It has been discussed on here quite frequently lately.
So what time travel episode is your favorite and why?

It has been discussed on here quite frequently lately. So what time travel episode is your favorite and why? Well, since 'Morality Bites' is my all-time favorite episode (even if I wish it hadn't been part of Charmed) then of course it would also be my favorite time-travel episode. But 'That Seventies Episode' and 'All Halliwell's Eve' are right behind it. I only voted for one, since I can't pick between those two.

I left out time loops and made this poll on actual time travel. Since time loops didnt see them going to an actual different period in time. Sorry mrmilano. But I did put in A Witch In Time which was time loop but when Piper traveled to the past, thats where my mind was at - time travel where someone actually travels to another period of time. Maybe time loops can be included on a new poll perhaps?

Mine is Chris-Crossed, it was such an amazing episode and I know the entire episode by heart.

Had to go with That 70's Episode, it was a Season One episode.
However, Chris Crossed runs a very close second in my books.
Interesting to note that, with the exception of Chris Crossed, all the later season episodes get a big fat zero.

Hard to beat "That 70s Episode" and "Morality Bites," although "All Halliwell's Eve" and "Chris-Crossed" aren't far behind.
On the other hand, "Witchstock" and "Forever Charmed" should've been sent straight to the shredder.

Just seeing Forever Charmed and Witchstock on that list with all those other fantastic episodes makes me cringe. Not even in the same league.

I loved "All Halliwell's Eve" and naturally "Chris Crossed" always. Others are not that far behind. It's just hard to choose.

Me too.
Did you know that Witchstock was the next episode after Chris Crossed?
They give us gold with CC, but the following week, we get the lump of turd called Witchstock? They really dropped the ball, didn't they.

I struggled to choose between 'Morality Bites' and 'All Halliwell's Eve' but MB clinched it because if the importance of the "lesson" in the episode.

Not even in the same league. hmm I would be curious to see if someone voted for those, how they would defend them. I respect opinions, but Witchstock is such an ugly episode, I choose to block that out from my memory and all the Grams parts.

The fact that 1967 Grams is twenty years younger than she should be. Yeah.
As I have said, Patty was supposed to have that part, but Finola Hughes was not available at that time.
Now, you would think that, one they knew that Finola was out, that they would just scrap the episode and film another. But noooooooo, they just plopped Grams into Patty's role and hoped that no one would notice. They were wrong, of course.
Kern must have blazed up a dooby himself when he said yet to this episode.

I mean even if they'd just cast a new actress to play Patty, that wouldn't have been a big deal for just a one off appearance.

It would have made a heck of a lot more sense then having Grams being twenty years younger than she should have been.

Even *If* Patty was in it. The actress in the 1960s would be a teenage Patty. No way could our Finola have been pull off the role as someone younger. Patty died in 1978, Patty was how old when she died? So your only bringing Finola back in place of Grams for the present day activities and aiding Leo and Chris.
Even then Grams in the 60s being recasted younger *still* made no sense. Jennifer played her in the 70s - a decade older.
They could of used Patty as she was suppose too in the 60s. And chosen to ignore using spirits in the present.

Do you have anywhere that shows that Grams was supposed to be in her 70's when she died? I always put her as in either her 50's or her 60's when she died in 1998 - which still means she should've been in her 30's or 40's in 1968. No way that Penny was that old. My explanation has always been that Chris and Piper weren't the only ones who did some time-traveling without the Elders' help... Somehow being a witch in the 60's - especially in San Francisco and the hippy movement - rather than the 40's/50's makes sense.
Patty had Prue in 1970 which is only a couple years after 1968, so I think Finola could've pulled it off. She just would've had to do what she did in 'Forever Charmed'.
And we'll never know for sure how exactly they planned on doing the episode, how similar or how different it would've been with Finola rather than Jennifer.

And we'll never know for sure how exactly they planned on doing the episode, how similar or how different it would've been with Finola rather than Jennifer. Im not sure. But the *Pardon My Past* family tree indicates Grams was born in 1930. WOW she was *37* in 1967. *45* in That 70s Episode. 67/68 at the time of her death in 1998. Jennifer was born in 1947. 56 when she was filming Witchstock. Could she pull off just playing Grams in Witchstock - she would go on to play a mid 40s woman in That 70s Episode which was 8 years later. I dont know, maybe not. Is that really accurate. So she was a teenager/early 20s and gave birth to Patty in the late 40s/early 50s. Making Patty a late teen in Witchstock. Fionla was born in 1960 (I believe unless thats wrong on Wikipedia), and about early 40s when Witchstock would be filmed. So she *could* maybe pull it off. Unless Grams was about 15 when she had Patty and Finola plays someone at least 10-12 years older than herself. So Patty say was born in 1947, that makes her 20 in Witchstock and 22/23 when Prue is born. But yeah Finola could pull it off with a wig. I think Grams being born in 1930 is pretty accurate to math up with Patty being born in early 1950s or even 1950 and then Prue born when Patty is 20 - So she died at the age of 28. Im probaly all wrong dears. But basing it off the family tree - This is *how* i came up with a rundown. Sorry to bore everyone with the details I have come up with.
