then) or snail mail (no Net) or getting together for Monkee conventions or reunion tours. (I saw my first Monkee concert in '67 and my last one in '96 - well, it was just two of them, but I think that counts)
Back then, one of my address labels read:
"If I could thank The Monkees for one thing, it would be all the friends I've made by being their fan."
I can say the same about Charmed and I have a hunch my fascination with this show will probably last just as long.

I love so many other shows, and not a one has compared to Charmed! I love it, its so fantastic. It will always be my favorite TV show! If I could have anything in a charmed series continuation, it would definatly be a video game! I think that would be amazing.

I doubt there will be any Charmed movies, big screen or tv screen. Espically with TheWB gone, Charmeds chances of a reunion really seem slim to none.

Far be it from me to argue any topic with anyone considering how uncharmed my life has been lately, but with some of the stuff Hollyrock has tossed our way.....Starky and Hutch, Bewitched, The Dukes of Hazard, The Brady Bunch....blah blah blah... a Charmed Movie doesn't look all that impossible. Of course those featured did not really count considering the principals were not in attendance, but you still have...The X-Files and "24" is in question...so Charmed Faith....I think I will keep some Faith for Charmed....Faith is not always a reality...but it can be a possibility!!!

Well I think I might never truly get over it. I'll still enjoy chatting online for it and fan fiction and writing stuff about it.
But I won't rewatch it constantly. Probably take more break between watching, I rewatch it this year so I might put it on hold on a while again, I mean seeing each episode so many times too often can get boring, why extended breaks are needed. Of course I watch heaps of other shows that air currently now, so there's of course more excitement as I've never seen them before.
But I won't hate it and move on. It still has a special place in my heart.

I feel the same thing I grow up with Charmed, as only child I dreamed to have sisters, I loved and still I love their link Often we grow fond to a tv serie because of how much of us we see in the story I have a coworker who often identified herself with Rory of Gilmore Girls:very rich grandparents, young and protester mother single for choose, she grew up feeling like Rory, wiser than her mother I followed TV series very beautiful, better written and planed than Charmed, as Lost, Breaking Bad, Games of Throne, Battlestar Galactica, but only Charmed is in my heart and I re-watch gladly I re-watch Seinfeld also but that's another story

This thread seems somewhat sad in retrospect, because "fade from memory" is exactly what Charmed has done since it ended. No spinoff or movie was ever greenlit, the novels were cancelled, and there hasn't been any further interest in the show from officialdom outside of a poorly-selling series of comics and a failed reboot idea. Almost all of the Charmed fansites and message boards from back in the day have since disappeared and few new ones have sprung up to replace them. Even this site suffers from a steadily-declining membership.
Sad as it may be, Charmed just never ended up having the staying power of shows like Buffy and Angel. While most Buffy/Angel fans are still diehard fans to this very day, most Charmed fans moved on to other things shortly after the show ended, leaving only a very small, but loyal bunch left.

And so? I don't like the crowd,I never read the books but I never read books related to the series or movie.
Respecting the reebot, I'm happy not to have been made, certainly the sisters would be filled with extra power,we'ld have to watch great special effects, hybrids of all types, with a traffic policeman to regulate the magic traffic!

This is very true. Charmed has faded away. It can never compete with Buffy and angel. X files which is returning is miles ahead of it. Its sad but its just how it is. I so happen to hear options on people who used to watch a while ago saying looking back the show was so cheesy and poorly written, it won't be remembered fondly from causal former fans. Even though we all love the show, it won't ever sadly be remembered. It never won many awards and never was recognized in many online polls praising its writing. But there's still dedicated fans out there but a smaller following than a lot of fandoms.

Even though we all love the show, it won't ever sadly be remembered. It never won many awards and never was recognized in many online polls praising its writing. But there's still dedicated fans out there but a smaller following than a lot of fandoms. I think Charmed was always the kind of show that many people saw as entertainment and nothing more. Something to pass time and get enjoyment out of, but not be deeply impacted or inspired by. It says a lot that Charmed's biggest claim to fame nowadays is being one of the most-binged TV shows on Netflix. Even now, a lot of people are still watching Charmed for light entertainment value, but few go any further than that. It probably doesn't help that Charmed was never really an inspiring or boundary-pushing show to begin with. It was always a follower rather than a leader. Even its portrayal of witches was preceded by movies like The Craft and Practical Magic, and it was very much a product of the late 90s witch craze. Heck, even its lone ground-breaking achievement, being the longest-running TV show with all female leads, was taken by Desperate Housewives in 2012. We all may still love the show, but to say that Charmed hasn't exactly aged well or had any staying power would be an understatement. It's a tough pill to swallow.

And, of course, it never really got out of Buffy's shadow.
Of course, had Officialdom remained actively involved with the fans, like Joss Whedon has done, then things might be different. However, check the Internet, Constance Burge and Brad Kern are nowhere to be seen. If they don't care, why should anyone else.
Charmed fandom is more or less confined to this one board. Small, but loyal.

I agree that the pop culture'ld expand to the entire field of visual arts In a nice essay, Camille Paglia put the battle scene between Obi Wan and Anakin among the most powerful visual images of the last century There were series with interessing basic concepts, like Lost with its opposition between Faith and Science Some series talk of problems, generate discussions but this is not a requirement, the base is the entertainment Nothing wrong if Charmed is evaluated as pure entertainment,it's not an educational program, none TV serie has to be it Buffy isn't a philosophical encyclopedia or an emergency manualfor teens in crisis What was I supposed to learn from Buffy, that vampires are sexy? OK, where could I grab one of them? And what is the teachings of Supernatural, never trust the credit cards?
My job is not the television critic so I dn't follow the tide of fantasy series which drown the channels, I carry on following Supernatural for affection for the brothers, Castiel and Crowly (but as Charmed, Supernatural has had bad seasons as 6 and the 7), I followed Buffy, intermittently because I have never been fanatical in the series, I followed Charmed, above all for affection after the sixth season
Now between fantasy series, I am watching only Once Upon a Time, it's fun but what but what'ld teach me? Nothing, I hope, this idea that TV series have to educate people is unsettling
Why I still love to chat about Charmed? Not only for affection, Charmed is full of captivating ideas, original plots never fully explored that made Charmed similar to those coloring books with which the children enjoy to choose and change colors I like the "What if" line, play to analyze or to change, without claiming to be the holder of the true,is relaxing

Star Trek fans are getting ready for next year. 2016 will be the 50th Anniversary of the premier of The Original Series.
One has to wonder if there will be any note of the 50th Anniversary of the premier of Charmed in 2048. Guess we'll have to wait and see, assuming I'm still around in 2048.
