I don't care as long as it is similar to the first few season where they fought a new demon every week. I just want it to be them using their powers to protect innocents and not to find their baby daddy or solve their marriage problems every comic.
I don't want a Big Bad to come in unless they were bad@$$. I don't want ones comepletely stupid(Avatars) or annoying(Christy).
Also I want Leo to become a whitelighter again. He is useless without his powers in my opinion. Also I want Phoebe to get her levitation power back. I don't care much about her empathy power.
One more thing is that I want Paige to get back her social working job. It is a great way to help mortal inncoents, and probably run into some more supernatrual innocents aswell.
Also, has it been decided who is writing the Charmed comic?

I would like all the things I'm sure we won't get: - finding out that the last half of S56-S8 never happened and that Wyatt was actually Prudence Melinda who isn't the Twice Blessed Brat and who doesn't have a brother who comes back from the future--in fact *NO FUTURE CHILD* is ever shown except for Baby Prudence Melinda--it's all about the sisters, not their men or their children
- letting them be sisters who happen to be witches and not demon hunters who happen to live in the same house
- emphasis on plot and not sl*tty costumes and new powers
- smart demons who you truly think can beat the Charmed Ones, so you sigh with relief when they're vanquished.
- Elders who aren't more demonic than the demons
- death meaning something--no corporeal spirits, no Charmed One dying and coming back to life fifty times.
- no Poor, Poor Pitiful Piper, Ditzy Paige or Freebie/PhoeME, but three sisters who I can admire, like I did during the first three-and-a-half seasons.
That's what would make me excited about the new comics, but I'll bet my bottom dollar I don't get any of them. Wow! I would never guess that this is one of your favorite shows.. Haha If you read enough of my posts, you'll find out that Charmed is my favorite show. Charmed's first and only (thank God!) spin-off, "The Perils of Poor, Poor Pitiful Piper" (you probably think of it as the last four seasons of Charmed) is one of my least-favorite shows for all the reasons listed above, and which is why I would need all of these things to happen for me to enjoy the comic book. It's because I love Charmed so much that I hate "The Perils of Poor, Poor Pitiful Piper" so much. And you'll find there's quite a few of us that feel the same way. I tolerated "The Perils of Poor, Poor Pitiful Piper" because I kept hoping that maybe *something* would happen to bring back the Charmed Ones I loved -- as my signature says, my snarky Piper, my smart Paige and my sweet Phoebs rather than Miss Whinealot, Ditzy and Freebie. But unless all of the above things happen, I know they won't be brought back in the comic books, so it wouldn't be worth my effort to read them. But at any rate, welcome to the message board. You'll also quickly see that I believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinion - just like I am.

In the end, I think it would be better if she didn't come back for all those reasons and more. Love her to death but.. She's dead. Haha So was Leo before he became mortal. So is Grams. So is Patty. We sure see them enough. Death does not mean gone during Charmed. If they had permission to use Shannen's likeness, there could be ways to bring Prue back. I hope they don't - I don't want her ruined the way Piper, Phoebe and Paige were ruined - but they could. If done properly, I wouldn't mind Prue coming back as a ghost and helping Piper get past her death so maybe she could go back to being the Piper I loved. Not that I think that's the reason for Poor Poor Pitiful Piper (I think it's Kern's idea of what the oldest should be like, the reason I'm glad he didn't have permission to show Shannen's likeness), but enough fans use it as an excuse, I'd love for them to no longer have that excuse.

I didn't mean it would be impossible or anything like that, I just think it wouldn't make sense and would be inconsistant to the rest of the show - that is unless they made a good explanation as to why she is coming back now in the story. And I am sorry that you don't like the last four seasons of Charmed! I still really enjoyed it. It was a lot different from the first four, but I love them (except for maybe season 8 ). I think Charmed got more up to date and current in the last 4 seasons, which I think is why it ended up lasting for 8 seaosns. But that is just my opinion Thanks for the welcome!

WARNING! THIS POST INCLUDES SPOILERS!After noticing that SP had moved all the Comic Book-related threads to the Bay Mirror (good job, SP!), I was looking through the threads and found this: I would like all the things I'm sure we won't get: - finding out that the last half of S56-S8 never happened and that Wyatt was actually Prudence Melinda who isn't the Twice Blessed Brat and who doesn't have a brother who comes back from the future--in fact *NO FUTURE CHILD* is ever shown except for Baby Prudence Melinda--it's all about the sisters, not their men or their children
So after 9 issues (counting #0), here's my reaction so far: - finding out that the last half of S56-S8 never happened and that Wyatt was actually Prudence Melinda who isn't the Twice Blessed Brat and who doesn't have a brother who comes back from the future--in fact *NO FUTURE CHILD* is ever shown except for Baby Prudence Melinda--it's all about the sisters, not their men or their children
Nope. At least no sign of Future Chris or Future Wyatt or Future Melinda or Future PJ or Future... Very upset by what they've done with Melinda, setting her and her brothers to be the next Power of Three and even more powerful than the Charmed Ones.
And at least for now the emphasis *is* on the sisters, not their kids or their men. That I *do* like.
- letting them be sisters who happen to be witches and not demon hunters who happen to live in the same house
YES!! My favorite part of the comic books!!
- emphasis on plot and not sl*tty costumes and new powers
Too much emphasis on sl*tty clothes (especially in the earlier issues) and new powers, especially for the kids, but at least the powers made sense and plot is *very* important.
- smart demons who you truly think can beat the Charmed Ones, so you sigh with relief when they're vanquished.
DEFINITELY! LOVE Neena and the use of the Source!
- Elders who aren't more demonic than the demons
No - at least not so far. Best of all it *appears* that *maybe* the demonic Elders we saw in S6-8 have been replaced by ones who *might* be better - but that I'll have to see to believe.
- death meaning something--no corporeal spirits, no Charmed One dying and coming back to life fifty times.
So far yes!!!!!
- no Poor, Poor Pitiful Piper, Ditzy Paige or Freebie/PhoeME, but three sisters who I can admire, like I did during the first three-and-a-half seasons.
Most important part of all - YES!! I love the personalities given to the sisters!
So although I don't like the two latest issues at all (#7 and #8), I do enjoy the comics and plan on continuing to buy them. I can accept them as Season 9.

Es, I'm glad that while there are certainly disapointments, you are still so far enjoying it, especially the portrayal of the sisters. On a different note, I have something I want to share with the people on this site, and I wasn't sure where to put it. This thread seemed ideal because one of the things I want is for the sisters to be recognizable in the comics. It certainly not as important as plot or the characterization of the characters, but it's something I want. The following link is to the blog of the artist for issue #10. In order to get the job he submitted four pages. The four pages he submitted are his version of four pages from issue #8. Reno Maniquis's Blog: capsulezone.wordpress.com/2011/04/28/charmed-tryout-pages/Preview of issue #8: www.majorspoilers.com/sneak-peek-charmed-8And if you'd like to compare the official color versions by Carlos Granda and the tryout pages by Reno Maniquis, here's thumbnails for them. For bigger versions, click on them. The thing that makes me laugh about this is that in Reno Maniquis' fourth page, I'm pretty sure Paige is wearing the clothes from "Forever Charmed". Anyway, I think he did an excellent job with the likenesses and I can't wait to see his work. Of course before we can see that, we still have issue #9 to wait for. I can only hope the likenesses are as good. Of course with the progression of issues #7 and #8, there's also the plot to consider, because the plot has been less than stellar. There are points I like, but we'll see where things go from there. I'm hoping issues #9-12 lead us to an amazing story that goes in ways that we could never guess from what we've seen in the first two in the arc.
