I am actually pretty shocked that Prue and Phoebe are tied for first place at this point. I find most people on this board prefer Prue and most people in real life/other places online prefer Piper. Come through Phoebe fans! I think Phoebe is the character people love most and hate most at the same time. The Phoebe era's fans love they really love and the era's of Phoebe fans hate they really hate. Yeah, with Phoebe its either loved or hated. I always find Piper is universally beloved Or outside this forum I always find that people worship her. This might be the first community I've ever seen where fans are not worshipping Piper. I always wondered why that is. I don't see the love that others do, especially in S6-S8. I don't like in S6-S8 one bit. Phoebe I love very much pre Cole. She does have periods I can enjoy her here and there after that. But it isn't Like the earlier seasons. Maybe I'll get to see if my views change if I keep up with the rewatches. |

I don't like Alyssa and used to dislike Phoebe because of it, but I've grown and matured and know the difference between actors and characters. I find this board is filled with more mature adults than immature adults/children, so this board is more logical, in that regard ;P |

I decided to repeat two earlier posts since my reactions haven't changed any despite a number of re-watches. Definitely Prue, the ultimate Big Sister. She's the only sister Kern didn't get a chance to screw up. Of the second set, definitely Paige, but overall, 100% Prue. The funny thing is that if you just counted the first two seasons, she'd be in last. Here's my listing by seasons, since some of the sisters changed so very much: Phoebs (S1-2) Piper (S1-2)/Paige (S4)/Prue (S1-2) Piper (S3-S4)/Paige (S8)/Prue (S3) Phoebe (S3-4)/Piper (S5) Ditzy Valley Girl (S5-7) Poor, Poor, Pitiful Ms. Whinealot (S6-8) PhoeME/Freebie (S5-8) Piper in the first season is my favourite. A close second is Phoebe in that same season. I'll do each season- Season 1- Piper Runner up- Phoebe (very close) Season 2- Phoebe Runner up- Piper (very close- the love triangle did her no favors, but still like her) Season 3- Prue Runner up- Piper (less close this time) Season 4- Paige Runner up- Piper After that, I'm not sure I really had a favourite. For the most part, I could stand Paige the most... but I dunno, calling her my favourite might be stretching it a bit. While she's often the most bearable by far, I'd only really consider s4 a good Paige season. If they'd given her more attention instead of just leaving her to flip flop once they knew she'd saved them from cancellation, she may well have been a favourite for me later on. Doing it that way, mine would be: Season 1 - Phoebs Runner up - Piper Season 2 - Phoebs Runner up - Prue Season 3 - Prue Runner up - None Season 4 - Paige Runner up - None Season 5 - Piper Runner up - None Season 6 - None Season 7 - Kyra (oh, yeah, she's not a sister, but in that season, she's still my favorite) Runner up - None Season 8 - Paige Runner up - None Season 9 (for those who read the comics) - ALL FOUR! Season 10 (for those who read the comics) - NONE! If anybody wants to do their listing in one of these ways, go for it! |

I've never personally got actor and character mixed together. I try to separate them. It's interesting to see how much our opinions change as we grow and mature. I think Piper is generally thought of as being the lead of the entire series overall - plus people really seem to love the Piper/Leo "great love" storyline that defined so much of the show. I really do like Piper but I love Holly more. She seems to be the only unproblematic actress in the show. To be fair I don't think Alyssa is very problematic but she seems to be involved in some issues as it pertains to Shannon/Rose. |
