I did watch both "The Adventures of Lois & Clark" and partly (not all seasons) of "Smallville" since Superman is a great character. Yet I'm more influenced by the movies with Christopher Reeve, I think. Oh definitely Jana. Christopher Reeve was my Superman growing up and played him best whilst Tom was Clark whom I think he played better than Chris Superman obviously.

Mine too.
Still, Brandon Routh did a good job in Superman Returns. It was like he was channeling Reeve (who died a couple of years before Superman Returns came out).

I like Helen Slater as Eliza. But im surprised they didnt get Teri Hatcher for the role. Dean and Teri had amazing chemistry as Clark and Lois. Unless Teri wasnt available or wanted in. I would of casted those two as the parents of Kara and Alex.
I do hope we get Teri on. The fan in me so wants to see those two back together again.
I agree with you guys above. Brandon wasnt that bad as Superman. Even though i only seen the movie twice since it came out.

I actually thought that Superman with Brandon Routh was a great film. It had a very Earth 2 feel what with all the old style of dressing and the lighting. Though out of all the actors we've had playing Superman I have to concede that Henry Cavill looks the most like the comic book version of the character, I do hope that in his next appearance he gets to really show off his acting chops and becomes the Superman we all know and love.

Man Of Steel was WAY too dark for me. Yes, Superman won in the end, after half of Metropolis was destroyed and God knows how many were killed.
As I said, this is, IMO, why Marvel movies succeed and DC movies fail. Marvel is light and bouncy, DC is dark and depressing.

And now he's the Atom I think he's awesome in both roles. Superman Returns was the superior movie of the recent Superman movies in my opinion.

It sure was. It was a worthy continuation of the first two Reeve movies, IMO.

Me neither, it was a great film. They didn't need to reboot it into the gloomy Man Of Steel.

So Cw has confirmed the dates of the DC shows returning later this year.
Oct 4 - The Flash season 3 Oct 5 - Arrow season 5 Oct 10 - Supergirl season 2 Oct 13 - Legends of Tomorrow season 2
I am wondering why Supergirl is a week later? Then i remembered that supergirl has 22 episodes and the rest is 23.

I'm curious to see how they handle the changes to the situation on Legends of Tomorrow and if any of the characters that appear to be leaving the show will actually be involved in the show now that they have a new set of circumstances. Also is this new character going to be heavily involved in the next season? Or is he just a messenger?
I am so excited that Arrow is going into season five. In the flashbacks this is the year leading up to the events of the first season. I would really love to see Tommy show up in the flashbacks, again. I really liked his character and would love to see him, again. As they did the previous season, the season leaves the group divided and in different places. It should be interesting to see how they are brought back together and if all of them will return (I hope so).
The Flash has the potential to be very problematic, if not for the viewers, then at least for the characters, because of what Barry did. I know the whys to what he did, but I suspect the results are going to be bad.
It will definitely be interesting to see what is going on with that pod in Supergirl and what the plans are for officially bringing in Clark. One of my favorite parts of season one was when Win figured out who Superman was, because of James' slip of tongue. That was hilarious. I also really want to see more Dean Cain. I like the actor and I like the character. That is a good combination in my mind.

Laurel too, who I loved. Cant wait for more Dean Cain. He has to appear against Brandon and Tyler in a crossover with scenes.

They have the actors and they have established two of them as characters and will be establishing the third. Seeing as one is Kara's cousin and one is her foster father, those two could easily work together in a flashback, but to get Brandon in there we need a reason for a crossover with Legends that ends up on Kara's earth. Maybe a mess up with the time ship later in the season on Legends after they (on Supergirl) have (presumably) rescued Jeremiah Danvers.

And Superman finding Kara. Excellent idea. I like that.

Shame that Christopher Reeve is not still alive. They could have him on as well (he appeared on Smallville, one of his last roles, I believe).

Yeah, and considering he did appear on there, I bet he would have appeared on this. There is also Stephan Bender (young Clark from Superman Returns). I wonder if there is any role that they could put him into. Technically he didn't play Superman, but he did play Clark, so he still fits. I don't know what kind of actor he is, because he wasn't in much of that movie and that's all I've seen him in, but it still would be cool to add him since he did play Clark.

Im not familar with the actor myself. Lets not forget the Lois Lane trend where the previous version appears as Lois' mother. Lois' mother Ellen Lane on Lois and Clark was played by Phyllis Coates, who played Lois in the 1951 film Superman and the Mole Men, and during Season 1 of the Adventures of Superman series. Then the torch was passed in Smallville with Teri Hatcher playing Ellen Lane. So could Erica Durance play Ellen Lane in flashbacks on Supergirl. That would be cool and continue the trend. lol
