My connection is fine, every other forum I go on loads the images fine. What host are the images on? It could be that they don't allow UK users. Tinypic for example. I can see the pictures fine and I'm in the UK. Which browser are you using? The images are .png files so maybe it's a browser incompatability?  I really love the new graphics however I think the grey background makes the text hard to read, maybe it should be a bit lighter (the background colour)? |

Nope, it's not a broswer issue either. I've tried both Firefox (which I use most) and Chrome and neither pick up any of the images.
The odd thing is that I use .png images at CRR and they all appear fine, they often a higher spec than the ones used here, so it's not a connection issue either. I can only assume it's a tinypic problem as I can't seem to view anything from tinypic.

Yup, I can see that fine. Perhaps tinypic is being blocked by internet protection software and firewalls.

Nope, it doesn't seem to be that either. If it isn't too much trouble, I would appreciate it if the images were reuploaded to photobucket so I'd could view the beauty of this skin too. It's rather ugly look at the bland grey walls without any images to go with it.  |

Perhaps someone can set up a second skin with all of the images but put on photobucket, since most of us seem to be able to see that. Then those who can't see the new one (and if you can't, Astral, I'm sure others can't but just aren't saying) can use the second skin.

Would that work, SP? haha or just change all the images from this current one into photobucket ones ill make the other buttons guys, sorry! btw i like how it looks but isnt it better if you adjust the forums width to the width of the header, which is 750 ? also isnt it more handy if you put up a legenda down on the main page so we know what you use as new button and old topics button  glad you all like it!     no one gave me charmed points for all this? xD im sad  |

I've actually been doing a little reading up on it and there doesn't seem to be any kind of explanation for it and others who experience such problems just believe it's some freaky, random Tinypic related issue. Apparently it effects random people, regardless of browser, net protection software or web speed. I guess that is why everyone uses photobucket or Imageshack! |

btw i like how it looks but isnt it better if you adjust the forums width to the width of the header, which is 750 You might like it better, but I prefer it the way it is - I prefer more text on one screen over background, especially a background like this one. What about the rest of you? |

SP - thanks for adding the extra buttons and for changing some of the text to white - definitely a lot easier to read. Ditto for making the background lighter - the black is a lot easier to read. The blue is still tough (I liked yellow better), but the board is looking better and better!

SD I gave you gave you 10 blessed points for designing the background. thanks (: but hey, isnt it a good idea to add those new and old topics buttons in a legenda down on the main page thats wa i used to do when i had proboards ages ago  and i think its also a good idea if you update the message in the ''welcome box'' thats up on the main page right underneath the banner i think the text that it shows is a little old i know this isnt really active place , no offence but it seems , maybe also because you are busy as admin this place not really get taken care of properly as in the layout way thats why i am glad i could help this place out by making all of this but if you need a hand,i could be help out here and there i am also helping out on this selena forum and im an admin now(before a global moderator but got promoted) also because the main admin couldnt be around as much because she is way too busy with college  just a suggestion |

It seems like every time a brand-new person pops into a site, especially a site that has been around for awhile and has been doing well as is, and the someone new takes over, things go bad, often ending up with the site closing.
Nothing against you, SD - you might be a fantastic person - but we don't really know you and I've been bit by that bug too many times to disastrous results. This particularly happens after someone comes in with "gifts" for the site and then tries to take over. I've discovered someone who is mainly interested in graphics usually doesn't make a very good admin unless the site is a graphics site, which this one isn't.
You are right that AW has been busy with school, but if SP was going to turn someone into an admin, I'd prefer it being someone who has been around the board for awhile, someone who is at least a Charmed One if not a Whitelighter and not still just an Innocent with less than 50 posts and who hasn't even been part of the board for an entire year. (No, not me. I *know* I make a terrible admin because I have too-strong opinions and tend to scare newbies away.)
Of course this is SP's call, not mine, since it's SP's board. But I'd truly prefer continuing the way we have until we at least get a chance to know you.
Now if she wants to make you the mod of the graphics sub-board, that would be fine with me. But for the entire board, I hope you don't mind me believing in once bit, twice shy, at least until we get to know you better.
You did a fantastic job with the new graphics and we're grateful and you're welcomed to be a member.
But taking over our site this soon? Please ask again in a year or until you're a Charmed One, whichever comes first - and I hope that will be when you're a Charmed One.

Is there a reason the main banner isn't centered? It's the first time I've seen the images and the new board layout.
I think, for some reason my current network (at uni) doesn't like Tinypic but my wireless network at the hotel I'm currently staying in does show them, but the main image isn't centered as it naturally should.
As far as SD being promoted to admin, unless it's on a temporary basis, I'm sorry to say but you my friend aren't up to it. You've been here for less than ten minutes, so I don't think it's right that you should be promoted to admin for graphics reasons.

lol you guys you get me totally wrong my apology i wasnt attented to make myself look like; hey i made you this or that, now i deserve to be an admin LOL no not @ all by mentioning that , i was tryin to say im here and i would love to help out more i dont only got graphic experiences but also forum experiences thats why and being moderator or anything @ all does it , right as for example^^ you mention the header isnt in the center... i know and no offence but i would of taken care of that by now xD i know its not big of a deal but it Does look a bit more nice so just sayin again, just also for the little things like that i was tryin to say im willing to volenteer to help out etc and for the record, echo you dont scare me one bit ;D i know exactly what your tryin to say but im not like that @ all dont feel like im tryin to take this place over all of sudden guys relax i am a true charmed fan, if i only have 26 posts or not you cant blame me for letting you guys know im tryin to be a help (: and btw, i CAN actually prove i am a huge and true fan, so dont try me out here xD my room is literaly full of beautiful charmed posters that costed a lot of money for my dad , meh cant be botherd to tell the whole thing xD |

If there was a way that you could just do the graphics and leave the board alone, I'd have no complaints, but as someone with forum experience, you know there's a lot more to that.
We will know if we want you as an admin by the way you treat the members, whether you make them feel appreciated and make them want to come back, that you want to do it for that reason and not just for the glory of you and your knowledge of Charmed and your knowledge of graphics. It's what AW has done as our admin and part of th reason we love her.
I'm not saying that that's what you want, but it *is* the way you're coming across, at least to me. If anyone disagrees with me, please say so.
I'm just saying that before you take over, let us get to know you. This board and its predecessor has been around for a long time. To put our baby into someone's hands, someone we don't know, is scary, and at this point in time, totally unnecessary.
