Not sure what benefit the long-lost-sister storyline brings in. It was literally a saving-grace for Classic. Not something to repeat. They did have a scary-looking demon. Honestly, one of the things that gets me going is the dark tone. I'm all here for that. Charmed was never "dark" to me. It always makes me curious how Shannen wanted the show to go. Man, imagine a reboot created by Constance and Shannen? Don't get me started on how great a reboot would be with them at the helm. Constance producing with Shannen co-producing and directing. Holly, Alyssa, and Rose as executive producers as well. This show would have a perfect balance of sisterhood, feminism, darkness, slight hilarity, and magic. Why hasn't anyone tried to ask Shannen on being a part of the reboot in some way? Or better yet, any of the original cast and crew??? The trailer seems kind of bland to me not just because it's pretty much the same plot as the pilot for the original show, but I cant find any chemistry between the actresses, not even the scenes with them and the actress who plays their mother. The youngest sister doesn't interest me in any way and I've seen her in other movies. I will say that the only reason this reboot may garner some good ratings is because it shows representation of the Latino community and also some representation of the LGBTQ community. Literally, that's the only two pros that I've seen on social media about this show. Everything else about the trailer and show is negative which I usually don't like, but I have to agree with the majority of the original show's fans and fans that were for WayWard Sisters. |

I have a few things to say about the trailer, but there's going to be some negativity so I advise people who don't like to read negativity to please overlook this post...
*I feel like they're shoving seasons 1 - 4 from the original down our throats from this first season...too many things are happening.
*They turned Charmed into a murder mystery. You guys know how it's always been one demon, one episode, one murder... now I guess it's going to span over a whole season.
*The sister who can freeze time or molecules froze absolutely everything... why is this power already more powerful than Piper's power was?? Shouldn't they have time to progress and advance?
*After watching the older sister throw a beer bottle, I'm left to wonder... how are the sisters activating their powers? Their eyes? Or is telekinesis now a pure mind thing?
*I really honestly thing the power of telepathy is useless. I'm sorry, but wouldn't it be awkward to have to touch people just to read their minds? Unless she can use it on a demon then I guess everything's fine and dandy?
*Harry kidnapping the girls... is that really frickin' necessary? I loved how they blended Leo in gracefully as a handyman, but now in 2018 whitelighters are allowed to commit crimes via kidnapping?
*The demon with the black eyes and wispy veins... I watched this and I immediately thought of Supernatural and how it was a rip off from the show. Supernatural has been doing black eyes for their demons for years, so watching the new demon in Fake-Charmed really set me off.
All in all, I hated it. There really wasn't anything I liked about the trailer, so I'm most likely going to not watch beyond the third episode, but we shall see.

Over 44 thousand views and about 700 comments already on the YouTube page since it posted 5 hours ago And most of the comments are about how the reboot will never live up to the original and that this looks like a cheap parody of the original  |

Initial Watch/Reaction.... Ok?
Second Watch..... Alright
Third Watch... I like it.
TV trailers are always super awkward and cheesy and this one had a lot of it. But, I'm going to go in without being critical and watch the pilot when it airs. I already like Madeleine's character (Macy) the most. I like that she's going to be the rationale skeptic of the trio. I really want to know why she was given up since in the photo it looked like she was a toddler. Melonie's character (Mel) seems OK. She gives off a Phoebe/Paige/Prue feel to me since it looks like she's the most head strong and ready to take on this new witch task. The youngest one I don't know about yet. They're trying to hard to make her the funny one. It just comes off too forced.
I like that it seems darker than the original and that they really want to sell the sisterhood aspect of the show. I'm all in for that. Fingers crossed that this is going to be really good.

I've loved Charmed for 20 years. I'm not happy with a reboot. I'm allowed my opinion. Sorry you don't like it. Doesn't mean I'm not allowed to be angry and upset. Some are excited. Some aren't. This forum isn't about the reboot. It's about Classic Charmed. It will always be about the Warren witches. I'm not happy. I vent. This isn't a positive-only board. If you find my comments unfair, don't read them? Ignore me. And post your own opinions to start new thoughts. I've been sitting here (at work, no less), for around three hours in anticipation of the trailer. So actual photos of (possible) on-screen moments is the only thing I have to judge. This is the first in-character piece of the reboot I have. I'm going to talk about it. I'm not bashing the actors. I'm not disrespecting members. So I'm free to have and post my opinions. I agree I didn't want a reboot and I can't like what I saw |

I don't know if any of you know this, but a spoiler was revealed on Twitter that we will get somewhat of a connection between the original series and this reboot. In the pilot episode, Harry (The sister's whitelighter) will tell the sisters about Melinda Warren.

They did have a scary-looking demon. I felt the scare level of demon was equal to monsters showing up in the female Ghostbusters and Scooby-Doo live action movies. Is it because little kids might be watching and they don't want to scare them with very creepy looking demons? |

Charmed looks ok but I hate that we are getting a whitelighter right off the bat to teach them everything. They don't get to discover they are witches on their own? No one reads a spell releasing their powers? And "piper" doesnt have to use her hands to freeze time?!?
The Book of Shadows definitely looks modern. Not to bad but looks like it has no history to it.
I can already tell I'm going to be real nitpicky over the pilot. I'm already playing Charmeds pilot trailer in my head and comparing it to this one.

Someone has to be reading social media. CW mentioned at least twice that their network thrives because of the digital age. Which means SM matters.
I don't know what could change (CHANGE THE NAME), but they'll have to do something and give us something. Or they're totally good with the pilot turn out and will just bank on all of us saying we're going to try out the premiere / hate-watch the pilot. And maybe the pilot is great!
Or maybe they live by the "bad press is still press" saying and are happy people are talking?

Notice how their whitelighter says "You are Charmed Ones, the most powerful trio of witches" instead of saying "You are THE Charmed Ones, the most powerful of witches" sounds like there are multiple Charmed Ones in this verse.

I need to rewatch a few more times (only once since I'm working) to catch things. But I don't like that they seem to be told in the first episode.
Phoebe reading the Book and learning and them learning was really good. They're taking away some of that... "magic" this way.
(And as someone else, it's being manplained, no less. Seems ironic for a show that keeps going feminism! Fight the patriarchy.)

Looks okay. But trailers always are misleading. Any film or show can be made to look cool but turns out bad as you watch it fully.
Still trying to get used to the names. The middle sister I thought was the oldest for a second and remembered shes the middle.
It looks very dark. I hate that they added a whitelighter especially male to tell them everything. The Classic Charmed pilot added mystery better.
It gave me a Charmed season 3 and 4 dark feel but actually darker.

First off, it's so great that this trailer has brought back so many members who have been gone for a while. As someone put it, the best part about this site is that you can be gone for a while when Real Life gets busy, but we're always here waiting for your return. Then there's something else that makes this site special. It has to do with this: It just doesn't make sense (from the screenshot alone) why they're like that. Looks stupid. Ugh. This is just telling me to stop what I'm doing and rewatch Charmed. For real, are you going to be like this with EVERY little thing? I get it, you don't want a reboot, fine. You know you can just not like it and not watch it? Doesn't have to be a crusade where you pick apart every tiny thing they release. If when they actually air it you have legitimate criticisms, alright, but what you're doing now (what I've watched you do for months now) is transparently biased and frankly it's getting a bit ridiculous. It's literally a photo of them sat on chairs for heavens sake. If you can seriously take something so innocuous and turn it into a reason the reboot is bad, you clearly made up your mind already. Why not leave the reboot boards for people who haven't? Especially when reboot talk is restricted to this little section, it doesn't really seem fair. I've loved Charmed for 20 years. This site is a Classic Charmed site, not a Charmed: The Reboot site, so actually giving it a board of its own is being pretty generous. If someone wants to start a new ProBoard for Charmed: The Reboot where only positive feedback is allowed and they post a link to that site here, they're more than welcomed to do that. BUT in the mean time, AW is absolutely right that if you find her comments unfair, your best bet is to put her on Ignore. I've done that with numerous people over the years as I'm sure others have put me on Ignore, which is just fine with me. Without that function, I'm sure I would've left a long time ago. It's why ProBoards has included that function. A lot of our members love Cole. Some find discussion about him boring. Some of our members hate Chris. Some of our members love him Some of our members don't like the first few seasons of Charmed. Some do. Others don't like the last few seasons of Charmed. Some do. If you run into someone whose opinions don't agree with your own and constantly reading their opinion is getting annoying, then it's best to just put them on Ignore. Best of all, if you do want to read something one of your Ignored people wrote, there's always a button that will let you do that. Ignoring someone is a bit time-consuming, but worth it. 1. Find one of that person's post and click on their Display Name (so if you wanted to ignore me, go to one of my posts and click on "Esmeralda". This will bring you to their profile 2. Under the "Follow" button is their username. Highlight and copy it.(If you're ignoring me, highlight and copy "esmeralda".) 3. Up in the Menu, click on "Profile" This will bring you to your own profie. 4. Click on the "Edit Profile" button. This will bring you to the Edit Profile screen. 5. Click on the "Privacy" tab.
