Piper obtains her power of combustion in the episode "Exit Strategy." Which makes no sense IMO. It should have gone from oldest to youngest. But Phoebe got her power of levation before Piper. |

i know piper is the older in the famliy when prue died and phoebe is the second sister and the last sister is u know who it is right and tell me k i know who the last one but i want 2 no if u no who the last one is k

I think their powers advance when each sister is ready for them to advance.
Phoebe was meant to get levitation when she did, because she needed an active power to face the upcoming Belthazor threat (Prue and Piper each already had an active power).
Piper was meant to acquire the power of combustion when she did, because Prue was destined to die in a matter of weeks, and Piper needed a power boost so she could take over as the oldest sister.

Phoebe's levitation power wouldn't help AT ALL for the fight against Belthazor. I still think the levitation power was extremely lame and the producers should have talked Alyssa into liking a much cooler power. Perhaps she could have regained her past life's power.  |

Of course it could. She could have levitated out of the way if Belthazor came after her, rather than having to rely on hand-to-hand combat.
Alyssa probably used her power behind the scenes (knowing she was hot property) to gain what she wanted based on her whims.

But flying? I honestly don't see the big attraction to that ability. There are so many more awesome powers. Plus, flying is an extremely expensive power, is it not? Piper's powers are far cooler, if you ask me. |

I also agree that Piper has the cooler powers (especially freezing), but we don't know what was running through Alyssa's head back in 2000.
As time passed (and the budget needed to be rearranged), in later seasons perhaps Alyssa outgrew that desire?

What I don't get is this; Prue has kick*ss powers that can send demons flying... Piper has kick*ss powers that can stop demons in their tracks and then blow them into a thousand little pieces.
But Phoebe.... well.... she can fly up and kick them in the head. This would obviously get in the way of Prue's demon flinging power and if Phoebe's too close to Piper's blast, she may get demon ash on herself.
Why didn't Alyssa want the powers she had in "Morality Bites" (the weird electrical thing)?

Maybe Alyssa forgot about it, or didn't pay much attention to that scene? *shrugs* I still think she probably just liked the idea of getting to fly.  Also, the ability to actually throw electricity would seem to be a power advancement for Phoebe a lot farther down the line. Clairvoyance --> Levitation --> Empathy --> Electrokinesis |

if I was gonna have any of there powers I would love to have pipers, the freeze power would be great if you r running out of time lol or if you have had enough of someone you could just freeze them lol I know of a few people I would like to freeze lol

piper is amazing! she is the best character on the show! she doesso much and still makes the time to help innocents. props to her! too many reasons to type!! i agree with so many people's opinions on this board! she completes the show!!!

if piper had died instead of prue i would have been absolutely devestated!! and it seems to me like she is the most popular character! and definitely the best ever!!!

If Piper would've died, Charmed would've died for me after season 3. In that respect, I understand when Prue fans say the show was not the same after she died. For me, Charmed without Piper, isn't Charmed or even worth watching.

i agree with most of that
i think pheobe actually had the biggest hurt but piper was a great mother,lover,and sister
piper is deffinly and will always be my favorite
