Cleaners are introduced and piss off the charmed ones so much that their solution is to keep exposing magic until they listen to them. And oh crap piper erases the bridge which probably had hundreds of cars on it at the time
Wyatt conjures a dragon and also orbs all over the place and wields ex calibur and actually kills someone. What better reason to bind his powers more for his safety in case perhaps he orbs into traffic.
We never really find out what really turns wyatt evil
And phoebe. Her empathy powers instead of using it to help people get though their feelings she uses it to further nosey into other people's affairs and to give advice to people wether they want it or not including her sisters You can let that help you decide if you want to watch it or not... I guess I like to read about people knocking Charmed, not watching people knocking Charmed, so I like finding out about what she said through things like this. |

Oh boy, with me as a Chris fan it's...............stunning to see that but I can live with that, I think. You always reminded me of the inconsistence here and so many contradicting things. Jesus, I even got a headache too. At least, the final could save a bit. *phew*  |

Hi there. So I've been reading these boards as a Guest for a while now, but as soon as I saw this particular thread, I knew I had to sign up just to reply. I find Lupa's Charmed Manic Episode's really funny. It is nice to see a favourite show of mine torn to shreds, because it can be boring to only read/watch positive reviews of a show. Besides, when she does her Piper voice, how can you not laugh?  I cannot wait for her to do the next two seasons. |

Oh, it will probably work; I just couldn't find the link anywhere. But that's okay because I only had enough time to read Season 8's anyway. I've discovered I like the shorter reviews much more than the long ones - like Charmed itself, the long ones repeat the same things over and over and I get the feeling that Lupa likes those seasons just about as much as I do...which isn't much. Some of it I laughed at, a lot I was bored by, so I'm not really sure if I want to watch S7. By far my favorite of the last bunch was the part on Forever Charmed, just because she said the same things I've been saying since that horrible mess first aired. No doubt her reviews have made me like Billie more, hate the sisters more, and wish that Cole had never been part of it more. Not that I think that him not being part of it would've made Phoebe a more likeable character (Alyssa took care of that the way Holly took care of Piper....if indeed Lupa is right and Alyssa and Holly *weren't* just producers in name only...but it sure would explain how they constantly tried to make their faults seem like good things or that they'd earned being that way after all they had done....), but then I wouldn't have had to be reminded of it over and over and over and over and over and over and....well, you get the message... No, my favorite part was that final montage to "How Soon is Now?" Can anyone download that and put it on youtube? Then I could watch it at home. I particularly liked the fact that in that one Season Eight is totally ignored - oh, I wish that was the truth! |

I didn't notice that season eight was completely ignored in the montage, but I have only watched the review the once. Maybe she ignores it because the review itself was based on season eight so no more season eight clips were necessary.

I didn't watch all the reviews, mostly for seasons 7 and 8, because they are too long, and she nitpicks too much. On the other hand, she is right about a lot of things, and watching her videos just further sheds light on how inconsistant and narrow-minded the show is, which is really sad and makes it kind of hard to rewatch it.

I preferred her reviews of the early seasons. They were short and to the point. I mean the later ones were TWO HOURS LONG!
And it seemed that she wasn't having fun anymore, rather she saw it as a chore. She vowed to do all of Charmed, and so she was going to do it, whether she enjoyed it or not.
I have to give her kudos for soldiering on, reviewing a show she clearly hated. However, her earlier reviews were the better ones, IMO.

I thought her reviews of Seasons 1-2 were overly harsh and poorly-researched. Plus, they were almost too short, so neither season was covered all that well. I think she struck the best balance with Seasons 3-5. She went more in-depth and clearly put in the effort and the research, without any of the reviews dragging on for too long. And, she was clearly still having fun in these reviews. Seasons 6-7 were her worst. This was the point where she was clearly starting to get bored, so the reviews dragged on forever, and her criticism became increasingly more hateful. (I'll still never forgive her for the potshot she took at Charmed Sons fans at the start of the Season 7 review.) In-depth research also seemed to be thrown out the window, as her reviews became more and more riddled with inaccuracies. Season 8 still had all the same flaws as Seasons 6-7, but it was slightly better only because the season, itself, was so horrible that it would've been impossible for Lupa to screw up that review. |

Yeah, those seasons were full of Critical Research Failures.
And that snarky comment at the Charmed Sons fan was a cheap shot, I agree. What the hell, Lupa?

I still find it odd how her Season 8 review didn't have a SINGLE mention of the planned Billie spinoff. You know, like, the biggest reason for the existence of Billie and Christy to begin with?
And, her going on about how "Charmed was renewed for Season 8 because the WB became the CW" was hilariously false. The CW wasn't even ANNOUNCED until January 2006, when Season 8 was already halfway over. It had nothing to do with Charmed's last-minute renewal in 2005.

By her Season Eight review, she wasn't even trying anymore. Seems she just wanted to get this done as fast as possible, facts be damned.
