I'm thinking Coop is the one that won't survive after #5 alot of people dislike Coop cause he's boring and brings nothing to the show and it's not the Phoebe/Cole fans alone also #6 Will O Wisp Phoebe is the one on the cover with the summary talks about a tragic loss and one of the charmed ones takes a trip cross country and meets a Will O Wisp. Besides in the flash forward of Forever Charmed Wyatt didn't recognize Coop until Piper gave Coop his ring back and then he blurts it out loud so it's possible he's not around in the future. Plus we only see Piper and Leo old in the future not Paige and Henry or Phoebe and Coop, also Phoebe doesn't live in an apartment in the comics she has a house. The future isn't set in stone. Walking Dead TV show doesn't always follow the cannon of the comic books cause some of the characters in the show are either not in the comics or they die early on plus the storylines have changed like Terminus was supposed to be a season whereas the show had it for a like 4 or 5 episodes and then how they get to Washington is gonna be different. I'd be very disappointed if they didn't follow canon that much - after all, we've been stuck with all of those kids because Paul Ruditis said that's what we saw in the flashforward - and all three of Phoebe's daughters in the flashforward are obviously Coop's - while the new writer, Pat Shand, said that Phoebe's third child won't be part of this season (which makes sense since in the flashforward it's obvious the other two are a number of years older). If Piper only had Wyatt and Chris, Phoebe only had Ladybug and Paige had no kids, then I wouldn't be disappointed that they went off canon;, in fact, I'd be delirious, especially if they had used the first issue to make it clear that that flashforward was just Piper's delusion while she was in a coma for five years after she almost died in "Kill Billie, Vol 2." because that would make it clear that they aren't going to follow canon. But since we *are* stuck with all of these kids, and especially because in the comics I like Phoebe and Coop as a couple MUCH more than Phoebe and anyone on the show with the exceptions of Cupid and Drake, I really hope they stick to canon even if it kills the drama, knowing that everyone will surive - or at least until Phoebe and Paige's kids are around five or six - we have no idea if they died later on - we just know that Piper and Leo will grow to be old and at least one of their kids will survive long enough to give Piper and Leo a lot grandchildren. I don't like Cole in the comics at all (and I did like him in "The Seven-Year Witch" while liking him in Season Three, but not liking him in Season Four and hating him in Season Five) while I really do like Coop and how they're using him in the comics - and I hated him during the TV show and hated more how they used him during the TV show (a self-centered cupid who made Phoebe an even worse PhoeME than she was before? Give me a break!)- the one I don't like in the comics is how they're using Henry - and he's the one I loved during the TV show. Actually I'm wondering if the loss that we're going to see is Phoebe's third child...at least for now...maybe her second son (first was the Phoetus...). If they do kill off Coop and do match up Phoebe and Cole, I'll stop reading the comics, just like I will if they break up Paige and Henry. If they break up Piper and Leo, I'll CHEER! |

Something like that. Wouldn't mess with the flash forward. You're right that that would keep it consistent, but IMOHO, it would be way worse. The funny part about that is that in one of the fanfics that I helped out on, we had Coop actually be Cole - after what he did with Drake, the Elders promised to let him go on to the afterlife if he could help Phoebe find love so she'd stop constantly thinking about just herself and trying to find the man who will provide the sperm so she can have Ladybug.. But for him to look like Coop but actually be Cole...*shudder* Hopefully if something like that happens, they use the athame to bring Coop back to life (as if a cupid can die unless by a demon of hate breaking up his couples...) and they use the athame to free Cole so he can go on to the afterlife and never be seen again. |

Pat Shand explains that if your stabbed by the ancient athame your dead,no coming back to life your soul is destroyed. And Coles not going anywhere since Pat loves Cole.

*sigh* Well, with the way Pat has written Cole so far, something tells me I've bought my last comic. *sigh* And I've so enjoyed them. oh, well.
Hope you continue to enjoy them.

Just a quick add that I've got the next two issues and really don't like the direction they're taking it - and I think next issue is going to be even worse. In the second issue I was positive that they were going to try to match up Cole and Prue, but now it appears that they're going to try to match up Cole and Phoebe - an idea I don't like one single bit! Art-wise is okay - you can tell who's supposed to be who and sometimes the images are very good, but not most of the time - I prefer some of the earlier artists. What I don't like is they're giving Piper red highlights in her hair and I can never remember Holly having those. Best of all, so far no sign of any of the kids - they're all off at Cupid's Whatever where they're safe and out of sight. The first two "seasons" featured them much too much for me. I'd prefer if Piper had the boys, Phoebe had Ladybug, Paige had already adopted Henry Jr. and that was it!  ). |

That should bring you to the "Create Post" screen with the message you're quoting already printed there, with the quote tags already included. Then just type your reply. When you're done, there's a "Create Post" button down in the lower left hand corner of the message. Hit that and it will post it for you. If you want to preview your post before posting it, just hit the "Preview" tab at the bottom of the "Create Post" page. Hope that helps, and hopefully ProBoards isn't giving you troubles. |

Ever since I read this, it's been bugging me, and I've finally figured out why - another way of proving that doing that would go WAY off canon (and again if we didn't get stuck with all the kids, I wouldn't care - I don't want that flashforward to be the truth.) But it would be off canon with Forever Charmed itself. Much as this scene totally made me want to puke, it proves that no way Coop could be Cole looking like Coop: Source: charmedscripts.tv/forever_charmed.htmNo way that would describe Cole and Phoebe! Even Wyatt calling him "Uncle Coop" (and family would know that he's really Cole) tells you that, no, Cole is not Coop in disguise. So again if that happens, I'll stop reading the comics. |

Well, I just got a call from my local comics shop (I always get a kick that it's called The Source - so I get to go to The Source for my Charmed...), and the next issue is in. So I'm going to go get it today to find out what Pat Shand is up to. As I said, if he's getting rid of Coop and matching up Phoebe with Cole but he doesn't get rid of all of the extra kids so it's only Wyatt, Chris and Ladybug, this will be my last comic.

I think I don't have to worry about spoiling to say that YIPPEE!! The gravestone is for COLE not Coop, so I don't have to stop buying comics. I don't have to worry about Pat Shand breaking up Phoebe and Coop or matching up Prue and Cole. Here's hoping that that this is the last we see of Cole - it would be his best ending - going into aloneness after having saved Phoebe.
Oh, that would be SO nice! And if it's going to happen, it sounds like this would be that issue...
So next week already? I'll have to go get it then.

Of course just about when I think I know what's going to happen in the comics, something else happens.
*sigh*
For all my joy and delight, I very much doubt the next issue will be the last we see of Cole Turner.
*sigh*
Just for all that other fan was so certain that they were going to get rid of Coop because of how bad he was on the show (which he was) when Paul Ruditis made him and Phoebe the perfect couple in the comics while Cole was turning into the male version of our favorite whiner, Piper, even more than Chris was - and they made him even WORSE in this issue - I was getting ready to barf during his conversation with Phoebe, and if indeed they got rid of Coop, I was going to burn the issue and the other ones from Season 10 - no, not sad to see him go at all! His fate is the fate I could easily wish for Piper.

Of course it's not a positive ending - it's a very negative ending, which since all he's been trying to do is break up the only good couple in the comics - Phoebe and Coop - is perfect! Yeah, this whole development teasing the return of Phoebe and Cole's relationship has got to stop. Especially from what I'm reading about the last issue, where it seems they actually did have him do the "what if we tried again" deal. Which is bad and backwards and does nothing but pander to fans of the couple. That said, he did sacrifice himself to save Coop, so I doubt I can say he's actively TRYING to break them up. Also, he did get stabbed by the Ancient Athame which is supposed to be able to destroy the essence of those it kills, meaning for the sake of continuity and to establish how dangerous the weapon is he still should get wiped out altogether (albeit slowly enough to reflect on his life, it seems) rather than made to live lonely forever. …you know what? If that's what happens, I'm actually perfectly fine with it. And no, for anyone who asks, being fine with Cole ceasing to exist does not mean I'm no longer a fan of his or that I'm "not a true fan" or something. That means I think it makes a fitting ultimate impression on his character both at its best and otherwise which also plays perfectly into the story being told at the time. |
