Something quite different from finals, premiers and mid season final polls.
Whats your favorite penultimate charmed episode and why. Which season had the best one leading into the final.

I may not like S8 but the episode for the final leads to it, along with the one of S7 and S4. In the beginning and for the rest of the seasons, those are more standalone episodes and so they don't count in, in my eyes. And two parters are not helping either.

"Love Hurts" and "Apocalypse, Not" for me. In retrospect, the former probably should've been Leo's final episode, while the latter definitely should've been Season 2's finale.

Same with me Loves Hurts, Apocalypse Not, and Womb Raider because this was when I liked Piper and Leo the best and the fact the Charmed Ones learnt a lesson in the second which I so hoped would've stayed on years afterwards with Piper and Phoebe at least because they were around then obviously and the third because it matched Phoebe's reason why she wanted to take the Angel If Destiny's deal firstly and Cole coming back from the Wasteland obviously.

Love Hurts, Apocalypse Not and Death Becomes Them (in that order). Process of elimination for the others... Look Who's Barking- I just think Piper and Phoebe get a bit too whiny in this one. Also sad that Prue's penultimate episode features so little of her in human form. Womb Raider- "The baby made me do it!" Necromancing the Stone- Grams' misandry suddenly becomes a huge thing. Witch Wars- Um, I'm really not sure where to start with this one. Just search for my season 6 recaps. Kill Billie Vol. 2- I actually think this episode is a massive snooze-fest until the last ten minutes or so.

Easy for a Piper/Leo fan and my vote goes to Love Hurts. Apocalypse Not is a close second for me.

Apocalypse Not, Kill Billie Vol. 2 and Womb Raider I agree Kill Billie Vol 2 would be the perfect final of Charmed, it'ld leave open all the hypotheses and the possibilities, now a reboot'ld be more simple Apocalypse, Not shows well-organized evil, serious and dangerous antagonists Womb rider shows how powerful Phoebe and Cole's son could have been

Love Hurts and Apocalypse Not for me. Didn't like any of the others enough to vote for them.

It seems like a lot of people have voted for Love Hurts and Apocalypse Not then which shows how much the early seasons still hope up in high regards to fans all these years later obviously.

It is great to see this. I guess that they are remembered more fondly than some of the later seasons.

I've always loved Look Who's Barking because the Phoebe and Cole angst really hits the spot The dog playing Prue was gorgeous and Piper was hilarious. But I wouldn't have guessed it was a penultimate episode if I didn't know. It's more like a standalone episode. It doesn't feed into the finale at all and it's a travesty that Shannen was barely in it. I voted for Apocalypse, Not even though it feels like (and should've been) the finale. I love it and it's the "best" episode on the list in my opinion. I guess functionally, Womb Raider is the best penultimate episode. It wouldn't have worked as the finale, it ties up story arcs, and it sets up for the next episode with the whole destiny thing. I just didn't particularly enjoy it.

Shannen wasn't in it much because she was preparing to direct the season finale for 'All Hell Breaks Loose'. Why Prue is always not in the episodes much before the ones Shannen directed. The only way they could not be forced to do that is if Shannen directed the opening episodes to a season. I really liked 'Apocalypse, Not'. Think it would work better as the season finale but as a penultimate episode, it is perfect.
