Elemental Charmed Confirms Release Dates for First Two Tie-In Novels

Back in December, Deadline announced that Simon &; Schuster, will publish tie-in novels based on The CW’s new hit Classic Charmed reboot, Elemental Charmed, and revealed that the first one would be released in the Spring, 2019.

Now we can officially confirm that the first tie-in novel, simply titled “Elemental Charmed”, will be released on April 6, 2019.

We can also confirm that this is a novelization of the premiere episode "House of the Rising Warrens", but has some additional scenes and minor changes, all based on the original story by Constance M. Burge, who created both series. That story was later turned into scripts by Sheryl J. Anderson and Paul Ruditis, but their changes have been left out of the novel.

The second tie-in novel titled “Warrens Just Wanna Have Fun”, an original story by popular Classic Charmed writer, Diana Gallagher, not based on any Elemental Charmed episode and includes the Warrens meeting the Halliwells, has a release date of June 22, 2019. 

The third tie-in novel was originally a novelization of a yet-to-be-titled episode of Elemental Charmed. We’ve been told that this episode has been switched to Season Two, so after the fan's great reaction to 'A Smart, Spell and A Banshee...Are We Watching Charmed?” Zach Estrin, the writer who came up with that wonderful title, is penning its novelization: ”A Smart Spell and A Banshee...Are We Reading a Charmed Novel?”. It's due to be released on July 27, 2019.  We're certain that Zach's TV writing partner, Chris Levinson, is giving him plenty of suggestions!

We all loved the idea and I’m thrilled that Chris and Zack were able to put together a fantastic script, one that has many twists and turns we hope our viewers will enjoy.”

The second shows Phoebe at Piper’s restaurant, talking on the phone with Piper, who is in bed at home, trying to hurry and recover from the flu, freaking when she hears banging and crashing in the background.

We can't wait to see if Phoebe will get out of this mess, and if so, how, while worrying whether Paige can outsmart her blackmailer, and worried that Prudence won't get through to her younger daughter.

Elemental Charmed: First Look at Classic Charmed director Anson Williams Getting to Charm the Elemental Witches

Deadline has an exclusive first look at Anson Williams, the Happy Days star who is famous for directing fan-favorite Classic Charmed episode, “All Halliwell’s Eve”.

Elemental Charmed's executive producer, Connie Burge, was thrilled when Anson accepted the offer to direct. “I loved Anson’s work on Classic Charmed, so I just knew I wanted Anson for an episode of Elemental Charmed.”

“When I was up in Vancouver directing Elemental Charmed, I got to work with Sheryl Anderson again," Anson told Deadline. "She wrote the episode I'm directing and as you know she's also the one who wrote 'All Halliwell’s Eve'. Working with her again brought back lots of fond memories of Classic Charmed. especially because she writes the Warrens as wonderfully as she wrote the Halliwells. I have never felt more free, more artistically driven and exploding with ideas, and she liked every one of them."

As for Elemental Charmed cast, Anson told Deadline. "The five leads are tremendous. They’re love and light and dedication, and they’re hardworking and they just came prepared and ready to play, and they trusted me and we got to trust each other. And I’m so proud of our episode. It was such a great experience."

Williams' episode of Elemental Charmed is set to air on Sunday, April 14, 2019.

Classic Charmed stars Shannen Doherty and Alyssa Milano Reunite on the Set of Elemental Charmed.

After 20 years, Shannen Doherty and Alyssa Milano are finally acting together again. The two Classic Charmed stars are currently on set, filming the Season One finale of Elemental Charmed titled "The Life and Death of Mary Ann Warren".

Both actresses have posted photos on their social medias with the captions: "A Charming Reunion" with hashtags #Sistersforever, and #CharmedAgain". Doherty commented on Milano's social media post: "Prue and Phoebe forever". Fans have heard the rumors about the two stars not getting along on the set of Charmed, but even if there were problems, it's obvious that both have put that long behind them.

Elemental Charmed's executive producer, Connie Burge, told the press, "I couldn't be more excited for fans of Classic Charmed to see the season finale. The fact that we got both Shannen and Alyssa back is beyond amazing".

Still, their roles are kept a tight secret and fans have speculated they might very well be playing sisters again. We can hardly wait to find out!  

Elemental Charmed airs on Sunday nights on The CW, but it will move to CBS next fall.  The season finale will air on Sunday, May 19th, 9:00 ET, and because it's the first of two parts, will be rebroadcasted on Sunday, October 13th, 8:00 ET.

Elemental Charmed Cast and Crew Wraps Season One

That’s a wrap on Season One of The CW’s “Elemental Charmed”.

Star TBC5 shared a fun retrospective on her Instagram with a ton of behind-the-scenes pics from the set.

“While was in the waiting room when I tested for this role at good ole CBS Radford, I saw the Deadline article for TBC4‘s casting and went, oh wow. we definitely look like we could be sisters… for some cosmic reason it calmed my nerves a little,” TBC5 confessed in the caption. “Little did I know - literally I had no idea this role was going to be mine - that I’d be joining her, TBC1, TBC2 and TBC3 for the most wild 22 episodes ever, and here we are at the finish line for Season One! It's so much more fun knowing that there will be a Season Two.”

She added, “Thank you to every single person who made it happen, and to every person who held me up through this busy first season. To top it off, our first year ended with a bang with getting stars from the original Charmed series to join us. Shannen and Alyssa are fabulous! Love you all!  Cheers to #CharmedSeason1! Bring on the second season on CBS. I’m so excited!”

The Season One finale is set to air on May 19, and will feature the much-anticipated performances of  Classic Charmed stars Shannen Doherty and Alyssa Milano.

Elemental Charmed will be back for Season Two in the fall on the same day at the same time, but the series will move from The CW to The CW's parent network, CBS-TV.

OOPS! Looking through the Word document I use to keep track of the press releases, I've found that I somehow missed editing the final episode added to Season Five.

And I also have a treat for you guys - PrudenceHalliwell has rewritten the episode that she moreorless copied from Paul Ruditis' e-novel, 'Let Gorgons be Gorgons', using the actual Greek goddesses rather than Paul's gorgons.

I haven't had a chance to edit that either and I have to get to work, so I'll do that tonight - just in time to get our TENTH Month-Day update posted, featuring everything edited! Then this next month I’m going to go through the entire series, re-ordering the episodes if necessary, looking for inconsistencies and fixing them. To me, that sounds like great fun!

Season 5, Episode 6: ”Burden of Guilt"

IN SICKNESS AND IN HELL – One of Prudence's college classmates, who left Salem after they graduated, returns to ask for help. But the two left on bad terms and Prudence still hasn't forgiven her. But when Prudence finds out that Gloria has ovarian cancer,she sets their differences aside. She also tells Gloria about her own health issues. Gloria excitedly says that she has found a great doctor who she is sure can cure Prudence, but it comes with a cost.

Prudence accompanies Gloria for her second treatment, but although Gloria notices some improvements, Prudence feels strange. Since she's gone through something similar before, Prudence knows that the doctor is really a demoness, and she's draining Prudence's lifeforce little by little. But before Prudence can do anything about it, she passes out. When she awakes, she finds that Gloria has brought Prudence home to the Manor.

Phoebe is home, studying for exams, but is immediately concerned when she sees how pale her grandmother is and calls Prudence’s doctor. The doctor, one of Prudence's old co-workers, discovers that Prudence’s her condition has gotten so much worse that if there is anything on her bucket list that she hasn’t done yet, she better do them soon.

Phoebe calls the rest of the family and they hurry home. Patience tells them how that Piper is free, she and her daughters decided to spend some much-needed mother-daughter bonding time by going to Old Salem and going through an old antique shop and then share their Thursday-night dinner, something that between Wither Pox and Piper's trial and all the rest, they haven’t done in quite a while, which makes the rest of the family smile, even Prudence. But when Paige wants to know why she’s telling this now, Piper speaks up, saying that they were surprised to find out that a spirit has taken up residence in the shop.

When Prudence hears about this, she says her Spirit element should be able to help them, but the family just want Prudence to rest. Patience tells her mother that they can handle it, especially if she uses the power-switching spell she found in the family book of shadows. But Prudence doesn’t think that’s a good idea, since they may need her Earth element. Phoebe points out that inside a store, her Water element would probably be the one the least needed, so she’ll switch powers with her grandmother, excited to find out what having premonitions is like.


Back at the doctor's clinic, Gloria is having second thoughts, but the demoness reminds her of the pact they made – her health restored comes with a price and the demoness wants Prudence. But Gloria doesn’t want Prudence to be the one to pay the price. The demoness tells her that the only thing that will keep her alive is the lifeforce of a witch, and if Gloria doesn’t help her, she’ll kill Gloria’s only child, followed by her killing Prudence’s two daughters. Gloria is shocked—she never ever even guessed that Prudence is a witch.


Back at the Manor, Patience and Phoebe have managed to switch powers and with the help of visions showing her the spirit’s life, they’re able to help the spirit leave the antique shop and go into the Light. But as they return home, Phoebe has a premonition of a demoness standing above Piper, draining something from her, so they two hurry home.

There they find that Gloria has come to check on Prudence, who agrees to let Piper accompany her to the clinic, since now she and Gloria really aren’t on good terms.

Patience and Phoebe arrive at the Manor and tell everyone what Phoebe saw. Paige quickly transports to the attic, grabs the family book of shadows and returns downstairs with it. As they flip through the book, Prudence and Piper return. Prudence is furious because Gloria has betrayed them yet again—her health is even worse, and now Piper is feeling ill.

Prudence glances at the book and points out that that’s the doctor demoness – the Demoness of Souls, who heals mortally-ill people in exchange for the lifeforce of witches. Will the Warrens be able to figure out how to stop the demoness and find some way to help Prudence and Piper before they die?

OH, MY GODDESS - THEY"RE REAL! - Phoebe's new professor becomes very interested in her, and Prudence becomes suspicious of a new volunteer at one of her not-for-profit organizations. Later the Warrens try to undo a spell that has turned one of Patience's co-workers into crazy-in-love with a woman she hates, not realizing the powerful magic behind it. To top it off, acoss town, a big fight breaks out between a group of people, As attacks on Innocents mount, the Elemental Witches' family book of shadows reveals that the mythical Greek goddesses Hera and Aphrodite are real and is to blame.

Using the magic of the Elemental Witches, Hera and Aphrodite resurrect fellow-goddess Demeter. They try to get her to join them in their crusade against the witches, but she just wants to return to her slumber, since the days of the Greek goddesses ruling has long since passed. But When she learns her own daughter Persephone had been harmed by witches and is now in the astral plane, she agrees to help.

The three go on a crusade, with Demter controlling the weather and changing Salem into winter with blizzards, lightning and thunder. But when they realize that their powers are fading, because mortals people no longer worship the goddessess, they'll need the power of an Elemental Witch to get into the astral plane, and the only way they can do that is to sacrifce an innocent. They kidnap an innocent at one of Prudence's charity auctions and trick Patience into opening the astral plane.

After Prudence learns what she accidentally did, she checks the family book of shadows and finds that they have to descend into one of the many astral planes of existence to rescue the woman. They decide that Paige will use her Air Element to transport to the astral plane with just Patience and Phoebe, since Prudence will be able to use her Spirit Element to communicate with them, while she and Piper will try to figure out how to undo what Hera and Aphrodite did to the citizens of Salem.

Patience, Paige and Phoebe will have to face off against the greatest of the ancient Greek goddesses who were banished to the astral plane many centuries ago, and also their horrible mothers - the Titans. Will they be able to save their innocent and can Prudence and Piper save the citizens of Salem?

TBD — Paige is assisting a young woman named Jan who has come to SSS for help. After her parents were killed in a car crash, Jan’s aunt and uncle took her in, but have been taking advantage of her, including abusing her both physically and mentally.

When Paige brings the case home and shows pictures of Jan and her relatives, Prudence recognizes the aunt as someone who also volunteers at one of her not-for-profit organizations. While there, Prudence had a premonition that showed that both the aunt and uncle are warlocks.

Doing some research at the police station, Patience finds out that Jan has another relative who lives in Salt Lake City, and when she contacts him, he can’t wait to meet Jan. In the meantime, Piper brews a potion that will vanquish the warlocks.

Although Jan has a hard time coming to terms with the fact that they’re going to vanquish her aunt and uncle, she finally accepts it, but when Piper tells them that only three Elemental Witches will be needed for the vanquish, Jan agrees to stay behind with Prudence and Paige.

Patience and her daughters locate and battle the warlocks. Patience and Phoebe stay close together, battling the uncle, but Piper, who’s battling the aunt, suddenly finds herself alone in an alley with the aunt. Although she vanquishes the aunt, the vanquish gives her a hard bump to the head. Patience and Phoebe vanquish the uncle and try to find Piper, but can’t - Piper is missing.

Paige transports Jan to her second cousin in Salt Lake City and the way he greets her and hugs her lets Paige know that Jan will be safe here. She transports home.

Later, Piper awakes, but has no idea who she is, where she lives, or even that she's a witch.

HAVE THE WARRENS LOST PIPER FOREVER? — Piper has awakened in a strange house with no memory of who she is or even that she's a witch. She is relieved when she is greeted by a young woman named Luna who says she found Lucy in an alleyway and brought her back home. Somehow the names Luna and Lucy don’t sound right to Piper, but when Luna tells her that they are sisters, good witches who fight evil witches, that feels familiar and she accepts the fact that her name is Lucy and Luna is her sister.

Luna tells her that the evil witches have stolen some powerful amulets that are three halves of an ancient protective charm. Luna has one of the amulets but needs to find the other two before the evil witches steal the first one again and use them for evil. Although Lucy (Piper) has no memory of any of this, she uses her powers to locate the second amulet.


Meanwhile back at Warren Manor, the Warren family are frantic because they can’t locate Piper. They can tell that she is alive but just not where she is. Later, Prudence has a premonition of what appears to be a warlock stealing magical amulets from witches – and one of the “warlocks” is Piper. That’s when she realizes that the warlock must’ve put a cloaking spell on Piper, the reason why they weren’t able to locate her.

Prudence sees an address in her vision, so she writes it down. She again decides to stay behind with Patience so they can continue to try to find Piper, while Paige and Phoebe go to the address in hopes of saving the witch, and hopefully find Piper.

They arrive at the same time Lucy (Piper) and Luna arrive, trying to locate the second amulet. Paige and Phoebe encounter Piper and her fellow “good” witch in action and are shocked to discover that Piper has completely forgotten her real family. Paige and Phoebe are so shocked that they just stand there as Piper grabs the amulet and she and her “sister” leave.

Paige and Phoebe bring the witch back to Warren Manor, where they inform Prudence and Patience that they saw Piper, but she doesn't remember who she is and she’s working with a warlock. Since Piper called her Luna and Luna called her Lucy, they realize that Piper now thinks that Luna is her sister, not Phoebe.

But at Piper's new home. Luna has a new mission for “Lucy” – she’s convinced her “sister” that the “warlocks” they saw at the house are evil and need to be rendered powerless.

Can the Warrens find Piper and help her learn who she truly is before Luna destroys the Elemental Witches?

TBD - Prudence is panicking, not knowing what is going on. But at least she’s home in Warren Manor. Poor Andrea has no idea where she is or why and she backs away, certain that Prudence is a warlock who has abducted her. Spinning round, she makes a run for it.

Meanwhile Piper and Phoebe find themselves in the 60s, reunited with their mother and aunt. Patience and Paige are happy to see them, but have bad news. Patience warns them that they might not have a future to go back to, because Piper and Phoebe's grandfather, Allen Halliwell, did not meet Prudence on the day they should have. Paige reminds them that after Bridget, one of Prudence's best friends, moved from Salem to Philadelphia, she joined the Philadelphia coven and she was the one who introduced Prudence to the coven when Prudence visited her. That’s where Prudence met Andrea, who in turn, introduced her to Allen. But they’ve discovered that it was actually Charlotte who killed Bridget, so if the Warrens return to the present, no one will know who they are because they do not exist, or if they do, it would be as totally different people, since they’d have a different father/grandfather. So they must find a way to fix the past before they return to the present.

The four women check into a hotel under alias names and decide that as long as they do not interact with any more family members or friends of their family members until they fix this mess as soon as possible, they should be fine. Paige thinks that maybe the artifact the warlocks had might be their chance to travel back farther in time, so they can make sure that Bridget lives so that in turn Prudence and Allen meet on the day they should. Patience is afraid that doing that might just make matters worse as one of them could be killed. Piper and Phoebe are still reeling from the shock of learning what has happened and don’t know what to think.

Back in the present, Prudence answers the door to find two strangers, a man and a woman. They hug her as they greet her as their mother. This lets us know that since the past has changed, Prudence has married a different man who gave her a son and a daughter who looks nothing like Prudence or Paige. Prudence rolls her eyes as she tells them about her “fun” afternoon when a warlock suddenly appeared in Warren Manor. The two laugh at her. Her daughter wonders why she thinks a warlock would end up in Warren Manor since Prudence hasn't practiced magic in a very long time since she stripped her powers before marrying Jeffrey. Her son tells her how happy he is that she also stripped their powers the day each of them and each of their children were born.

We realize that there is no longer such a thing as the Elemental Witches…

Back in the past, Patience, Paige, Piper, and Phoebe make plans to take down the warlocks so they can get a hold of the artifact. Patience thinks they might be able to do a locator spell, when she notices a piece of hair on her coat that doesn't match her own. Remembering the struggle she had with one of the warlocks before she killed Bridget, she knows what to do. Now if they only had the right ingredients for the potion… Paige remembers spotting a Wicca store nearby, so she decides to go get them. She wishes she still had her control over the element Air so she could just teleport. Phoebe laughs at her and says she’ll have to walk like everyone else.

While there, Past Prudence comes inside, so Paige quickly hides behind a shelf and hears Prudence tell the store clerk that she needs the ingredients for a potion that will allow her to relinquish her powers for good.
