Since a number of people liked this suggestion I used in a different thread, here it is here: 299. What if the Charmed Ones met Paige during S3 and she became their friend and innocent before finding out that she's their half-sister, and then SHE was the one who died during AHBL and became her half-sisters' whitelighter because Leo had to give up his wings in order to marry Piper? This is my very-favorite "What If" - it would fix SO many things that went wrong in S5-8: the Twice-Blessed Brat and his whiney, lying, murdering brother not taking over a show that was supposed to be about GIRL power being tops. I have always loved this idea, this would be the full definition of GIRL power. Having Paige die to become a full white-lighter is so much better than what was presented and Paige being able to use her job as a Social Worker as the perfect cover for her to be able to help innocents, I am in love. Oh, yes, Paige would definitely be a full social worker at the time the sisters meet her and never give that up for that reason. Rather than the Bay Mirror, I'd prefer Phoebe be the one with the temp jobs, so her main job is researching innocents and villains, while also discovering innocents through her temp jobs. By the wa if you want to use any of this idea in your own fic, GO FOR IT! I'd be honored! |

I have always loved this idea, this would be the full definition of GIRL power. 300. What if Paige came back from the future instead of Chris, because she (being half whitelighter and half witch) was Piper and Leo's child? The girl we saw in Morality Bites could be named Melinda Paige Halliwell, and could go by Paige when she goes back in time.

301: What if Prue started to fall for Cole before Phoebe did (lots more chemistry there...), but before Prue fell too hard, she realized that he was part demon, so Prue joined her sisters in vanquishing him in 'Sleuthing with the Enemy' so there was no need for anyone to lie to the others, meaning PhoeME would remain our Phoebs for the rest of the series?

don’t repeat the scenarios I'm just going to bluntly state, I'm not going to sit here and read 6 pages of responses to a 4 year old post (at the time of writing this post, this thread is 4 years old). That being said, I'm just going to say one "what if", and if it's a "repeat", oh well. What if Phoebe died, instead, and Prue & Piper reconstituted the Charmed Ones by recruiting Paige? And, Paige's powers work similarly as they do, now. Paige will get premonitions similarly to how she dreamed about the Titans. Her Telekinetic Orbing would be Empathic Orbing, instead. Seeing as how Phoebe's Empathy powers (in S6) acted like "Telekinesis", I don't see how Paige's Telekinetic Orbing would function any differently, under the Empathetic Orbing umbrella. She'll still have to vocalize everything back. Paige would Levitate, just like Phoebe, on top of still having Orbing and call it an extension of her Orbing abilities. Makes sense, in my head. It's why I'm just such a fan of what if discussions, it's what I most like about fanfics, it helps to take all your negative energy of what you hated in the show and turn it into something better by fixing what you hated. |

It's why I'm just such a fan of what if discussions, it's what I most like about fanfics, it helps to take all your negative energy of what you hated in the show and turn it into something better by fixing what you hated. You and me both, Julian! My favorite Charmed fanfics are "What Ifs". Probably why most of them are based on the second set of Charmed Ones and not the first ones... Awesome! I also love alternate reality fics too which doesn't stick to canon rules, and can have fun not sticking too closely to canon. Exactly so! Especially when Charmed was so inconsistent with their own canon rules - it's fun to choose which ones I want to be true and which ones I just want to throw out. |
