Before i saw piper on charmed i was never really into supernatural stuff........but one day i was sitting on the coach and the TV came to the channel charmed was on......i started watching it and wasn't all that interested until i saw piper.....she holds the show together........she is definitely my fav charecter......after i watched charmed for the first time (witch was in the middle of season 7) I wanted to see more so i went out and got all the videos and if it wasn't for piper i never would have..................anyone who doesn't like piper is nuts.......she's a perfect role modle.........she's a sister, a wife, a mother ans eventually a grandmother....she also has excellent taste in men...

That's funny because the same thing happened to me. I had never seen the show but knew of it's existance because of Alyssa Milano and Shannen Doherty, whom I knew from other shows. One Sunday night I sat down to watch tv and Charmed was on. I recognized Brian Krause from Sleepwalkers and Return to the Blue Lagoon (I've had a crush on him since those days, yes I am that old) and decided to stick with the show for that night. Out of nowhere came this tiny brunette woman whom I had never seen that instantly had me in stitches with her dry sense of humor and facial expressions. I fell in love with the show because of Piper and definitely because of Holly Marie Combs. After the episode was over, I ran to the internet to find out more about this actress that I had never seen but loved so much in just one episode.

At first, I liked Pheobe because of liking her Character on both Who's the boss growing up and liking her Character on the Joey Buttafucco TV movie. As I watched more and more of the show and after Piper became pregnant with Wyatt, that is when I really fell in love with her. As a mother myself I would love to have the ability to protect my child with magical powers. Maybe I would have felt the same way say if it were Paige that had the charmed children earlier in the show rather than Piper  That is just what attracts me to her character...not only her great, protective motherly instinct but her devotion to her husband and sticking through thick and thin with him. |

Coincidentally, when I started watching the show it was during season 5 too. I don't know if that influenced my opinion (specially since I don't have children yet) but I felt instantly that I could relate to her.

So I'm not the only one that started with season 5, eh? I think had it not been for Piper, the show woulda crashed and burned had it been Prue, Phoebe and Paige, IMO. As much as I love Paige, Piper was one of the main reason I put up with the last two season of the show. And I am not really fond of the first three seasons (feel they were too Prue-ish IMO) but watch them anyway's cuz of her.

Piper is the best because she is so very funny and quick witted, She makes the absolute BEST faces, and she is so down to earth... makes you really connect with her..  |

piper was, no contest, the best charmed one there was. she wuz sarcastic and loved her family more than anything. piper is definitly my favorite character. when i saw her in the first episode i watched, lost and bound, i just liked her personality from the very beggining.

MY FAVORITE EPPISODE FOR PIPER WAS HELL HATH NO FURRY WEHN SHE TURNED INTO A FURRY AND SHOWED SOME TRUE EMOTION AT THE CEMETARY WHERE PRUE LIES IT WAS UNDERSTANDABLE FOR HER TO BE UPSET I MEAN SHE WAS ALWAYS THE MIDDLE SISTER AND NOW SHE HAS TO TAKE ON THE JOB OF ELDEST SISTER SHE FELT ABANDONED BETRAYED WHEN REALLY IT WASNT PRUES FAULT I MEAN SHE DIDNT WAKE UP AND SAY "HEY I THINK ILL DIE TODAY" BUT IM GETTING OFF TOPIC I JUST THINK IT REALLY SHOWED PIPERS TRUE COLORS AND THE FACT THAT NOT ONLY IS SHE A POWERFUL WITCH BUT GUESS WHAT GUYS SHES HUMAN TOO WITH REAL HUMAN EMOTIONS AND FEELINGS AND I THINK SHE DID A GREAT JOB WELCOMING PAIGE AND BECOMING THE OLDER SISTER YOU GO GIRL !

Yeah it took her a while to welcome Paige but only because she didnt want to get hurt. When she did she did it in a good way. She was kind of tough but that was how prue was so I guess thats where she got it from. I love Piper in every episode. She is amazing and will alwasy be the BEST!

I liked Piper a lot, but I never saw her character as a reason to become interested in the supernatural.
I don't think so. And the odd thing is that I don't think it was Rose McGowan's fault.

That depends on the seasons you're looking at: pre-Paige, post-Prue, pre-motherhood, post-motherhood.
Generally, she complains an awful lot and has a martyr complex.
