Perhaps there are different versions of Hecate and Charmed portrayed one of them.

Piper, because she deserved it. I said in another thread, how she was my role model growing up. When she married Leo and had children she became exactly the person I never wanted to be when I get married. So I would pick her, so my memory of her stays intact if she died in season 3.
Prue and Phoebe had a very good sisterly relationship if they were conflicted or got on well. So seeing Piper die, would be a good story. I would like to see how they go on without her.

Piper at her worst always seemed so much worse than anyone else. I didn't really mind Prue when she was still pretty cold and distant. And when Phoebe was obsessed with men and having a kid, it was just really annoying. But Piper turned so incredibly whiny and snippy that I don't know why anyone wanted to be around her at all. Even before getting married and having kids, she was starting to turn into this person. She was incredible in seasons 1 and 2, and still 3 somewhat. I wish she had stayed that person. I always liked how Prue and Phoebe had to work together. The tension between the two of them combined with the fact that they did love each other was always fun to watch play out.

That is true, Phoebe I found annoying when she was always desperate for a man or a child. But Piper just was the worst, and at least at times I found the Phoebe I loved was back in the odd episode or two. But with Piper, she got to a point that I was cheering for the demons to kill her, yet she always was the one sister who somehow survives on a number of occasions. Guess they were mocking me. LOL I just don't know what happened to Piper. She was a completely different person earlier on compared to the one later. Maybe the writing team that wrote her the best disappeared, and they didn't keep consistency and they always ended up out of character too often. Maybe the consequences for bringing Piper back to life in Awakened and Coyote Piper altered her in a way. LOL Maybe that is a way to explain the sisters change, the constant resurrections never fully brought the sisters back completely. The more you die and come back over and over, you never come back completely you. The show always made a point about personal gain and consequences, maybe they did have some consequences with how many times they came back to life. A fun little explanation I made up to explain things.

And since Piper died the most often and came back to life the most often, of course, she was the one who changed the most - and all of it for the worst. I'd add that to your theory - they became worse each time after they died. I really never like Piper after she died in 'Awakened' -she *so* should have stayed dead after that!

WOW - what a great theory. Love this olga halliwell! With the amount of times Piper died, it is no wonder she was the worst. Your right Es. I'm glad Prue died when she did then and wasn't resurrected.

I'm glad you liked it Es! Yes, I can subscribe to that theory - that they get worse each time after they died. Piper really did change for the worse after Awakened. Always wondered how Piper would of been like if Leo had left forever after P3 H20. If Leo never came back, I think her and Dan may have ended still. He couldn't accept magic and Piper's life. Mark was a good match for Piper, and they had a good thing with their shared interests. If only Leo had stayed the handyman, and that is it. And changed the story, so Mark came back as a whitelighter.

I've been thinking about it and decided I changed my mind with Mark coming back as their whitelighter. Despite their wonderful chemistry (which Piper didn't have with Leo) and their shared interest in food, I still prefer Piper with someone who's not magical so she won't whine so much about not having a normal life.

I have to admit dears that Mark would be a fantastic life partner for Piper, but I would much prefer him being non magical. I'm not so sure she *could* still be happy, and she might still whine about not having a normal life regardless. Even if I think Mark was a better match for Piper than Leo, with chemistry. So perhaps Piper was better off with someone like Andy or Henry dears. So sadly, unless they rewrote Dead Man Dating almost immediately after seeing the chemistry, and kept him alive somehow. I guess it just wouldn't work out.
But this is the fun of fanfictions dears. We can write and pair couples up with whoever we feel worked best and fitted better.

You both have made me rethink what I said, I guess I just liked Mark and Piper better, but Piper might not have suited being with someone magical. At least had Piper not been with a whitelighter, then we get no hybrid children and children who are just witches.

I would love to read a story where Mark was around and was just the true love Piper deserved and a non magical or ghost. I think Piper would be so much fun if she was with someone like Mark and built her empire restaurant after season 1.

People came back from the dead so often in Charmed - too bad Mark couldn't.

I agree. He would've been a very nice fit for Piper even if I couldn't really see him in the later seasons. But 1-3 he would fit right in. Its to bad that they didn't try to tie in that story longer. But I guess with the plans to kill off Andy, they didn't want to repeat themselves

I'll stick to the original power of three thank you. But If I had to pick anyone I might pick Piper, because I wasn't too high on what became of her. Didn't like the way she treated Leo. I was very happy that she and Leo got to start their family in season 5, but after that, it went to hell.

This is going to sound awful but Piper. I loved Prue and Phoebe's bond as sisters the most in the original seasons and while I'd miss Wyatt and Chris, it'd be fun if they were Phoebe's kids. I always liked the idea of Phoebe/Leo if Piper did die.

At least there'd be no moaning of wanting s normal life or Leo being treated like a lapdog I suppose if that happened obviously.

I always liked the idea of Phoebe/Leo if Piper did die. I think Prue and Phoebe's relationship was very realistic. Like most siblings, they don't always have to agree on everything and get along all the time. But I found them very fascinating to watch and grow over the course of Seasons 1-3. The biggest thing we missed out on was a Season 4 with Prue around during Phoebe's arc as Queen of the Underworld. Seeing Prue breakdown with Phoebe going dark, after already losing Piper would be very interesting to watch. The Charmed reboot looks on paper to have a Paige/Prue/Phoebe pairing with this new set of sisters. We'll see.
