You're right that trying to keep Shannen and Alyssa separated as much as possible would've probably been the best way to keep the show going, although that's what they try doing in S3 and we know how that worked out!  (Check out the last half of S3 and you'll be surprised how seldom Alyssa and Shannen share screen time). Oh, I *do* hope you get a chance to write that fic! I think it would be fantastic, and could be one of the best "What Should've Been" fics out there! |

I've got to say that I agree with Es and StoryGirl, your idea is great. It's very original - I don't think anybody has ever gone that route. If you did ever write a fanfic series then you would definitely have at least one reader (me!).

Why not have Prue turn evil? She already proved in "Death Takes a Halliwell" that she was capable of turning evil all on her own, without a spell or potion. Cole had to stop her from killing one of the Seekers in a fit of rage.

Pipe'ld turn evil because of enormous pain as when Prue died
Phoebe'ld turn evil beacuse of the fear of losing Cole and the baby Prue was the only one who'ld turn for rage

*roll eyes* Why does everyone always want Prue to turn evil? And why Prue? All of the sisters turned evil at one point or another - you're not a Halliwell unless you did. It's such a cliche and would've been so boring.

Actually Es, out of all four of the sisters, I could see Shannen pulling off the evil arc better than the other three. I would of love to have seen Prue dance with the darkside.
Why is it cliche for Prue to be evil and not Phoebe!? In my opinion it's more cliche for Phoebe as she was doing it for love!

That's what I meant by cliche - having one of the stars in a good vs evil show turn evil. It's been there, done that SO often! It's my reaction towards Phoebe turning evil as much as Prue. You're right that Shannen's definitely the one who would've done it best, but I would've preferred if it hadn't happened at all.
Something like what I did with my "Charmed Forever" where Paige is the one who survived but who temporarily turns evil because she's Hollow-filled, or even one of them being like Future Phoebe who turns evil and murders because the person she murders murdered her close friend, that's one thing. But one where it's either because Prue's dead and turns evil to get even with her sisters who replaced her, or Phoebe turning her back on her sister for love, no, that's just cliche.

Well, IF they had to do Phoebe as evil, I preferred that scenario to the one we got, BUT I would've prefered no sisters turning evil at all. |

Are you saying that although you don't like the idea of any of the sisters turning evil, you would tolerate Phoebe turning evil?
As for me, I have nothing against any of the sisters turning evil on their own accordance. They are certainly capable of doing so. And it would have allowed them to finally recognize how much darkness they are truly capable of.
Kern had the opportunity to explore this in early Season 5 by allowing the sisters to discover that Cole had been possessed by the Source and realize they had killed him with extreme prejudice.
Instead, Kern never allowed this to happen and changed the series' storyline by having Cole deliberately choose evil in mid Season 4 and deliberately impregnate Phoebe. The whole thing left me disgusted.

I like Paige but I think that it would have been best if their were all four sisters together- except Paige as only Whitelighter.
I would have had this happen-
Grams appears to Paige and tells her she is magical and must protect her new sisters. She is quite confused but recites the spell Grams talks her through. Then cut back to a fight back at the manor.
Later along with Grams who is incorporeal shows up with Paige. Paige and Grams see Shax throw Piper and Prue into the wall but Paige is ready and available to heal them. After this episode she is unable to heal the way Leo does. The process is slow because she is learning but the capability is there.
Grams then summons Patty and Paige's story is fully revealed to the other 3 sisters. Leo trains Paige to be their whitelighter. Later on in the series he relinquishes his wings to be a father once Wyatt is born. Wyatt is the first witchlighter. later he will be guided by his father and mother into the craft but taught his powers and usage by Paige as she will still have her wings.
Wyatt is not twice blessed in this series. He is not unstoppable. Like his mother and aunts he must learn to control his powers however he has his powers since birth since they are bound.
In my opinion Phoebe's baby should be born (before Wyatt). In my version her and Cole remain together. He is not manipulated by the Seer and when she dies the baby's spirit "finds her" because it isn't yet dead. Baby is born half-demon. Cole and Phoebe move out of the Manor with Baby. Baby can shimmer so often transports Phoebe to the Manor and when older shimmers randomly to play with Wyatt (i added that cos it would be funny to see even once).
Wyatt and Melinda- piper
Parker- Phoebe
Penny- Prue
Patty-Paige
Next Generation would include 4 Charmed children each with one or more magical power and Paige's little girl would be the only full whitelighter. Wyatt would have some but not all whitelighter abilities. He would be unable to heal but shielding would be a specialty. Melinda would have her mother's power. Parker would have premonitions and the ability to shimmer. Penny would have her mother's power. Patty would be full whitelighter. No tk orbing as Paige wouldn't have that in this series.
Thats my take on more than just all hell breaks loose

I see no need for Paige to be a whitelighter, period. Even if Prue was alive.

I agree. I would've preferred whitelighters only being those who are dead and have deserved that honor and would prefer them as actual guides and messengers, not magical doctors or taxicabs. I would prefer them not being able to have kids, even if it would've changed my favorite episode "Morality Bites". So I would prefer either Paige with just Prue's powers and only receiving them after Prue is gone or no Paige at all. Only having three or four seasons with the original three sisters would still be my preference.
