Yeah from what I know this is one of the only Charmed forums actively going still amongst others I've seen online overall. The Charmed Reddit is pretty active, but I'm not a fan of the new direction it's taken, lately, but it is another option. I prefer the Cafe (here), though. Less toxic. |

Little bit about me:
I'm a pretty big nerd and I love being one! Other interests I have other than watching TV is D&D (huge fan of Critical Role), making resin dice, video games (I stream a bit with my partner if anyone is interested!), reading, and hanging out with the people I love! I've met several celebrities and I never get starstruck BUT in February I went to Pensacon and met Holly Marie Combs, Brian Krause, and Rose McGowan and I was a MESS meeting Holly, I was shaking and stuttering... partner laughed at me. She touched me voluntarily and called me honey, I weep.
I'm a queer, big girl, my partner is Enby and also queer, so I'm a safe place for anyone. I'm a little restless in life and I'm working on figuring out why. I just said goodbye to my dog, my best friend of 13 years and I'm still pretty wrecked about it. I'm also a cat mom. My next cat (unsure about getting another dog anytime soon) will be named Piper.
I used to be heavily involved in fandoms in my teens and early-mid 20s, I used to RP, write fanfiction, and was a member of several different forums for several different fandoms but it's been awhile, so please bear with me while I try and get back in the swing of forums and fandoms. I just miss talking to people online with similar interests as me! I hope to make some good friends here

Favorite Charmed character and why:
Piper 100% in my many years of watching Charmed that has never faltered. I love her character progression. I know a lot of people don't like her because she's mean and whiny in later seasons, but I have SO MUCH head cannon about why she developed that way and I very much relate to her. A lot of people IRL think I'm mean, too, so it works lol
Favorite Season:
I don't have 1 favorite season, but if I HAD to choose, probably season 3 Favorite Episode:
...I can't choose just one. Primrose Empath, The Good, The Bad, and The Cursed (Because of Alyssa's acting), Ms. Hellfire, Dead Man Dating, AND A LOT
How long have you been a Charmed fan:
I'm not sure, probably about 17 years. I found Charmed around 2003, I think. Before that, I remember watching TV late one night and seeing a snippet of the episode where they were practice on Leo getting Belthazor flesh (I can't remember the episode title off the top of my head at the moment) and I thought it was an interesting show and it took me a long time to find it!
Have you seen (a) every episode more than once, (b) every episode at least once, (c) most of the episodes, (d) fewer than half of the episodes?
Every episode more than once, I'm on my has to be 15th watch through now lol; and yes... I always watch season 8 through my rewatches.

Yes, a few times a year if I can! But I also rewatch Gilmore Girls a lot - so I alternate. Thsoe are my 2 favorite shows of all time, and yes they ARE extremely different.

Thank you!! I made it myself! I totally get what you mean. Sometimes it's nice to share your love of fandom with others. I don't really have any friends who like to talk about some of the fandoms I love at all. Since shows like Charmed or Buffy for instance have ended for so long most I know moved on. |

1. How long have you been a Charmed fan?
Since 1999. I caught the episode Feats of Clay because I had been a Shannen Doherty fan seeing her in a few mother things. I also remembered Alyssa Milano from Melrose Place.
I really enjoyed the show and kept watching for the rest of S1. However the switch to Thursdays was an issue and it clashed with my other commitments. So I ended up missing the other seasons. I finally watched again with Oh My Goddess and found Chris' character interesting. But I was though lying confused where Prue was and who the heck Paige was. And still kept wondering what happened to her. But I kept seeing similarities of Prue in Chris that I wondered if he was her son or Prue reincarnated. The twist with him being Piper and Leo's son felt a little predictable.
I watched through to the last episode. I managed to finally get to watch seasons 2-5 for what I missed on DVD when they started releasing them in 2005-2007.

I never was really in the Charmed fandom or any fandoms at all until a decade ago. I had lots of other commitments and really sitting in front of the internet was just not my thing as a teenager and in my 20s. I was more active with going out with friends, some video games, watching and playing sports. So anything fandom related was just watching them on television.
I did join a community online about other fandoms through Reddit. But I terminated my account for the toxic environment.
5. How do you feel about the finale and the way the show ended? (a) loved it, (b) liked it, (c) had mixed feelings, (d) disliked it, (e) hated it?
D. I felt it was a little too cheesy. Nothing that exciting happened. I really like lots of twists and turns. This one didn't really do anything that we didn't already see done before.

Hello zack and welcome to the board. As mentioned this week previously it's so nice seeing all the new members who've joined recently and getting their perspectives on what they thought of the show. I didn't get into message forums myself until 2006 when I joined this one which was my first. Another Smallville fan I see. I wonder if you've seen or are subscribed to either Michael Rosenbaum's own podcast series "Inside of You" or the Smallville rewatch podcast he's doing with Tom Welling called "Talkville"? Anyway, I hope you have fun and enjoy yourself here and I look forward to seeing what you write also of course. |
