I noticed that ProBoards is changing and it's scaring me half to death.
I was originally a member of ezBoards (as was the Cafe) and absolutely loved it! Then it became Yuku, but we spelled it Yuko and pronounced it Yucko because it was dreadful and the death of a lot of boards.
The worst part was that when transferring stuff from the old ezBoards to Yuko the fonts got mixed up and suddenly fanfics no longer had quote marks or other formatting.
I didn't like Proboards when the Cafe first moved over, but I love the way it's set up now, so I'm very nervous about them changing (and the fact that they used "it's" wrong in their announcement doesn't give me much confidence - it should've been ProBoards is changing its name to HappyBoards)
Right now it appears that the only change is that the owner can use their own name as the name of the site and the url - something as a Charmed fan I don't care for since how would I know who's a Charmed fan? - but I'm very nervous that they might change other things like Yuku did - trying to turn it into a social network more than a message board. I'm also afraid that the reason why the owner can use their name is because they will have to pay for it. That was the only part of ezBoard that I didn't like - it lost me some good friends.
If anyone discovers any other changes, please put them in this thread (unless SP wants to start a different one) or if you want to discuss it, go ahead and use this thread.
