Welcome to the Characters and Casting Brainstorm Thread, here you'll find everything to do with casting our characters, and creating and plotting new recurring, potential villains and other similar things of 'Elemental Charmed' by Team Charmed Cafe!
Over the next few days, I or other members will work on migrating all the posts that have to do with character and casting, and brainstorming ideas for villains, recurring, co-stars and anything related.
Brainstorm, create your own characters, create new press releases for casting, plot new villains, recurring and or co-stars and everything else relating to Characters and Casting?

I thought about Prudence's other family, I see you have created and added a sister in law from her husband.
Why not give Prudence a brother, who is non-magical and has no powers, and let him serve the role Victor had during the series of Charmed.
Does anyone else here think that's a good idea or a bad idea?

Why not give Prudence a brother, who is non-magical and has no powers, and let him serve the role Victor had during the series of Charmed. Does anyone else here think that's a good idea or a bad idea? I think we want to keep our first season female-centric and not actually include any recurring males, hence the reason why we introduced a sister-in-law rather than a brother. And I think the Warrens are going to be like the Halliwells where it's a matriarchal line with no males - including no jumping the shark by introducing a male child who has a prophecy of his own and is more powerful than his mother and her sisters. A non-magical brother for Prudence is a possibility, especially if he ends up being one of their innocents who's killed and doesn't return, but one I'd prefer skipping, but as always, I'll bow to the majority. If that doesn't happen and he becomes a recurring guest star, I'd like it to be similar to Charmed where we didn't see Victor Bennett until Season Three, in time for the wedding, and since I hope we don't get any weddings until our last season (no jumping the shark), I'd hope we wouldn't see the brother until the last season. But again, as always, I'll bow to the majority. Maybe we should do a poll on that - it's part of why I asked Assassin Witch for a sub-board so we can do polls.

A poll would be a great idea Es. That should be something we do often when wondering the opinions when deciding certain stories or plots or characters.

Maybe he could be introduced much later or isn't in S1. I might make a poll now.

I just wanted to establish some birthdays and dates for our five stars. What do you all think? If you want to change any or think another one fits better, go for it?

Great work dear! You are doing *such* a great job Pheebs. Thank you Granny Charmed. Again. If anyone thinks a certain sign fits a Warren better, feel free to edit it. This is just a rough draft. However one of our season 1 episodes has Paige & Phoebe's birthdays in October for a story.

Popping in just quick enough to say I like your choices, Pheebs, but if you're going to want to include their astrological signs, I'd prefer if the signs matched the elements a bit better, and their personalities better.
Prudence's element is Spirit, which actually includes all of the astrological signs, but because she's fiery, I think she should be one of the fire signs - that's Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. From what we've seen of her, I think Leo fits her best.
Patience's element is Earth and that fits her personality. Earth signs are Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. Again, from what we've seen, I think Taurus would fit her best.
Paige's element is Air, which also fits her personality. Air signs are Gemini, Libra and Aquarius. I think Libra fits Paige. The nice thing about that is Libra includes the end of September, the beginning of October, so it fits with one of our episodes, the one where Prudence forgets her sister's birthday.
Piper's element is Fire, which also fits her personality, even more than it does Prudence (because Prudence would actually be a combination of all five). I think Aries fits Piper.
Phoebe's element is Water, which also fits her personality. Water signs are Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. I think Pisces fits our Phoebe better than Scorpio, but Scorpio includes the end of October, beginning of November, so it would also fits that story.
For those who don't know, here are the astrological signs and the dates.
Aries - Fire (March 21-April 19) (Piper)
Taurus - Earth (April 20-May 20) (Patience)
Gemini - Air (May 21-June 20)
Cancer - Water (June 21-July 22)
Leo - Fire (July 23-August 22) (maybe Prudence)
Virgo - Earth (August 23-September 22)
Libra - Air (September 23-October 22) (Paige)
Scorpio - Water (October 23-November 21) (maybe Phoebe)
Sagittarius - Fire (November 22-December 21)
Capricorn - Earth (December 22-January 19)
Aquarius - Air (January 20 to February 18)
Pisces - Water (February 19 to March 20) (maybe Phoebe)
No saying we have to use these and no need for you to change your dates, Pheebs, and if anyone who knows astrology better than I do (I only have a friend who's really into it) and thinks a different astrological element would fit Prudence better or one of the other signs from that element would fit one of the other Warrens, let's hear about it.

I'm not that familiar with astrology. But I think having them match their elements better would make sense given our series and personalities too.
But I really think Aries fits Piper the best.

Prudence, I really think we can rule out Sagittarius as her sign. It really doesn't fit her at all. So I think between Aries and Leo, I'd pick Leo.

For those who don't know the basic traits of the various signs, here you go (I put the elemental power of that sign after the dates to help members figure out which sign fits which Warren. Now remember - we do *not* have to follow this, especially since most people don't believe in astrology - I don't, but a friend of mine does - she also believes in reincarnation, so anything I say about that is based on what she's told me. For that matter, if reading these helps us decide that we have the wrong Elemental for any of the Warrens and we want to change that, we can.) Aries (March 21 - April 19) (Fire) Aries loves to be number one, so it’s no surprise that these audacious rams are the first sign of the zodiac. Bold and ambitious, Aries dives headfirst into even the most challenging situations. Taurus (April 20 - May 20) (Earth) Taurus is an earth sign represented by the bull. Like their celestial spirit animal, Taureans enjoy relaxing in serene, bucolic environments, surrounded by soft sounds, soothing aromas, and succulent flavors. Gemini (May 21 - June 20) (Air) Have you ever been so busy that you wished you could clone yourself just to get everything done? That’s the Gemini experience in a nutshell. Appropriately symbolized by the celestial twins, this air sign was interested in so many pursuits that it had to double itself. Cancer (June 21 - July 22) (Water) Cancer is a cardinal water sign. Represented by the crab, this oceanic crustacean seamlessly weaves between the sea and shore, representing Cancer’s ability to exist in both emotional and material realms. Cancers are highly intuitive, and their psychic abilities manifest in tangible spaces: For instance, Cancers can effortlessly pick up the energies of a room. Leo (July 23 - August 22) (Fire) Roll out the red carpet, because Leo has arrived. Leo is represented by the lion, and these spirited fire signs are the kings and queens of the celestial jungle. They’re delighted to embrace their royal status: Vivacious, theatrical, and passionate, Leos love to bask in the spotlight and celebrate themselves. Virgo (August 23 - September 22) (Earth) Virgo is an earth sign historically represented by the goddess of wheat and agriculture, an association that speaks to Virgo’s deep-rooted presence in the material world. Virgos are logical, practical, and systematic in their approach to life. This earth sign is a perfectionist at heart and isn’t afraid to improve skills through diligent and consistent practice. Libra (September 23 - October 22) (Air) Libra is an air sign represented by the scales (interestingly, the only inanimate object of the zodiac), an association that reflects Libra's fixation on balance and harmony. Libra is obsessed with symmetry and strives to create equilibrium in all areas of life. Scorpio (October 23 - November 21) (Water) Scorpio is one of the most misunderstood signs of the zodiac. Because of its incredible passion and power, Scorpio is often mistaken for a fire sign. In fact, Scorpio is a water sign that derives its strength from the psychic, emotional realm. Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21) (Fire) Represented by the archer, Sagittarians are always on a quest for knowledge. The last fire sign of the zodiac, Sagittarius launches its many pursuits like blazing arrows, chasing after geographical, intellectual, and spiritual adventures. Capricorn (December 22 - January 19) (Earth) The last earth sign of the zodiac, Capricorn is represented by the sea goat, a mythological creature with the body of a goat and tail of a fish. Accordingly, Capricorns are skilled at navigating both the material and emotional realms. Aquarius (January 20 - February 18) (Air) Despite the “aqua” in its name, Aquarius is actually the last air sign of the zodiac. Aquarius is represented by the water bearer, the mystical healer who bestows water, or life, upon the land. Accordingly, Aquarius is the most humanitarian astrological sign. Pisces (February 19 - March 20) Pisces, a water sign, is the last constellation of the zodiac. It's symbolized by two fish swimming in opposite directions, representing the constant division of Pisces's attention between fantasy and reality. As the final sign, Pisces has absorbed every lesson — the joys and the pain, the hopes and the fears — learned by all of the other signs. I think Patience will fit well under Virgo. It's funny because the Fire sign is not the best cooks. The earth sign fits cooks better. Taurus: April 20th-May 20th Taurus may turn artistic in the kitchen. They would decorate everything and make it beautiful and attractive. The look, taste, smell, feel along with the surroundings. They are really good at following steps, and always patient in the kitchen, and will only try those recipes which are well known and genuine ones. So, you can say Taurus being a conservative cook. Tauruses are well known for being the good bakers, as baking makes them more artistic. So, you can tag them as the ‘Artistic’’ cook. Capricorn: December 22nd – January 19th Capricorns are a restless worker but they always take some time out to cook a good meal. Capricorns are traditional individuals, So, they love homemade food more and they believe in taking a quality food but not the quantity, so, they never buy any ingredients carelessly. Capricorn loves to spend the evening with their families, having a dinner together. So, they will never throw an unplanned dinner party until it’s perfectly planned. They are a great boss in the kitchen as well and want everything to be well-organised in the kitchen, so they only like to work with the experienced cooks. So, you can tag them as the ‘Perfect’ cook. Virgo: August 23rd – September 22nd People born under this Zodiac sign can make magic in the kitchen. They will use all of their talents to create incredible details and prepare a dish that is not only tasty but also looks perfect. Virgos can be thrifty, but not when it comes to cooking – irresistible taste is more important to them than the price of groceries used. They hate to throw food away, so they often successfully set out on missions to prepare “something from nothing” using all of the leftovers from their fridge. You can tag a Virgo as an ‘incredible’ cook. www.zodiacsymbols.info/5-best-cooks-of-the-zodiac/

For now, we've decided that the only characters we're going to cast are the five Warrens (although all five still need to be cast - I cast the ones who played Young Prue and Little Piper as Piper Warren and Phoebe Warren, but if someone wants to recast them, go for it!) and Alyssa as Mary Ann Warren and Alyssa as Jenna Warren in order to make our Elemental Charmed seem more like a real series by letting the stars carry their show and not depend on Classic Charmed actors.
BUT if anyone wants to do this as a true virtual series where you're only casting faces, not the actual actors, here's the ones we cast before we made this decision:
Debbi Morgan – Bloody Mary in S1
Jennifer Rhodes – Andrea Halliwell, Prudence’s dead husband Allen’s twin sister, living in Philadelphia
Julian McMahon – Joseph the warlock in S4 and S5
Leigh-Allyn Baker – George the warlock’s lost lover whose death he wants to avenge
Neil Roberts – George the warlock with mind control in S1
If you want to have fun casting the other characters, go ahead and do it here.
