Happy to say that my local comic book store, The Source, called me to let me know that this issue will be in my box on Wednesday! After reading and enjoying #9, but leaving me with a ton of questions, I'm definitely looking forward to this one!

That has to seem a bit strange, missing 7. Although as I said there, it's my least-favorite.

I did read issue number 7 I'm just waiting for my copy to come in. Although it may take longer because the Canadian postal service is on strike.

This issue is amazing. The artwork is superb and I adore the colouring. Cole and Piper's likenesses were great, everyone elses were decent and just the general art itself was brilliant. This duo are easily my favourite Penciler and Colourist!
This issue makes me love Neena all the more - I consider her to be the cleverest villian in Charmed history. I don't even care if she's the most overpowered thing ever, she's amazing.
I wonder why the powers of the Underworld and the Heavens were behind the grand doors? It makes little sense that evil magic would reside "Up There", and how it'd get up there in the first place.
My theory is that the two orbs, one red and one blue, signify the spirits of Neena's two children: one good and one evil, as she refers to them as "my sweetlings", and the Elders kept the two spirits up there so Evil wouldn't try to harness the Warlock's powers.
I think she's going to use the power of her progeny to try and merge the Heavens and the Underworld with the Higher Realm, if that's at all possible, although it might be, since Neena is tied to The All and her children are possibly the most powerful magic users next to her.

I agree that the issue was pretty amazing. I was especially impresssed with the drawings of Cole - unlike the previous issue, some of them really did look like Julian. I still giggle how at first his Henry looks amazingly like Henry and then suddenly he becomes a blond! The only sister who I don't think looks anything like the actress is Phoebe, but because the others are fairly good, I can pretend...
Speaking of Cole, his interaction with Piper was easily the best part of the issue for me - it takes up right where they left in Seven Year Witch - great continuity on Paul Ruditis' part.
I'm with you that the "sweetlings" are the spirits of Neena's two children which she'll use to bring forth her mate - the reason why the Elders would keep them Up There.
What's fascinating me is the idea that this Vault can only be entered by Elders who have moved forward, Elders like Kyle.... I've always found a lot of similarities between Kyle and Cole (name, certain views looking amazingly the same, the fact that Kyle was to Paige what Cole was to Phoebe regarding their relationship with their sisters), so with Kyle Up There and Cole wherever the heck Piper is, I still think they're going to have something to do with all of this and I can't wait to find out what.
I just hope that the fact that this mate does appear to be behind the Vault doesn't mean he's another Titan, since they are among my most-disappointing villains who were much too easily vanquished for what they are supposed to be.
