Hmm, I sort of can't decide whether I like the idea of Henry Jr. not being magical.
I mean, I think it is a good idea of how Henry and Paige 'adopt' but, would the baby really survive with Paige just orbing him out of the girl's womb? A tad unrealistic.
I don't know If I like the plot or not..

SPOILERS Technically it's not official that he is going to be their third child (though it seems likely). Right now he's just their foster son. Also depending on how far along the baby is, I don't think it's all the unrealistic that she could do that. Basically, all she's doing is moving the baby into the air and magically cutting the umbilical cord. While there's a bit more involved in normal births, the basic come down to they are bringing the baby out into the air and cutting the umbilical cord.
Second, technically we don't know that he's nonmagical. It seems likely, but you never know for sure unless you get official news on his parents . . . and we don't know much about his mother and nothing about his father.

Well then what on earth is the point of a discussion thread?

The use of the spoiler tag allows us to discuss stuff without spoiling stuff for others who don't want to be spoiled. Just highlight the white letters and you can read it. And when you want to reply, just use the white text color. Also, SP added a spoiler tag, but it's not working. Hopefully she'll be able to fix that.

Well then what on earth is the point of a discussion thread? If you highlight my post, you will find that I discussed it quite a bit. I just made it white for the moment (until such a time as there is a spoiler tag) so that people not wanting to be spoiled wouldn't be. If you ever see just the word spoilers with a gap under it, check it out. It's probably just a post that contains hidden spoilers.

Nope. That's okay. It's why I explained. We do that on this site at present for spoilers. So do you have an opinion on what I said?

Aha, yes I do -SPOILERS- I suppose if the mother was far enough along then it could be done yes, just trying to make a talking point. And I have a feeling the writers might have done this to inject some new blood into the 'Next Generation' instead of the constant cycle of telekinesis/orbing/molecular manipulation powers, if Henry's biological mother and father were magical, he could have totally different powers, bringing something new and exciting to the comics!

Oops! Your spoilers are showing!! use *color=white* (with brackets instead of the astericks) and it will hide. SP told me that she's working on the spoiler tag.
Here's my response:
I also think that we will find that Henry Jr has a whole different set of powers - *roll eyes* I hate the kids with all the different powers! But it still makes me hate the fact that Kern had to name him Henry Jr (just so we would know the name of all three males, just like we know the name of the grandson and not the granddaughter), because I can't see either Paige or Henry naming their son that. But I can definitely see them adopting - perhaps the only thing I like in this issue.

Just got in my copy of the limited cover from C2E2, so I uploaded the picture for you guys to see. If you haven't seen it elsewhere, all the finished covers I am linking to are scans of my actual comics, so the issues not yet out don't have any pictures of covers. Once I have copies in hand I will scan the covers and upload them and update the post.
Oh, and, Es: SPOILER I agree that adopting definitely sounds like something Paige and Henry would do.

I like the idea of Henry J as an adopted kid and I hope he didn't have powers

Oops! Be sure to put your comments in white so you don't spoil others! SPOILER: I agree, although I hope Henry Jr has powers - not having powers when his sisters do and his cousins do could give him a complex! But - typical Charmed - only Wyatt and Chris would be males who could handle Charmed powers, so they and their sister would still be the next Power of Three. It *so* should be Phoebe's three daughters!

Okay, please enough with the spoilers. This thread is for issue 8 if someone comes in here to read the thread before reading the comics then it's their fault. We don't need to tip toe around it.
The girl died in attack and a whitelighter was attacked. There could be something more about the baby.
Okay spoiler tag because i'm making a speculation. What if the whitelighter who died is the father and the woman girl was a witch?
I think if they make the baby nonmagical then it would give Henry someone to relate to being the only two nonmagical beings in the house, which could make their bond stronger.

Okay - different sites do discussions differently, whether to spoil or not to spoil, but if you don't want us to use spoiler tags in these threads, we won't, especially since the tag isn't working. Although you should put some sort of disclaimer in the board so people are warned.
I agree that including a nonmagical baby would help Henry feel like he's not the only nonmagical in the house, especially with him also named Henry (although I still don't think either Henry or Paige would hang a name like that on their son - I think it was Kern wanting to be sure all the males had a name but too lazy to come up with one that made sense). Although I wonder if Junior would become jealous of his magical sisters and cousins. Personally I'd prefer all the kids' powers bound until they're old enough to use them properly, but if one of them has them, they all should.
I still think that we'll find out that Junior's mother was a witch and that he has powers, too.
