Thanks to rebooted for giving me this idea for a thread. What type of Charmed fan are you when it comes to how you watch or liked the show?

No worries craig! It's interesting to find out who likes what. And if future rebooters are following these threads, they'll know how to make a great one!
I picked Season 1 to 4.
I feel that there are four core groups of Charmed Fans
1) Hardcore Season 1 - 3 fans or 1 - 2 with some of 3 (35-40% on this board) 2) Hardcore Season 1 - 4 or half of Season 4 fans. (45-50% on this board) 3) Hardcore Season 1 - 6/7 fans with an emphasis on Season 6. (10-15% on this board) And 4) Softcore 'I Liked Charmed' Fans Season 1 - 8 (The population who aren't fans but enjoyed the TV series)
Fans liked the original 3 sisters but welcomed and warmed to Paige quite quickly.
Too many directional changes and intervention happened from Mid-Season 4 which rushed a storyline they intended to play with the original 3 sisters to give the story an ending. Basically they didn't think they were going to be picked up or renewed (as ratings were down from Season 3, and Rose McGowan was only signed on for 1 Season among other things.
Like Prue's departure and Paige's transition, the changed order of the sisters was accepted at first especially as Paige had her own identity leaving the dynamic being about 2 sisters who had grown up with each other and their relationship they had with their adopted out (baby) sister.
I mention baby in brackets because from the very beginning, one of the crutial successes of the show when it first started, other than the chemistry of the original leads, was the likeableness of Phoebe, or Fun Phoebe, the witch enthusiast.
From Lost and Bound and episode that followed, Charmed and Dangerous, something fundamentally changed in the show. The show started to concentrate on Phoebe as the tragic middle sister and the (forbidden) romantic relationships of the sisters (Phoebe and Cole on-top-of Piper and Leo) rather than focus on the sisters themselves who were all empowering icons of girl power and now whinny little witches.
Which is why I did pick Season 1 - 4 because I liked the set up of Season 4, Paige and the focus on sisterhood. Somewhere in the middle that get's tossed aside and comes back at the end of Season 4, which is my favourite story arc. Where for the first time, Piper and Phoebe are going at it and there's an outcasting of another sister, Paige.
Season 4, was the last time the sisterly relationship was at it's height. For me its where I would have preferred the show ending and I pretty much stayed until the end to see glimpses of the sisterhood, fun phoebe, the possibility of Prue's name being mentioned and the odd good storyline and special effect.

I picked 1-4, which is where I would have liked it to end. But I am torn, because that would have meant only one season with Paige, who is my favorite character and imo the highlight of post season five.

I picked seasons 1-4 as well. It was better in my opinion with the three original sisters, but Paige's first season was done really well. I liked her and she fit in well while retaining her own identity.
Season 1 was phenomenal to me. It was the most unique season of the show. Season 2 dipped in quality a bit, but at its heart, it was still Charmed. In season 3 they all started to change not for the better, and fundamental things about the core of the show started to morph. But overall I enjoyed it, and it still had the potential to rebound from the changes happening here. There are a lot of things I don't like about season 4, but the overall feel of this season is still Charmed.
I do enjoy parts of season 5, but there's much more I dislike about it. I don't even count seasons 6-8 and some of 5 as the show anymore. When people talk about Wyatt and Chris and Billie and whatever else of those seasons, there's an automatic separation of those events from the first four seasons for me. I respect what other people like, but for me, it feels like a completely different show. So it's 1-4 for me.

This is tough for me to decide. Some season's I only like parts or half of it. I will have to come back with my vote and choice. So I might end up voting for a mix of different seasons maybe.

I'm definitely Season One-Two, although actually Last Half of Season One and the First Half of Season Two - the only time I loved all three sisters. I didn't like Prue in the First Half of Season One or the Last Half of Season Three (only reason why I was glad she died or I'm sure she's the one who would've turned into the Power of One aka Poor, Poor Pitiful Prue, the way Piper did). I didn't like Piper once she chose Leo as her "one" - hated the way she treated both him and Dan. And I hated PhoeME during and after "Sleuthing with the Enemy". Didn't like a number of episodes during this time, the way I loved a lot of episodes after it (mainly the ones that were Paige-centric and not Cole-centric or Chris-centris or Billie-centric) As soon as it was all first all about PhoeME and Cole and then all about Piper and her family, I no longer liked it and only watched it because that is what I did.

Like Es it is Season 1 and 2 for me too dears. I didn't like it it shifted to being about PhoeME, Piper and her family but I watched to join my daughter and granddaughter watching still. I may have loved many episodes after season 2. But Season 1 and 2 were Charmed for me.

I liked parts of some seasons after season 4. But for me when I enjoyed Charmed the best with Season 1 - 4 overall, even if some parts of 3 & 4 I didn't like. I could handle Charmed ending after 4, and never seeing 5-8. I see a separation of Charmed in 5-8, even if I think the separation comes during season 4. It just so happens, that the carry over storylines from 3, make it still feel like Charmed.
I voted Season 1, 2 and 3 in the end.

A mix of seasons, I donot like the Cole aspect of Season 5 and I want to get over with that part of the season now that im on season 5 in my rewatch, becuase it is my 2nd fav season after Season 2. And Season 4, 8 and 3 are among my least favs. So my favorite seasons in no particular order are 1,2,5,6(Chris) and 7.

Voted Season 1-4. Picking when I found Charmed most enjoyable to watch for me as a fan. I would vote and add S7 too, but not all of S7 and the second half isn't an option. So still sticking to S1-4.

I love S1, S3 and I like S7 a lot. I kind of sort of like S8, too...if only for Paige and Henry and the alternate universe feel that the season has to it IMO.

Yeah Paige and Henry are the only reason I see season 8 as anything either.

Yeah Paige and Henry are the only reason I see season 8 as anything either. That's right Melinda. That had season 7 been the final season and Henry was moved to season 7's story - Not so sure about Henry replacing Brody. I think we would enjoy the series ending more. Maybe here, Phoebe would be left as the only single sister at the end. But season 8 is the only saving grace thanks to Paige/Henry.

Like most others have said, my absolute favourite parts were from S1-2. I still really like S3-4, but somewhere around the time that they defeat The Source midway through S4 is when charmed started to become what it was during S5-8... so when most say they wished the show ended after S4, I actually wish it had ended at episode 12 and they created a mini season to wrap the story lines up and give the fans closure. Most fans say that S4 is the best season, and had it be handled better I could agree (and that is coming from a major Prue fan... I named my cat after her!). The Source is dead and Prue is avenged. It's hard to say exactly what 'changed' in the show, but somewhere midway through the fourth season is when it truly became Brad Kern's Charmed.
So that is why I voted S1-midway S4, that way I suffer through no pregnancy announcements.

Big fan of season 4, the majority of season 3, most of season 2, and the last half of season 1. Everything after that is hit or miss. With that being said, I chose the later half of season 1-season 4.

Voted S1-midway S4! Did not like how they ended the Cole - Phoebe/Cole arc! After that there are some arcs episodes that I like. But it's just wasn't what it used to be!

I would've preferred skipping Brody and the Avatars (hated that whole storyline - preferred the Avatars in Season 5) and instead putting in Paige and Henry's love story from Season 8 into Season 7 and still making Zankou the Big Bad of the last season rather than Billie and Christy. But then my real preference is skipping from 'A Paige From the Past' to 'Show Ghouls' and ending it with 'Something Wicca This Way Goes'. A LOT of inconsistencies that would have to be straightened out, starting with leaving out both boys - YES! - and figuring out what to do with Cole (hopefully letting him take Drake's place, including dying the way Drake did and Henry taking Brody's place. It would be fun trying to take the various storylines and mixing them up and coming up with one that made more sense.
