Some one once told me that if you could find the irony in situation, you could find goodness at work in our world."Ok Mister," Phoebe talked directly at Coop, "How much of this world do you know?"
"Why Phoebe," Coop protested, "What on earth could you ever mean?"
"I think he protests too much," Paige countered, "Out with it."
Henry snorted and tried not to laugh out loud but failed, "I think they're on to you," He finished.
"Hey," Coop protested, "I shared that with you to help ease the transition with Paige."
All three girls were dumbstruck watching the banter between Coop and Henry.
"Shared," Paige finally snapped out of it, "What did he share, honey?"
"Well, let's just call it a 'Vision of Two Weddings' starring you, Paige, and me," Henry explained, "The first one I remember which took place in the Catholic Church where you were left at birth. It was a quite large affair with over two hundred guests. The other was held right here in this house in the sun room, and I'd be surprised if there were twenty people at the second one, but the only people who were at both weddings that are not in this room were Leo and Billie. Leo, I can understand, but how did you know Piper's nanny in the other universe?"
"What?" Piper piped in surprised, "Are you talking about Billie Jenkins?"
"Yes," Henry answered; now it was his turn to be surprised, "You act as if that would be a problem?"
"It would be," Piper stated, "As she tried to kill us with her sister in the other universe so to speak."
"Well here, she watches Wyatt and Chris when you're working at your restaurant and club to support her going to school at San Francisco State. She's kind of a celebrity after finding her sister Kristy who had been kidnapped over fifteen years ago. I'm surprised that she still works for you after the District Attorney took the Jenkins sisters under his wing."
"District Attorney?" Phoebe asked, "Who's the district attorney and why would he take as interest in a kidnap victim unless he was prosecuting the culprits."
"No, they never had any leads on the kidnappers," Henry continued, "The story did seem a little strange to me that a girl kidnapped in Nebraska could be found in San Francisco fifteen years later just walking around the streets in the Tenderloin by her student sister not five months after she got to the city. There were just way too many missing details in the story for me to buy it at face value. Even the media were starting to question the story claiming that it was a hoax or a prank until..."
Coop forcefully interrupted Henry's story, "Enough of that now, we''l get back to it, but let me fill you all in on some details of your lives here. Paige, you're a full fledge social worker, and you're going to have to do some homework to catch up on your cases. Phoebe, you're still an advice columnist at the Bay Mirror which needless to say not all your columns are the same in this verse. Piper, you are the owner, manager of a restaurant, night club."
Leo walked into the room and smiled at everyone, "Sorry about before, but you all surprised me by being here. Piper, why aren't you at the restaurant?"
"I had something important to talk to my sister's about," Piper answered quickly, "But we're slowly working things out."
"Well that's good," Leo said, "Because I'm missing play time with the guys."
Piper looked at Leo questioningly, but Leo just ran into the conservatory. The group heard Wyatt yell tickle fight and Chris squeal with delight. Before long, all three of the guys were laughing with joy.
"Oh," Piper gasped with a smile on her face and a tear in her eye, "At least some things never change."
"Yeah," Phoebe agreed, "But you still haven't answered my question, who is the District Attorney?"
Henry looked at Coop for a cue, but Coop spoke, "You're going to want to sit for this."
"No, I'm not," Phoebe insisted, "Just answer the damned question."
"Cole Turner," Coop answered sheepishly.
All three sisters were stricken and found the nearest place to sit whether a couch or a chair.
See, I told you that you were going to need to sit," Coop quipped.
"What?" Henry asked, "What's wrong? Cole is an awful good District Attorney. He's done a lot of good cleaning up the streets of crime and corruption. There's even talk of having him run for State's Attorney General. The only flaw I can see in him is that he is a little bit of a control freak."
"Phoebe, before you jump to conclusions," Coop picked up where he left off, "You never married him, so you never divorced him. All the bad stuff you remember never happened hear."
"Is he still a demon then?" Paige asked.
"No," Coop answered, "You have to give him a chance because in this reality he's done a lot of good."
"Easier said than done," Phoebe admitted, "But I willing to face this brave new world and judge it anew."
Coop looked at the other two sisters and they nodded in agreement.
"Good," Coop stated, "I think that we have done enough for one night."
Henry got up and offered his hand to Paige, "I think we should take our leave. We have some catching up to do."
"Sure, ok," Paige said as she took Henry's offered hand and went and hugged her sisters good-bye, and they took their leave.
"Ok," Phoebe said as she stood up, "Do I still have my condo?"
"Yes," Coop answered, "And I still live in the unit above yours. Even your minis parked out front here in its usual spot, could I catch a ride home with you?"
Phoebe gave Piper a long hug good-bye before departing with Coop. Piper walked into the conservatory where Leo was still playing with Wyatt and Chris.
The front door could be seen closing from the inside, but no one could tell if it was just Coop and Phoebe closing it behind them or if it was magic.
THE END
I have a sequel to this if anyone would like me to share. It starts the very next day after this fairytale ending. Just how happily ever-after is it really going to be.
