How would you reedit the opening credits?

If you could reedit the opening credits, what would you change? For me I would keep the shots of their powers before their name shots instead of the beauty shots

I was so disappointed when they didn't show shots of the sisters powers from Season 4 onward.

I can understand Season 4 because they wouldn't have had enough stock footage perhaps but certainly there was no excuse in Season 5 - 8. Maybe because the sisters kept changing their looks.

Season 8 is the most disappointing opening credits. With shorter shots.

May favourite opening credits is Season 3. So much more refined.

I agree totally. That's why Season Three will always be my favorite set of credits, even if Season Three isn't one of my favorite seasons - for me, it's the best of both powers and beauty - besides sisterhood, something else badly missing in the later seasons.



Besides showing Cole turning into Belthazor, I can't think of any way I could reedit and improve this one.

A small niggle, but it annoyed me when Piper didn't always get updated shots because she didn't change her hair as much. I would've liked all three of them to get new shots every season. Also, I agree about the power shots, they were indeed missed.

Watch that and they should have a good idea if they'll like it or not...

The main thing I would've changed is Holly getting billing over Alyssa.  Alyssa may have been the bigger name, but Holly had been a part of the show longer (remember that Alyssa wasn't a part of the original pilot), and Piper was older than Phoebe.  Holly should've been the first one in the credits from Season 4 onward.

As others have already said, I would have liked for the season 1-3 style to have been maintained, with power clips then the pretty name shots. For season 7 they could use clips of Phoebe making potions or fighting, I've seen some fan-videos do that to make up for her lack of powers.

I also would have liked more clips of the sisters together between credits for season 4-8. Like with season 3; you've got Prue and Piper behind the Book, Phoebe and Prue opening the door, the sisters using magic, the sisters looking out the window together, Prue reflecting an energy ball... a good mix of sister stuff and action. In seasons 4-8 you mostly just have like 20 clips of the triquetra and book.

There was (or is, they could still be around) a Youtuber called p3jojoba or something like that and they did their own openings for each season, which in my opinion kind of mixed the best of both styles. They'd use a power clip, a beauty shot, then the name; with clips of the sisters together in between.

Decided to remind myself of the season credits. In regard to 4-8....

I counted. Seasons 4-8 have 9 shots of the BOS and 11 shots of the triquetra.

For clips of 2 or more sisters together, the worst are s4 and s6- both with just 2 each.
The best, ironically, is season 8 (the version without Brian), with 5 shots of the sisters together.

I wonder if this added fuel to the "conspiracy to fire Shannen" ideas out there and Alyssa's supposed role in said conspiracy.  I mean she was billed third for the first three seasons.  Shannen gets fired, and bippity, boppity, boo, Alyssa gets top billing.   Alyssa helped get rid of her rival, and was awarded top billing as a result.

Of course, this is complete rubbish.  Alyssa got top billing because, after Shannen was gone, she was the most known star.  There was no conspiracy against Shannen.  Yet  many still out there believe this conspiracy existed.

Alyssa actually always had billing over Holly. The order always went top-billed first, last-billed second, and second-billed last. In the first three seasons, it was just a coincidence that the billing of the leads put the three sisters in "proper" order in the credits.

And, that was a problem to begin with. Why did Alyssa have billing over Holly when Holly had been there longer? Yes, Alyssa was more known than Holly, but so was Rose, yet she wasn't billed over her (and rightly so).

I must admit, when I first saw season 4, I was surprised to see Alyssa credited first. I had no idea about how billing worked back then and like many I just thought seasons 1-3 were in order from oldest to youngest sister. Even though that just happens to be the way the billing worked out for s1-3, I did prefer it. It seemed weird to me that it now went middle, youngest, oldest. Plus it seemed very odd to me that Rose was in the credits before Holly, even if she did get the "And" credit.

Has anyone on YouTube ever made s4-8 credits in the style of s1-3? I'd be interested in seeing that.

Other than the visuals, even though I love the original theme (the Netflix one, not so much), I wish they could've used a more fitting song. Like, just because The Craft used "How Soon is Now?" doesn't mean you have to too. XD

When I was trying to find a song to make credits for my spin-off series about Piper's boys, the thought that kept going through my head was that I needed something about "no normal life for you" basically. I don't know if it would fit with the girls, but they certainly weren't going to be able to manage an ordinary life. I have two sets of credits, because there is a "cast" change half way through the season.

When I first heard the song, I was like, "Hey, is that Lifehouse?" but it's Starfield, whom I've never heard of. I do agree with the lyrics, however.

I did consider using that song, but it didn't seem to quite fit, but it was, I believe, the song that made me start looking for the word ordinary rather than normal. It's a pretty awesome song. And this had me looking up the Avril Lavigne songs I have. My sister is a big fan of hers and I enjoy a lot of them including "Anything But Ordinary."
