Based on my earlier polls asking about each season, now a spin-off on each sister. So wondering about Piper Season 2.
What was your reaction towards Piper during Season Two the first time you watched her in the season and what is your reaction to her during season 2 today? Just choose one choice.

Since the first time I watched Charmed Leo and Piper were my favorite couple up to Season Six, I loved both of them the first time I watched it and cheered for both of them.
But each time I rewatch this season I dislike both of them more. Rather than guiding the Charmed Ones, Leo is more interested in getting into Piper's pants. And the way Piper treats both Leo and Dan is disgusting. As usual, a Halliwell in love is not a nice person.
The episodes where the guys aren't a big part of it, I totally love her, so I don't hate her in this season, but I definitely don't like her.
So I voted loved her and now dislike her.

I always loved and will love Piper She is a normal and generous young woman: she worked in the bank - work unsuited to her - to pay for the care of her grandmother, she helps the poor through the parish When she was tempted to accept the offer of the Angel of Destiny, it was mainly because of Prue's death and of her awareness of not being a leader She'll never be a leader, even when her power'll increase, Pipe'll be more sure but never a leader, it's not in her nature I was happy when she told she finally had her restaurant

Loved her now like her.
I don't hate her this season, I just don't particularly like her. If you take out the love triangle, then she is fun. I guess outside of her love story, shes the Piper I love.

Piper was my least liked sister overall in S2 while liking the other two better.
But liking Piper more when she was getting scenes with her sisters and them working together during each demon of the week episode, while not liking her during the love triangle storyline.

Es, I have a feeling you really don't want any of the sisters to find love They were young so of course sex would be important but I have always loved Piper/Leo. I was annoyed at the whole Piper/Dan thing though.

I think it comes down to the writing. Because the show just wasn't that great at writing longterm relationships. couples like Paige and Henry or Prue and Andy didn't get a chance to be ruined by poor writing because they didn't last more than a season.
I think Piper and Leo could have been written better. But by the time you reach Season 5, they are married and starting a family by then. They have reached their end-game already in five seasons. What else do they have left to do in the series? Too bad they didn't stretch out their love story, and not got them married in season 3. Maybe it would be better if they didn't get married or start having kids until much later.
I found it realistic that Phoebe wasn't in a long-term relationship in Season 1 and 2 because she was so young. I don't think she was ready for a longterm relationship when she was with Cole.
I hated how horribly she treated Dan, but didn't notice and just wanted her and Leo together. It wasn't until re-watches that I just didn't like that storyline at all, but loving everything else in the season.
I remember watching Season 2 when it first aired, at a young age with my parents (they were casual watchers, not fans), and they could not stand her at all. It really rubbed them the wrong way with how she treated Dan and Leo in season 2. Found it disgusting and nasty. I guess people's opinions are different for older viewers than younger as I was at the time.

I was annoyed at the whole Piper/Dan thing though. No, I wanted them to find love, but find love that made them better people, not worse. It's why I always wanted Prue to end up with Bane, Piper with Mark, Phoebe with Drake (or Kyra) and Paige with Henry. If you notice that all of these are short-term relationships it's because Kern never had a chance to screw them up.

Phoebe & Coop was pretty short too. I did like Piper and Mark and the only season I didn't like Piper/Leo in was S6 because Leo didn't seem to care that Piper slept with another man while being his wife.

I did like Piper and Mark and the only season I didn't like Piper/Leo in was S6 because Leo didn't seem to care that Piper slept with another man while being his wife. Yeah, Phoebe and Coop were short but Coop made Phoebe even more of a PhoeME than she was before and I could never like a couple where they make the other person a worse person. And after all of Phoebe's fantasy men, she needed a very hard slap of reality. If anyone remembers Rebecca on Cheers who always wanted to marry a rich man and ended up marrying a plumber, that's what I would've wanted for Phoebe - for her to find a real, live handyman who couldn't give her children (unless she ever grew up, she'd make a horrible mother, part of why I think the flash-forward in 'Forever Charmed' is just Piper's delusion as she dies after the explosion in 'Kill Billie, Vol 2) but would make the true baby of the family the center of his universe, the only way to keep PhoeME happy. Coop would be too busy with his charges to do that. Despite the crap Wyatt said about those two being one (oh, give me a break!) I think as soon as PhoeME got pregnant with Ladybug, she'd drop Coop like a hot potato. This is all totally different than what happens in the comics, but then the sisters in S9 are nothing like the sisters in S8 but more like how I wish they had been while still being stuck with all of them married and working on having 3 kids.

Not sure what you mean by that. I think Phoebe was a natural mother as mentioned in S2, so her not having kids would be OOC. I could see Paige never having kids because of her personality or having them later in the marriage. Prue too if she lived. But Piper and Phoebe are natural mothers. Probably why I like the second dynamic cause they both were protective over Paige.

Piper was my favorite character in season one when I first watched the show, but during season two Phoebe became my favorite. Now, I still like season two Piper, but I wish we could have gotten to see her more as a character before she became involved with Dan and Leo, and was basically in a relationship from that season onward. I think people are different when they're single than they are in a relationship, and it feels unfair that we didn't get to see as much of Piper as a single woman.

Funny, I loved Piper in love in Season One...I miss shy Piper who cared about innocents more than her family. I understand why she changed - after losing Prue, she didn't want to lose anyone else - but doesn't mean I had to like her for becoming a worse person rather than a better, stronger person after Prue's death. And, of course, by strong, I don't mean powers.

And, of course, by strong, I don't mean powers. I totally agree, albeit I grew weary of the Phoebe and Cole stuff in season three sooner and somehow Prue became my favorite seemingly out of nowhere that season (I was somewhat apathetic about her in the first two seasons my first watch through). There was something really charming about the Piper of season one who, despite her timidity and reluctance in being a witch, was nevertheless deeply empathetic and went out of her way to help innocents not because she felt that it was a duty, but because she felt for them as people who were suffering and whose burdens she had the ability to alleviate. I think her approach to Billy Waters in "The Wendigo" really emphasized this (and of course, Mark from "Dead Man Dating" absolutely can't be forgotten). Honestly, the connection she had with certain innocents was capable of making an episode that would otherwise be slightly meh instead stand out. I kind of grieve for this Piper we lost. I feel that her relationship issues in season two and three did damage, and Prue's death was the straw that broke the camel's back. First, she lost her guiding figure, and then she had to assume the position of "leader" with almost no bereavement time in-between in an attempt to keep together the whole Charmed destiny. It's understandable why she became brittle and bitter; I've been rewatching earlier episodes lately, and I've noticed that Piper seems to instinctively understand almost from the beginning that their Charmed destiny is going to lead to a lot of hardship, whereas Phoebe is optimistic about it and Prue doesn't really think much on their destiny other than how it impacts her life in the present.

You are absolutely right about that and I love S1 Piper more each time I re-watch S1, even as Phoebs remains my favorite. I didn't like Prue until 'The Witch is Back' - typical Es - I love how Sheryl J. Anderson wrote the sisters, especially Prue - and stopped liking her during Piper's wedding. She was on her way to becoming Poor, Poor Pitiful Prue (Kern's idea of what the Oldest should be like...see Piper in S4-8). I am SO glad she died in 'All Hell Breaks Loose' so I never hated her the way I end up hating Piper and Phoebe.

I am SO glad she died in 'All Hell Breaks Loose' so I never hated her the way I end up hating Piper and Phoebe. Phoebe was fantastic in the first two seasons. She had so much character development and I just really admired her attitude and values. (Also, I don't think she really spoke with that annoying baby voice until the third season, or at least not so much as to be noticeable.) Sheryl J. Anderson did some great work with characterization. I don't think I ever really disliked Prue, but I was lukewarm toward her for most of the first three seasons until I had an epiphany in the third season that she was my favorite (and I still have no clue how she became my favorite, especially considering that season three Prue isn't my favorite compared to her in earlier seasons), and there were definitely moments where I was just like, "ugh, Prue, seriously?" As much as Prue's death is a significant reason why I came to dislike later seasons, I'm in the same boat in that I'm glad she got out when she did, lol. I have difficulty reconciling the characters by the fifth season with who they were earlier, but I think there was more sensible progression (degression, really?) of Piper's character than Phoebe's.

Piper in season 1 was really a different person than she was throughout the entire rest of the show. I thought she was perfect just the way she was. She took care of herself, had a job, and was just as mature and smart as Prue, although their differences in attitude made Prue seem older and more of the one in charge.
There were moments when she could have stood up for herself more, but I honestly didn't even see that as a problem. Some people are just non-confrontational, and that's fine. She didn't have a problem working around other people at the restaurant, and self-assurance and self-confidence came through here and there.
And I also really liked her treatment of innocents. They were people who needed help, and she truly felt for them. She proved that she would put herself in danger for someone else.
I don't know why the writers thought that someone has to become jaded, cynical, and sarcastic in order to grow as a person. Piper was the best developed character at the beginning of the show with no real need to change who she was. By season 2 she was already changing for the worse.

Piper was such a different person in S2. I get change but it just really felt like her love triangle brought out the start of a bad side of her. But I'll forever wonder how her story would be if she never meet Leo and or Leo left fairly early.
She should have just opened her business and that been her love. Maybe if she did. The trip to the future would be Piper the working woman and Prue the mother.
