(Note from ES: Oh, yes! Including this works fantastically! And as you said, it keeps this skyscraper from growing too large. EMMETT: ) EMMETT: A fun pilot episode. I especially liked that Piper and Phoebe didn't unbind their powers until much later once the funeral for their dad happened, and after they had time to accept it. I liked that the older Warrens gave them that choice. ES: We hated the fact that Charmedom was just forced on Prue and Piper - Prue never got a chance to say, "No", and Piper didn't until S4! EMMETT: Yeah, I hated that, and the Charmed reboot gave them all a choice in the pilot episode. ES: Give the rip-off credit for learning something from the classic. EMMETT: ES: -------------- EMMETT: Them living on the other side of the country to protect them from a warlock was great. I can't believe Paige was just living in the same city as Prue, Piper and Phoebe, it made no sense to me that Patty and Grams could just bump into Paige any time, it's so weird. They should have adopted her and had her living somewhere else, but so happens to move to San Francisco later. ES: That would've been SO much better! I'm hoping you liked our premiere episode that you decide to keep reading and reviewing! EMMETT: It really would have been way better than what we go. I am going to keep reading more now. See below! ES: YAY! EMMETT: ES: ------------------------ EMMETT: Is that you who wrote this one?
ES: It sure is. One of the few episodes I wrote, although I edited all of them. I'm better at editing than at original writing. EMMETT: Sometimes, some people are just better at some things over others. I'm glad you found your talents. ES: Me, too. EMMETT: ES: ------------- EMMETT: ‘Piper’s Brew’ LOL ES: Hehehe! EMMETT: ES: ------------------ EMMETT: I liked this one, a nice way to get the younger Warrens adjusting to their new home and all. I also liked that it wasn't so perfect when they moved in. I hated how Paige moved in, and next few episodes, they get along great. You'd think something that Paige did or how she likes to do things in her house, didn't tick off Piper or Phoebe. ES: Or ticked off Prudence. I can see her getting upset if Piper or Phoebe did something differently than how she'd want to do things. And, of course, Patience would play mediator. EMMETT: That makes sense. It's a fun dynamic to see explored than just sisters. Why I think an idea like this is a better way to reboot Charmed, because it's somewhat different exploring the bonds between different generations than just sisters. ES: That's what we thought when one of our members came up with the idea. EMMETT: Thanks to that member who came up the idea, and you went with it, and here we are: Elemental Charmed. ES: Yup! EMMETT: It would be so cool if someone attempted to do this with Charmed with Prue, Piper, Phoebe, Patty and Penny making up the Elemental Witches or Power of Five. ES: Actually another fan is working on something like that at a different site. It's not working out quite as well as she thought it might - she tends to make it more like Elemental Charmed than Classic Charmed - but she came up with a Christmas episode that we loved so much we added it to Elemental Charmed. EMMETT: That's really cool she is trying to do that. I so want to read that Christmas episode, and I can when I get to it. I hope she manages to still work on that, it sounds like a fun virtual series that I haven't seen done before. ES: No, neither have I. Unfortunately, she hasn't been around for a while and whenever that happens I worry about her getting COVID... EMMETT: Oh no, I'm hoping she's okay. ES: Me, too. EMMETT: -------------
EMMETT: I did appreciate that Piper and Phoebe here came to see why they all lived under the same roof. Good thing Phoebe had her credits transfer.
ES: EMMETT: ------------- EMMETT: I loved the title. And it's a Halloween episode, so cool. I wish Charmed did more of those, or at least did them every two seasons, so we got one in S1, one in S3, one in S5 and one in S7. ES: Especially because they're witches, I really wish Charmed had had a Halloween episode every season. Of course the timing on the show isn't the same in real life so that may be one reason why they didn't. And I love 'All Halliwell's Eve' so much (one of my Top Ten episodes), I can't see them doing one that's better. EMMETT: Yeah, that does make sense when it comes to real life, so timing never matched up with real time. I love AHE, myself, and yeah, it might not be able to top it. I wish we got a Christmas episode though, at least one during the Prue Era, and one during the Paige Era. ES: That would really have been nice. Although there's some wonderful Christmas stories in our Library - again, I doubt Kern (and I'm sure he would've written something special like that) could've done better. EMMETT: I'll have to check them out closer to December, a good time to read fanfics like those. ES: Definitely. I always bump them to the top so it's easy for newbies to find them. EMMETT: That's so good of you to do, saves newbies like me struggling to find it. ES: My Christmas present to newbies! EMMETT: YAY! ES: EMMETT: ------------------ EMMETT: I remember they they were meant to have one called 'Home for the Halliwell' as I remember seeing that title listed in spoilers at fan sites, but the script never got filmed. Off to look for this to refresh my own memory. EMMETT LATER: I decided to make this its own thread on the board since I'm sure other members might be interested in it. Than just sharing it with you here. ES: Yes, I saw that thread there. Thanks for sharing with everyone! Darn 9/11 anyway! Although speaking of, there's a fantastic fic in our library based on 9/11! EMMETT: My pleasure, I thought everyone would appreciate it. I've never read a 9/11 story based on Charmed, another one I might read next year close to 9/11. ES: I'll try to remember to remind you about it next 9/11. EMMETT: Thank you. ES: EMMETT: -----------
EMMETT: I also loved that the Warrens have a birthday. With Victor's death and Piper and Phoebe's move and all, I can understand why they forgot. I like that they have a joint Halloween party. That should make up for it. ES: Oh, yes, it's definitely understandable but typical Patience that she'd feel bad about missing them.. EMMETT: She sure would. ES: EMMETT: ----------------- EMMETT: Mary Ann Warren, the first Warren to be born in America. Nice to know who the Melinda is. I hope we meet her at some point.
ES: I don't think I'm spoiling anything by telling you that, yes, you will - and she'll be part of more than just one episode...
EMMETT: Not at all, I'd love to be told that someone will reappear, just not when. I'm the type, who hates having false hope, thinking someone might appear or reappear when they never do.
ES: *nods* Then be sure to ask me if you're wondering if someone will return. I think I'll give you another spoiler. That's one of the very few times when we actually cast the characters (letting the reader cast them however they want), but we have ALYSSA playing Mary Ann and SHANNEN playing her sister Jenna Warren! EMMETT: That's sounds like so much fun that you cast them in roles. I also get a kick out of them playing sisters. Then playing ancestors who are dead is a better role for them to play, without taking over the new stars. ES: And again that's what we thought. And that way they only appear no more than a couple times each season. It's also why we decided not to include any of the other stars - it made their appearances special. Although when I did my own version - "Elemental Charmed Done Es' Way" - I had fun casting Jennifer Rhodes as Prudence, Finola Hughes as Patience, Alyssa Milano as Piper (I cast Holly as Penelope Warren - I didn't like her named Mary Ann, but got out-voted - and Shannen remained as Jenna Warren), Emmalee Thompson as Piper and Megan Corletto as Phoebe. I figured 20 years later, those 8-year-olds from 'That 70s Episode' were old enough to play them. I also did it as an episode guide rather than press releases. EMMETT: You sure had fun with your own version, and your casting. Well done. And you are right, 20 years later, they would be the right age to play Piper and Phoebe. ES: Oh, yes, it was a lot of fun. EMMETT: Happy to hear that. ES: EMMETT: ---------- EMMETT: I love how the curse affects each Warren, even taste and touch. Poor Prudence, losing her voice to call for help. I'm sure she got away somehow. But that would be the most terrifying. ES: Definitely! That's the fun of doing press releases as compared to true fanfics - we can put them into scary situations without having to figure out how to get them out of it!YAY EMMETT: That is fun for the reader to have fun wondering how they get out of these messes. ES: Glad you think so. Some of our readers didn't like that and stopped reading the press releases due to that. Oh, well. EMMETT: Oh, well. It won't for me. ES: YAY! EMMETT: ES: ----------------- EMMETT: I'll be back next time, I can to read another episode or two. Also hope to see you around this weekend, for the re-watch. I'm free Sunday night, and cleared my schedule for Charmed.
ES: Sounds very good. Are you going to be able to be part of one of our re-watches either tonight at 6:00 PM Central Time or tomorrow night? I'd LOVE for you to be part of it!
EMMETT: I can't wait to join Sunday at 6:00 PM Central. Will you be joining that night too?
ES: Well, that's my usual night, but as you know, I've decided to drop out due to the WHATEVER with Rebooted. But I hope you still join and enjoy it. I'll read all of the comments tomorrow morning, the way I read the Saturday ones this morning. EMMETT: And now I know, but I hope you enjoyed the comments. ES: That I definitely did! No matter if I do or don't re-watch the episodes, I'll always check out the comments the following morning. EMMETT: ES: -------------------------
ES: Oh, yes! I love you quoting the most recent press release. It's a good refresher for me. EMMETT: Thanks, I'll keep doing it this way. Take out the old ones, and just keep the newest one. ES: Perfect! EMMETT: ------------------ EMMETT: Firstly. I have just as much fun reading the titles, they are so cool. ES: Oh, yes, the rest of Team Charmed Cafe (and we who started doing the re-watches still call ourselves that) did SUCH a fantastic job coming up with titles! And unlike Classic Charmed, who I think came up with titles and then wrote episodes to fit them - hence why Paige, Chris, Billie and Christy got those names - we wrote the episode first and THEN came up with the title! EMMETT: That is what I'd think any good writer would do: write the story first, and title it once it's done. Good thing you did it the other way. ES: Glad you agree. EMMETT: -------------------
EMMETT: Their first warlock. That's right, the younger Warrens didn't vanquish any until the previous one as Elemental Witches. ES: Exactly so. EMMETT: ES: --------------- EMMETT: I love Prudence and Paige giving them the talk in how to use their powers for good use. I sure hope having the wisdom of their mother, aunt and grandmother will prevent them making bad choices like Piper and Phoebe did after Prue died. ES: We hated how they totally forgot what they learned during 'Morality Bites' and were determined that our Elemental Witches wouldn't do that. EMMETT: I'm glad to hear that. S6 was the all-time worst. ES: AMEN, although them murdering the Jenkinses in S8 comes in a close second. EMMETT: Oh, you are right about that, too. ES: They SO should've just freeze them and then bind their powers like they did Paige's past life. It's what I had them do in my "Charmed Forever". EMMETT: That would have been better. ES: Glad you think so! EMMETT: ---------------------- EMMETT: I love that the latest threat is at Phoebe's campus, and it leads Patience on the case to take pictures. ES: We had fun making their workplaces as settings as much as the Manor. EMMETT: That's really great, since the show forgot all about the sisters workplaces for the most part. ES: That they did. I think that was due to having their budget cut so much by The WB. I'm glad we didn't have to worry about such things. EMMETT: Budget cuts really did affect the show, didn't it? I'm glad in fanfics and virtual series, you don't need to worry about that. ES: You and me both! Part of why I love fanfics so much - and why I'm glad Kern screwed up as much as he did! If he hadn't, I'll bet the Cafe would no longer exist! EMMETT: That is true. Or that Charmed Reddit would be the only active community around. But talking about what we dislike tends to be more in depth discussions than what we like and sharing fanfics. ES: *nods* Exactly so, even if I LOVE fanfics! EMMETT: I do too, especially so many wonderful non-Charmed fics. People are just so talented. ES: That they are, even if I haven't read a lot of non-Charmed fanfics. EMMETT: ES: --------------- EMMETT: I liked Piper's lesson, and, oh, typical Paige made a big mistake. Showing that even someone more experienced makes mistakes too.
I'm glad they learned from their mistakes.
Fun episode.
ES: Glad you think so! EMMETT: ES: EMMETT: I like the title. ES: EMMETT: ---------------- EMMETT: This was a fun story, with the sculptures of Patience coming to life with her memories, and trapping the real Patience. ES: We realized we didn't have an episode that starred Patience, so Summer wrote this one. I think she did a great job with it. EMMETT: I sure agree, and so glad you made sure to do that here. So each Warren has their own episode as the star. ES: We did our best to make sure that not one Warren outshone the others. We hated how first Canon Prue, then Canon Phoebe, then Canon Piper did that. EMMETT: Very glad you tried your best to do that. ES: You'll have to let us know if you think we succeeded. EMMETT: I shall. So far you have. ES: YAY! EMMETT: ES: ----------------------- EMMETT: I'm sure they'd freak out she died, until learning it was a fake Patience. Kind of like Clone Prue's.. ES: Hadn't thought of that, but you're right! EMMETT: ES: EMMETT: I love this title. So cool. ES: Summer did SO well with her titles! EMMETT: ES: ------------------ EMMETT: I really love that Piper and Paige's stories come together, and that the mother wanting to gain custody of her son, is against the warlock. ES: That's what I loved best about this episode, too. EMMETT: Me too. I love stories like that. ES: My favorite Charmed episodes had a number of plotlines that all blended together, like 'Ex Libris'. Although I admit I also loved ones that had just one plotline like 'Morality Bites' and 'That 70s Episode'. The ones I didn't really like were the episodic arcs - there really isn't any of those that I really loved. EMMETT: Ex Libris is so fantastic for that. Yeah, some of the ones with one plotline only are really great episodes. Yeah, Charmed for the most part wasn't very good at the episodic arcs, and it showed for the most part. They didn't really plan or do them as well. It might be why all of my favorite episodes are standalone episodes.
ES: Yeah, thinking about it, I think all of mine are standalones, too. EMMETT: ES: ------------------------- EMMETT: I love that Prudence coaches Phoebe as she tries to writes her very first spell. ES: Me, too. EMMETT: --------------------------- EMMETT: Neat episode I could see Charmed doing in S1, at Quake with the warlock. ES: Again hadn't thought of it that way, but you're right! EMMETT: ES: EMMETT: I love this, as I'm sure Salem really does have a Harvest Festival. I always wanted to visit Salem, maybe one day. Have you ever been, Es? ES: Yes, Salem really does have a Harvest Festival. My fellow TCCers were very good with doing their research. EMMETT: That's so fun. Now, I'm so happy Salem is as much a character on the show as the Warrens. ES: I SO wish San Francisco had been as much of a character on Classic Charmed. EMMETT: Me, too. I really wish it was. I wonder why they picked it as the setting. Makes me think it was done just because they had so much footage of the city they could use, which is funny, since it's filmed in LA. ES: They really would've done better having it be in LA. EMMETT: I agree. -----------------
ES: And, yes, I have been to Salem, back in the 70s when two friends and I did what we called "Our East Coast Blitz" - visiting three East Coast cities - Boston, Washington and New York - in 12 days, so three days in each city,'s not counting the flights between cities. While we were in Boston, we had to go to Salem. EMMETT: That's so great that you have been to Salem. Of course, I'm sure it has changed since then. Also so fun you got to go to those other cities. What did you think of Salem, and what was the Witch Museum like? Was Boston fun? I know they originally wanted the show to be set here.
ES: Really? That I didn't know. It would've been cool if it had been set in either Boston or Salem.
EMMETT: Yes, I read that somewhere a long time ago, that was the original location. It would have been cool if it was set in either those location. Also the series was retitled Charmed after Spelling's suggestion of House of Sisters was dropped. In a way I'm glad, as that title would have no meaning when the show stopped being sisterly or about them.
ES: Well, I don't think it's much about Charmed after Prue dies - then it should be called Whitelighter.
EMMETT: Ain't the truth, it really is a more fitting name.
--------------------
ES: Salem was a typical little town except for the Witch Museum and the Stained-Glass one. It's been SO long, I really don't remember what they were like, just that I enjoyed it. But I think Boston was our favorite of the three cities - we loved following the Freedom Road and riding the Swan Boats! Those I remember! AND THE FOOD!! I remember how great the lobsters were!
EMMETT: Thanks so much for that insight. I'm so happy to hear Boston was your favorite of the three. Now I have something to add to my list of things to do, if I ever go there one day.
ES: I hope you get that chance. I also hope I get a chance to go back when Salem would mean more to me.
EMMETT: Me too. And when I do, I'll be sure to think of EC and especially Charmed, and Melinda Warren. --------------------
EMMETT: I love that Prudence is so into the Harvest Festival (I'm sure its part of her life for so long, its a yearly tradition she cannot miss), and Piper agrees to cater the fest, and Phoebe write a story for it. ES: I like that Patience and Paige are bored with it, giving them a chance to have a subplot that combines with the main one. EMMETT: Me, too. It really worked so well for this story.
ES: EMMETT: -------------- EMMETT: Love this plotline for the innocent. ES: We tried to include an innocent whenever possible. EMMETT: ES: ------------------ EMMETT: The soul collector reminds me of the one going after Mark's soul. ES: Similar, but different. Actually reminded me a bit more of Barbas in 'From Fear to Eternity' and 'Ms. Hellfire'. EMMETT: Now that you mention it, you are right. It is similar to those. ES: EMMETT: ---------- EMMETT: I'm with Prudence here, go both. Better to be safe than sorry. ES: Hehehehe - exactly so! EMMETT: ES: ---------------
EMMETT: I see a joint written episode.
ES: What that means is Sasha wrote a rough draft and then Summer edited it.
EMMETT: Gotcha!
---------------- EMMETT: I loved this one so much, especially because they are not all perfectly happy after the move in. I do love how Prudence and Paige try to help them out, but it works for a bit, but still not fully resolved. ES: EMMETT: ----------- EMMETT: The switching bodies subplot worked so well here. ES: YAY! Glad you think so. EMMETT: ES: -------- EMMETT: I hope we get to see the mother-daughters dinner, just for the three of them, at least once in the future. ES: Since Sasha loved the idea, she made sure it was part of most of her episodes. I don't think anyone else did. EMMETT: That makes sense that she'd do it in hers since she'd remember the most of what she set up here. ES: *nods* Exactly so. EMMETT; ----------- EMMETT: Love that although they made up, they have some other Warrens and Innocents to save.
ES: EMMETT: ------------- EMMETT: That title was amazing. Got a good laugh and smile. ES: ----------------- EMMETT: I see a smart spell, and forgot what Prudence taught her, and it will be bound to backfire. ES: Naturally! No drama if it doesn't. EMMETT: Exactly. --------------------- EMMETT: I love this event, with the annual foodie event. As always their jobs are such fun to follow. I especially like that Prudence is in charge of the event with a not-for-profit organizations where she volunteers, that's actually what one of my aunts who is in her 70s does now after retirement, she volunteers at a animal shelter and loves working with all the dogs, cats and rabbits. ES: That's so cool! I hope to do something like that after I retire. EMMETT: I hope you'll get to do something like that after you retire. ----------------------- EMMETT: I loved the plot with the Banshee, especially it having innocents and then it comes back to their plan over still missing Victor. ES: EMMETT: ---------------- EMMETT: Glad that Phoebe confessed and that Paige told her it will wear off in an hour and her project is due tomorrow, where she'll get the grade she deserves. ES: EMMETT: ------------------------- EMMETT: Yes, innocents must come first. I'm glad they agree to help her with the project, which is better than a spell. ES: Definitely! EMMETT: -------------- EMMETT: I enjoyed this one. ES: YAY! I'm glad you did. EMMETT: ----------- EMMETT: I actually skipped the Christmas episode, as prefer to read that closer to December. Let me know if its just a stand-alone, otherwise, I'll read it next time.EMMETT: So cool, another story with Prudence as a volunteer. I've done volunteer work at a local senior center, as part of a school program. ---------- EMMETT: I see another connecting story to another Warren. I see Paige made quick friends with her remembering her. ----------- EMMETT: Jessica Lewis must be the Warren's Darryl. -------------- EMMETT: Plot twist, they are warlocks working together. I really did think Margaret was their innocent, but I love it. Especially how well these Warlocks used their covers. --------- EMMETT: A common name in Salem, so no wonder it was easy to use for the warlocks, makes it hard for our Warrens to figure out who their innocent is. Figuring out who is the warlock and who is the witch.

Esmeralda Emmett ES: Since everything above this is double-smileyed, I decided to delete it, making it easier for us to reply. I hope that's okay with you. If you'd prefer having the full thing in each post, go ahead and add them back. EMMETT: I love this, as I'm sure Salem really does have a Harvest Festival. ES: For some reason or another, a lot of TV shows seem to like to take place in a different city than where they're filmed, like 'The Mary Tyler Moore Show" taking place in Minneapolis, where I live. But it was so funny because whenever they tried to say something that made it sound like they were in Minneapolis, they'd mess it up. My favorite mistake was them talking about going dancing at "Embers", a popular local restaurant! -----------------

I've volunteered at a cat shelter and also as part of Special Olympics, both Minnesota's and their Olympics. ES: Sorta...I can't say much more without spoiling so I won't. -------------- EMMETT: Plot twist: they are warlocks working together. I really did think Margaret was their innocent, but I love it, especially how well these warlocks used their covers. ES: I think it would've made a very fun episode to watch. --------- EMMETT: A common name in Salem, so no wonder it was easy for the warlocks to use. Makes it harder for our Warrens to figure out who their innocent is. Figuring out who is the warlock and who is the witch. ES: *nods* Exactly so.

Esmeralda Emmett ES: Since everything above this is double-smileyed, I decided to delete it, making it easier for us to reply. I hope that's okay with you. If you'd prefer having the full thing in each post, go ahead and add them back. | EMMETT: That's fine with me. EMMETT: I love this, as I'm sure Salem really does have a Harvest Festival. EMMETT: I never knew that Es, that really must be upsetting to know they messed it all up. They really need to have had at least one writer on the payroll who actually lived in the location the show is set. Someone who can have actual experience with the city. -----------------
ES: And, yes, I have been to Salem, back in the 70s when two friends and I did what we called "Our East Coast Blitz" - visiting three East Coast cities - Boston, Washington and New York - in 12 days, so three days in each city, not counting the flights between cities. EMMETT: Ain't the truth? That really would be a more fitting name. ES: I sure think so! EMMETT: -------------------- ES: Salem was a typical little town except for the Witch Museum and the Stained-Glass one. EMMETT: Me, too. And when I do, I'll be sure to think of EC and especially Charmed, and Melinda Warren. ES: Me, too. EMMETT: --------------------
EMMETT: I love that Prudence is so into the Harvest Festival (I'm sure its part of her life for so long, its a yearly tradition she cannot miss), and Piper agrees to cater the fest, and Phoebe write a story for it.
ES: What that means is Sasha wrote a rough draft and then Summer added to it. EMMETT: Gotcha! ES ---------------- EMMETT: I loved this one so much, especially because they are not all perfectly happy after the move in. EMMETT; ES: ----------- EMMETT: Love that although they made up, they have some other Warrens and Innocents to save.
ES: --------------------- EMMETT: I love this event with the annual foodie event. As always their jobs are such fun to follow. I especially like that Prudence is in charge of the event with a not-for-profit organizations where she volunteers. That's actually what one of my aunts who is in her 70s does now that she's retired. She volunteers at an animal shelter and loves working with all the dogs, cats and rabbits. ES: That's so cool! I hope to do something like that after I retire. EMMETT: I hope you'll get to do something like that after you retire. ES: ----------------------- EMMETT: I loved the plot with the Banshee, especially it having innocents and then it comes back to their pain over still missing Victor. ES: EMMETT: ---------------- EMMETT: Glad that Phoebe confessed and that Paige told her it will wear off in an hour and her project is due tomorrow where she'll get the grade she deserves. ES: EMMETT: ------------------------- EMMETT: Yes, innocents must come first. I'm glad they agree to help her with the project, which is better than a spell. ES: Definitely! EMMETT: ES: -------------- EMMETT: I enjoyed this one. ES: YAY! I'm glad you did. EMMETT: ES: ----------- EMMETT: I actually skipped the Christmas episode, as prefer to read that closer to December. Let me know if it's just a standalone, otherwise, I'll read it next time.
ES: That's funny - I'm not sure if it's a standalone. I think it is, but I'm not sure. If we run into anything that depends on the Christmas episode, I'll tell you what happened. How's that?
EMMETT: Sure, go ahead and tell me what happened if it depends on the Christmas episode.
EMMETT: So cool, another story with Prudence as a volunteer. I've done volunteer work at a local senior center as part of a school program. ES: Cool! I've volunteered at a cat shelter and also as part of Special Olympics, both Minnesota's and their Olympics. The company I worked for sponsored those events and since I had an aunt who was mentally challenged, I did that in her honor. EMMETT: That's so cool that you did that, especially in honor of your aunt. ---------- EMMETT: I see another connecting story to another Warren. I see Paige made quick friends with her remembering her. ES: Exactly so. Summer enjoyed doing those connection stories. EMMETT: I love the connection stories so much in EC. ----------- EMMETT: Jessica Lewis must be the Warren's Darryl. ES: Sorta...I can't say much more without spoiling so I won't. EMMETT: Thanks. -------------- EMMETT: Plot twist: they are warlocks working together. I really did think Margaret was their innocent, but I love it, especially how well these warlocks used their covers. ES: I think it would've made a very fun episode to watch. Figuring out who is the warlock and who is the witch. ES: *nods* Exactly so. EMMETT: EMMETT: I like the title and tagline. ---------------------- EMMETT: I like that the one who died, was who mentored Patience, that in itself, makes this a great personal story for her. I do like the conflict Patience has, especially her emotional state, that even though she's experienced she makes mistakes, and isn't perfect. And Prudence, really is in a pickle, on what she can do without personal gain and a spell backfiring. ---------------- EMMETT: I love this subplot with Piper sick, and Phoebe filling in. Don't I wish they did this over Power of Two, to work around Holly's surgery. Have Piper sick in bed, and Phoebe filling in at Quake with disastrous results, and leaving Prue and Phoebe to deal with the demon or warlock. ---------------- EMMETT: Another mystery for Paige. I love how all the Warrens have their own stories, you lot really don't let any Warren be left on the sidelines. We have our first exposure story, like with that reporter in S1. ---------------- EMMETT: I love this, that even non-magicals, can be dangerous. I sure wished the show did more of these. It's refreshing.

I see Paige made quick friends with her remembering her. ES: Exactly so. Summer enjoyed doing those connection stories. EMMETT: I love the connection stories so much in EC. ES: Me, too! EMMETT: ----------- EMMETT: Jessica Lewis must be the Warren's Darryl. ES: Sorta...I can't say much more without spoiling so I won't. EMMETT: Thanks. ES: EMMETT: -------------- EMMETT: Plot twist: they are warlocks working together. I really did think Margaret was their innocent, but I love it, especially how well these warlocks used their covers. ES: I think it would've made a very fun episode to watch. EMMETT: I agree. ES: EMMETT: --------- EMMETT: A common name in Salem, so no wonder it was easy for the warlocks to use. Makes it harder for our Warrens to figure out who their innocent is. Figuring out who is the warlock and who is the witch. ES: *nods* Exactly so. EMMETT: ES: EMMETT: I like the title and tagline. ES: It's a good one. EMMETT: ---------------------- EMMETT: I like that the one who died, was who mentored Patience, that in itself, makes this a great personal story for her. I do like the conflict Patience has, especially her emotional state, that even though she's experienced she makes mistakes, and isn't perfect. And Prudence, really is in a pickle, on what she can do without personal gain and a spell backfiring. ES: Hehehehe! This is when I'm glad we're doing press releases where we don't have to figure out how to get them out of their messes - we just know they do. EMMETT: It is a good thing you didn't, so you don't, but fun to imagine for readers like me, how they'd get out of it. Sadly, I don't with this one. ES: Hehehehe, I'd love that SO much more than the canon episode, which I didn't like at all - Prue and Phoebe were friends by this point! This episode should've come sooner. EMMETT: It would be much better than that one. You're right, this would be a much better episode much earlier in the season, perhaps around the time Martin was overworking Piper. ---------------- EMMETT: Another mystery for Paige. I love how all the Warrens have their own stories, you lot really don't let any Warren be left on the sidelines. We have our first exposure story, like with that reporter in S1. ES: Exactly. We like using ideas from canon Charmed but doing them differently. EMMETT: Which is fun to spot. ---------------- EMMETT: I love this, that even non-magicals, can be dangerous. I sure wished the show did more of these. It's refreshing. ES: AMEN!!! EMMETT:
EMMETT: Again great title, and I see we have a Demoness in this one, not a warlock.
--------------------
EMMETT: I like that the Petro family are so successful, and of course, in typical fashion there's a catch. Reminds me of that family from Wedding from Hell choosing health over health and beauty. I'd pick the second option thanks, I'd rather have my health than lots of money.
---------------
EMMETT: I like that Prudence was their family doctor back in the day, and she put in a good word for Piper to cater.
----------------
EMMETT: Time to pay up, was it really worth it Petro family. I think not.
------------------
EMMETT: The Demoness of Wealth, love the name.
-------------------
EMMETT: I won't be surprised, if that was a hard thing for them to let go of, with wealth.

Esmeralda Emmett EMMETT: I love this, as I'm sure Salem really does have a Harvest Festival. EMMETT: I never knew that Es, that really must be upsetting to know they messed it all up. They really need to have had at least one writer on the payroll who actually lived in the location the show is set. Someone who can have actual experience with the city. ES: That would make SO much sense! Wouldn't you LOVE to be the person who got that job for your city? EMMETT: That would be such a wonderful job to have, and so much fun. ES: DEFINITELY! -----------------
ES: And, yes, I have been to Salem, back in the 70s when two friends and I did what we called "Our East Coast Blitz" - visiting three East Coast cities - Boston, Washington and New York - in 12 days, so three days in each city, not counting the flights between cities. EMMETT: Ain't the truth? That really would be a more fitting name. ES: I sure think so! EMMETT: ES: -------------------- ES: Salem was a typical little town except for the Witch Museum and the Stained-Glass one.
ES: What that means is Sasha wrote a rough draft and then Summer added to it. EMMETT: Gotcha! ES ---------------- EMMETT: I loved this one so much, especially because they are not all perfectly happy after the move in. EMMETT; ES: ----------- EMMETT: Love that although they made up, they have some other Warrens and Innocents to save.
ES: EMMETT: ----------------------- EMMETT: I loved the plot with the Banshee, especially it having innocents and then it comes back to their pain over still missing Victor.
ES: Sounds good.
EMMETT:
EMMETT: So cool, another story with Prudence as a volunteer. I've done volunteer work at a local senior center as part of a school program. ES: Cool! I've volunteered at a cat shelter and also as part of Special Olympics, both Minnesota's and their International Olympics. The company I worked for sponsored those events and since I had an aunt who was mentally challenged, I did that in her honor. EMMETT: That's so cool that you did that, especially in honor of your aunt. ES: I miss getting to do that, since I don't work at that company any more. It might be something I'll volunteer for (if I can...) after I retire. EMMETT: I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. ES: ---------- EMMETT: I see another connecting story to another Warren. I see Paige made quick friends with her remembering her. ES: Exactly so. Summer enjoyed doing those connection stories. EMMETT: I love the connection stories so much in EC. ES: Me, too! EMMETT: ES: ----------- EMMETT: Jessica Lewis must be the Warren's Darryl. This is when I'm glad we're doing press releases where we don't have to figure out how to get them out of their messes - we just know they do. EMMETT: It is a good thing you didn't, so you don't, but fun to imagine for readers like me, how they'd get out of it. Sadly, I don't with this one. ES: It would have something to do with magic, I'm sure. But what and how? I also have no idea. I'm glad you're having fun spotting them. ---------------- EMMETT: I love this, that even non-magicals, can be dangerous. I sure wished the show did more of these. It's refreshing. ES: AMEN!!! EMMETT: EMMETT: Again great title, and I see we have a Demoness in this one, not a warlock.
ES: But a Demoness of... We NEVER have a demoness with a name...those are always warlocks.
--------------------
EMMETT: I like that the Petro family are so successful, and of course, in typical fashion there's a catch. Reminds me of that family from Wedding from Hell choosing wealth over health and beauty. I'd pick the second option thanks, I'd rather have my health than lots of money.
ES: Me, too. And I'm sure that that's the canon episode that inspired this EC episode, although, of course, we couldn't do exactly like that one...no magical baby in this one!
---------------
EMMETT: I like that Prudence was their family doctor back in the day, and she put in a good word for Piper to cater.
ES: As you know by now, we love bringing up their careers.
----------------
EMMETT: Time to pay up; was it really worth it, Petro family? I think not.
------------------ EMMETT: The Demoness of Wealth, love the name.
ES: We had SUCH fun coming up with names for our demonesses! ------------------- EMMETT: I won't be surprised if that was a hard thing for them to let go of, with wealth.
ES: Probably not.

I love it so much. How scary, can you imagine how we'd feel if the episode ended there with to be continued.

Esmeralda Emmett ES: I'm deleting the ones that are double-smileyed, but I'm going to keep this here to remind us about you "watching" it closer to Christmas and also if there's something in it that I need to tell you in order to understand what's going on in a later episode. EMMETT: I actually skipped the Christmas episode, as prefer to read that closer to December.
ES: Sounds good.
EMMETT:
EMMETT: Again great title, and I see we have a Demoness in this one, not a warlock. ES: But a Demoness of... We NEVER have a demoness with a name...those are always warlocks. EMMETT: Oops, my bad, for not making that more clear, yes should have added Demoness of.. ES: No, you didn't - I think we didn't make it clear. But now you know. -------------------- EMMETT: I like that the Petro family are so successful, and of course, in typical fashion there's a catch. EMMETT: Yes, I'm glad the magical baby wasn't part of it. ES: Me, too. --------------- EMMETT: I like that Prudence was their family doctor back in the day, and she put in a good word for Piper to cater. ES: As you know by now, we love bringing up their careers. EMMETT: This got lost on Charmed as the years went on, I mean all we got was Phoebe's boring job subplots, Paige never had a real job no more, and Piper they barely showed in at P3 doing her job, if it wasn't just for the musical acts. ES: And we hardly saw any of that in the latter years - just that one episode when Piper was drunk. ---------------- EMMETT: Time to pay up; was it really worth it, Petro family? I think not. ES: Me, neither. ------------------ EMMETT: The Demoness of Wealth, love the name. ES: We had SUCH fun coming up with names for our demonesses! EMMETT: ES: ------------------- EMMETT: I won't be surprised if that was a hard thing for them to let go of, with wealth. ES: Probably not. EMMETT: ES: ------------------ EMMETT: Oh no! Poor Phoebe; bad Dean. ES: *nods* Exactly so. ------------ EMMETT: Oh, no; he died. Now, I'm sad. ES: ------------------ EMMETT: We are overdue for a story at Phoebe's college. And we have an innocent to save. ES: That we did - and now you can figure out how you think Phoebe gets out of THIS mess! ---------- EMMETT: What a scary power to have! This warlock is deadly. ES: Definitely! --------- EMMETT: I'm glad Phoebe stayed in the manor with doors and windows locked until Stacey is neutralized with a protective spell around the Manor. ES: ----------- EMMETT: Oh no, what a shocking cliff-hanger to an ad break that would have been! I love it so much. How scary; can you imagine how we'd feel if the episode ended there with to be continued? ES: Oh, you're right! This would've made a GREAT end-of-the-season cliffhanger!

--------------------------------
EMMETT: Love the title. I also love the tagline, now this is a great what if, imagine if Charmed did that.
-----------------
EMMETT: Go Piper, I love that she made the list of The Top 100 Best Restaurants. And she has had a restaurant for a while, even when she was living in San Francisco, so this fits, she'd have years to build up a reputation. ---------------
EMMETT: Oh my, what a horrible dimension, but at the same time quite scary to imagine what warlocks would do.
------------------
EMMETT: The innocent is Andrea, who won't know you Piper and Paige.
------------
EMMETT: I'm glad someone is here to lead a resistance against the warlocks. ------------------
EMMETT: No Elemental Witches in this dimension. I love that they were working on a way to bring the EW's to their world, to vanquish the warlocks who have overtaken Salem.
---------------
EMMETT: Sorry to see Andrea die, but it's not our Andrea.
-------------
EMMETT: I love they figured a way to get to the other dimension.

EMMETT: Gotta admit, this might be the first episode I didn't like too much. It was okay, but I do like that they save some innocents.
ES: Yeah, it's not amongst my favorites either. And this was the first one written by a new member who tried to make her immigrants the star of the entire series! Obviously we could not let that happen! And when I deleted that part of her story, she left. Truthfully...I was glad!
--------------------------------
EMMETT: Love the title. I also love the tagline, now this is a great what if, imagine if Charmed did that.
ES: We thought the same thing...
-----------------
EMMETT: Go Piper, I love that she made the list of The Top 100 Best Restaurants. And she has had a restaurant for a while, even when she was living in San Francisco, so this fits; she'd have years to build up a reputation.
ES: Yup, especially because she's 30, so she's had time to build up that reputation.
---------------
EMMETT: Oh my, what a horrible dimension, but at the same time quite scary to imagine what warlocks would do.
ES: You must like being scared. I sure don't.
------------------
EMMETT: The innocent is Andrea, who won't know you Piper and Paige.
ES: But she does!
------------
EMMETT: I'm glad someone is here to lead a resistance against the warlocks.
ES: I love it being the twins, Allen and Andrea.
------------------
EMMETT: No Elemental Witches in this dimension. I love that they were working on a way to bring the EW's to their world, to vanquish the warlocks who have overtaken Salem.
ES: It reminded me of the coven in 'All Halliwell Eve' who tried to bring the Charmed Ones to them.
---------------
EMMETT: Sorry to see Andrea die, but it's not our Andrea.
ES: Nope; it's not.
-------------
EMMETT: I love they figured a way to get to the other dimension.
ES: Me, too.

Esmeralda Emmett ES: I'm deleting the ones that are double-smileyed, but I'm going to keep this here to remind us about you "watching" it closer to Christmas and also if there's something in it that I need to tell you in order to understand what's going on in a later episode. EMMETT: A great idea. ES: Glad you agree. EMMETT: ----------------- EMMETT: I actually skipped the Christmas episode, as prefer to read that closer to December.
EMMETT: Yes, now I know. ES: -------------------- EMMETT: I like that the Petro family are so successful, and of course, in typical fashion there's a catch. EMMETT: Yes, I'm glad the magical baby wasn't part of it. ES: Me, too. EMMETT: --------------- EMMETT: I like that Prudence was their family doctor back in the day, and she put in a good word for Piper to cater. EMMETT: Exactly. And when it came to S6-S8, magic school took even more priority over any of their jobs. ES: Again you're absolutely right about that, when it never should've been introduced. It made absolutely no sense! EMMETT: It sure didn't. I'm sure they added it due to the success of Harry Potter at the time. When they created Magic School, Harry Potter had been around with the movies for a couple of years. ES: Yup, that was my thought, too, since I LOVE the movies, even though I didn't like the books. EMMETT: Me too, I love the movies. I have the complete boxset. ---------------- EMMETT: Time to pay up; was it really worth it, Petro family? I think not. ES: Me, neither. EMMETT: ES: ------------------ EMMETT: The Demoness of Wealth, love the name. EMMETT: ------------ EMMETT: Oh, no; he died. Now, I'm sad. ES: EMMETT: ------------------ EMMETT: We are overdue for a story at Phoebe's college. And we have an innocent to save. ES: That we did - and now you can figure out how you think Phoebe gets out of THIS mess! EMMETT: ES: ---------- EMMETT: What a scary power to have! This warlock is deadly. ES: Definitely! EMMETT: ES: --------- EMMETT: I'm glad Phoebe stayed in the manor with doors and windows locked until Stacey is neutralized with a protective spell around the Manor. ES: EMMETT: ----------- EMMETT: Oh no, what a shocking cliff-hanger to an ad break that would have been! I love it so much. How scary; can you imagine how we'd feel if the episode ended there with to be continued? ES: Oh, you're right! This would've made a GREAT end-of-the-season cliffhanger! EMMETT: It sure would, and keep me on the edge of my seat until the next season, wondering what will happen next. It's why I felt the show restricted itself too much with the manor door having to close every finale. ES: Agreed totally. Doing it for the first season and the last season made sense (although they didn't always know which season that would be...), but not every one! EMMETT: Exactly. ES: EMMETT: I do love the town event for Salem's founders day celebration. ES: I thought you might. Sasha sure did. She did more checking into Salem than any of my other cowriters. EMMETT: I'm so glad she did. How much that I can expect this in her episodes. ES: -------------------- EMMETT: I love that Andrea Halliwell has visited them for this, as we haven't seen her since the funeral in the pilot episode. ES: Well, we didn't want her to take over but at the same time, she becomes important as their aunt with no powers. EMMETT: The fact she doesn't live in Salem tells me she won't become a star, but a fun recurring character who shows up once or twice a season. But having someone with no powers is a good thing to have to balance out the Warrens. ES: *nods* That's what we thought. EMMETT: ------------------- EMMETT: Mary Ann Warren using the spirit board with a warning, and in typical fashion of course, they can't do anything when two Warrens are pulled into the past. ES: And a quick teaser. You've now heard the names of the characters who Shannen and Alyssa will play... EMMETT: Thanks for the tease; can't wait to see them appear. I do love the teases and hints with them before they appear. ES: Great! I'm glad they're acting as teasers and not spoiers. EMMETT: ------------------------ EMMETT: Poor Andrea, being the target of the others turning evil and wanting to harm her. I'm scared. ES: Especially because she doesn't have any powers. EMMETT: Yes. ES: ------------------------ EMMETT: I like that Piper and Phoebe meet other ancestors and learn they are hunted down by descendants of a warlock and Jenna Warren. ES: But they're NOT the descendants of a warlock AND Jenna Warren. They are descendants of the warlock Jenna Warren! EMMETT: Oh, thanks, I misread that. ES: Since it's important to the story, I wanted to make sure you caught that. EMMETT: Thank you. ------------------------ EMMETT: I liked this time travel episode. EC's first. ES: Yup, but not their last...and unlike Charmed, theirs are full story arcs, like Charmed's should've been, especially S6. I may have felt differently about Chris if I knew what happened in the future. I sure do in certain fanfics about that. My all-time favorite fanfic is about that. EMMETT: I love that there is a story-arc on that. Can't wait to read it. Like you, that is what they should have done with S6. It's hard to care for Chris and his dark future when we didn't see it to show how the sisters died.
ES: Exactly. How that was handled in that fanfic I mentioned....*shudder* Those scenes haunted me for days! What I like best about Kalvana's 'Future Consequences' is that unlike so many other Chris-fics, this one isn't a next-gen fic; it's truly a CHARMED story, starring the Charmed Ones.

And when I deleted that part of her story, she left. Truthfully...I was glad! EMMETT: Oh no, that wouldn't have been good at all. Yes, you couldn't let that happen. -------------------------------- EMMETT: Love the title. I also love the tagline, now this is a great what if, imagine if Charmed did that. ES: We thought the same thing... EMMETT: ----------------- EMMETT: Go Piper, I love that she made the list of The Top 100 Best Restaurants. EMMETT: Exactly. --------------- EMMETT: Oh my, what a horrible dimension, but at the same time quite scary to imagine what warlocks would do. ES: You must like being scared. I sure don't. EMMETT: I don't mind being scared and seeing scenes that leave me suspenseful. Just very gruesome horror and death like scenes I don't like. Funny, it was the opposite when I was younger, I hated being scared. I guess as I got older, I become more and more used to the scariness of things around me. LOL, but seeing spiders and snakes, oh, yes, that will always scare and freak me out, I'll never get used to that. And I see why you graded Size Matters lower due to being scared, If you were not scared, I'm sure it might have been graded a bit higher. Now I know. ------------------ EMMETT: The innocent is Andrea, who won't know you Piper and Paige. ES: But she does! EMMETT: Yes, I figured that out fast as I got reading more. ------------ EMMETT: I'm glad someone is here to lead a resistance against the warlocks. ES: I love it being the twins, Allen and Andrea. EMMETT: Me too. ------------------ EMMETT: No Elemental Witches in this dimension. I love that they were working on a way to bring the EW's to their world, to vanquish the warlocks who have overtaken Salem. But, reading this, It makes me feel like I'm living in this universe more. ----------------- EMMETT: It certainly is the opposite of Supergirl. I sure wished Supergirl stayed on CBS, it might have been better if stayed. S1 which I saw was my favorite, It followed Charmed, S4/S5 is when it got worse. ----------- EMMETT: And I agree, CBS would be a great place for the older audience. ----------------- EMETT: I love hearing from Connie Burge. ----------- EMMETT: The actress playing Prudence is right. LOL, she probably would have been killed off, so typical for a CW show. --------------- EMMETT: Burge is making me excited for Season 2 Es, especially her teases without revealing plots. ------------------------------ EMMETT: This so cool, that she got an honor for 20 years service. Typical co-worker, can't just be happy for her. ---------------------------- EMMETT: I do like that Patience has an episode with a warlock at her work, we haven't had that yet. Now it all makes sense, I do like this story with the warlock warlock sabotaging Patience's darkroom. --------------------- EMMETT: Oh no, poor Patience in a trance and taking photos of SPD that nobody wants the public to see. ---------------------------- EMMETT: Spring break, perfect timing. You guys are so great with adding stuff in, that gives us a sense when the timeline is. Sorry Phoebe couldn't go to Boston with her friends, maybe next year. ------------------------- EMMETT: I love that we have a subplot with an innocent that needs to be saved. ---------------------------- EMMETT: Good thing Paige had the SSS database to help. I hope he controls his drinking for his children. ---------------------------- EMMETT: Not looking good for Patience, OMG, it just gets worse for Patience. ---------------------------- EMMETT: A fun episode. I enjoyed it.

I'll bet those would REALLY make you live in that universe! ----------------- EMMETT: It certainly is the opposite of Supergirl. I sure wish Supergirl stayed on CBS. It might have been better if stayed. S1 which I saw was my favorite, It followed Charmed, S4/S5 is when it got worse. ES: I think I've told you that I never watched that because Supergirl was my favorite superhero when I was young, and this one is NOT Supergirl - she's Superwoman! It's also why I haven't watched Superman and Lois. I *did* watch the first couple of seasons of 'Smallville', but then it became SO different than what I count as canon that I had to stop. ----------- EMMETT: And I agree, CBS would be a great place for the older audience. ES: Yup! ----------------- EMMETT: I love hearing from Connie Burge. ES: We LOVED making her both our executive producer AND showrunner! ----------- EMMETT: The actress playing Prudence is right. LOL, she probably would have been killed off, so typical for a CW show. ES: Definitely. We had fun making the actresses (we called them that way so that any viewer can imagine whoever they want to play them. Me, I imagine Jennifer Rhodes as Prudence, Finola Hughes as Patience, Alyssa as Paige (since we let Prue and Holly play the ancestors - and she always seemed the most interested in a reboot), Emmalee Thompson as Piper, Megan Corletto as Phoebe (fun imagining the actresses who played Young Prue and Little Piper grown up and playing Warrens!) and Rebecca Balding as Andrea. --------------- EMMETT: Burge is making me excited for Season 2, Es, especially her teases without revealing plots. ES: Oh, for sure I'll bet you'd enjoy reading the press releases! When you reach the end of S1, you may want to flip over to the full thread that has both the episodes and the press releases. EMMETT: This so cool, that she got an honor for 20 years service. Typical co-worker, can't just be happy for her. ES: That storyline has been used by many shows, but we liked how it fit ours, especially when we wanted an episode that starred Patience. ---------------------------- EMMETT: I do like that Patience has an episode with a warlock at her work, we haven't had that yet. I don't remember if she gets to or not. ------------------------- EMMETT: I love that we have a subplot with an innocent that needs to be saved. ES: We tried to include one of those as often as possible, since we hated how canon started forgetting about them. ---------------------------- EMMETT: Good thing Paige had the SSS database to help. I hope he controls his drinking for his children. ES: Me, too. And I hope Paige can help him. ---------------------------- EMMETT: Not looking good for Patience, OMG, it just gets worse for Patience. ES: That it does! ---------------------------- EMMETT: A fun episode. I enjoyed it. ES: YAY! I'm glad you did.

I'm glad you can read scary stuff, even if you can't watch it. ----------- EMMETT: And I see why you graded Size Matters lower due to being scared, If you were not scared, I'm sure it might have been graded a bit higher. Now I know. ES: Yup, exactly so. EMMETT: ------------------ EMMETT: The innocent is Andrea, who won't know you, Piper and Paige. ES: But she does! EMMETT: Yes, I figured that out fast as I got reading more. ES: Hehehehe! I LOVE that twist! EMMETT: ------------ EMMETT: I'm glad someone is here to lead a resistance against the warlocks. ES: I love it being the twins, Allen and Andrea. EMMETT: Me, too. ES: EMMETT: ------------------ EMMETT: No Elemental Witches in this dimension. I love that they were working on a way to bring the EW's to their world, to vanquish the warlocks who have overtaken Salem. ES: It reminded me of the coven in 'All Halliwell Eve' who tried to bring the Charmed Ones to them. EMMETT: It does, doesn't it? ES: Yup! EMMETT: EMMETT: Of course, I had a feeling it would be renewed. But, reading this, It makes me feel like I'm living in this universe more. ES: YAY! You may want to read all of Pheebs' wonderful "articles" (most based on the rip-off but changed to fit EC) after you're done with the episode. I'll bet those would REALLY make you live in that universe! EMMETT: I really hope to do that after I'm done with the episode, so I can really feel like I'm living in this universe. EMMETT: I understand why you haven't liked it. I get you with her being named Supergirl not Superwoman, but get why they didn't name her that, it was likely branding, and Supergirl is a well known name, making her Superwoman wouldn't attract people who love Kara. I have seen some of Superman and Lois but only the first two episodes, then got missed the rest due to other commitments, hoping to get the DVD and see the whole season. I really like it, it did a great job than the newer movies, as the writing really made Superman so dark. No wonder they never made any more films since. ----------- EMMETT: And I agree, CBS would be a great place for the older audience. ES: Yup! EMMETT: ----------------- EMMETT: I love hearing from Connie Burge. ES: We LOVED making her both our executive producer AND showrunner! EMMETT: I love it so much. EMMETT: You had so much fun with that, I really liked your casting. EMMETT: I think, I'll just do that when I get to the end of S1, and flip over to the full thread for both. EMMETT: This so cool, that she got an honor for 20 years service. Typical co-worker, can't just be happy for her. ES: That storyline has been used by many shows, but we liked how it fit ours, especially when we wanted an episode that starred Patience. EMMETT: It sure has, but its so relatable, and I'm glad you used it, for this one, so it can star Patience. ---------------------------- EMMETT: I do like that Patience has an episode with a warlock at her work, we haven't had that yet. Now it all makes sense, I do like this story with the warlock sabotaging Patience's darkroom. ES: EMMETT: --------------------- EMMETT: Oh no, poor Patience in a trance and taking photos of SPD that nobody wants the public to see. ES: Yup! EMMETT: ---------------------------- EMMETT: Spring break, perfect timing. You guys are so great with adding stuff in, that gives us a sense when the timeline is. Sorry Phoebe couldn't go to Boston with her friends, maybe next year. ES: Maybe. I don't remember if she gets to or not. EMMETT: I'll keep reading to find out. ------------------------- EMMETT: I love that we have a subplot with an innocent that needs to be saved. ES: We tried to include one of those as often as possible, since we hated how canon started forgetting about them. EMMETT: I sure didn't like that they forgot it in canon. Glad you don't forget in EC, they have appeared often. ---------------------------- EMMETT: Good thing Paige had the SSS database to help. I hope he controls his drinking for his children. ES: Me, too. And I hope Paige can help him. EMMETT: ---------------------------- EMMETT: Not looking good for Patience, OMG, it just gets worse for Patience. ES: That it does! EMMETT: ---------------------------- EMMETT: A fun episode. I enjoyed it. ES: YAY! I'm glad you did. EMMETT: ---------------------------- EMMETT: I love that Prudence tends to their herb garden, and spring planting. I love how EC, really gives you a great idea of time passing, that I truly feel like I'm living a year of their life alongside them.
--------------------------- EMMETT: Oh no, that Issac Flower is no good, it is deadly and draining Phoebe and making her weaker, that shop keeper was trouble.
--------------------------- EMMETT: Of course, the free samples, are going to drain everybody. I love how it found its way into Piper's restaurant and Salem Social Services
--------------------------- EMMETT: So glad, Prudence knew what's up and stopped Patience.
--------------------------- EMMETT: Oh I love how this connects to wood nymphs, with what the warlock was doing to endanger the local forests.
--------------------------- EMMETT: I really love that they are invisible to all humans, including witches, and a great use of the Earth Element allowing PATIENCE to hear and communicate with them but no see them. I really love that, it makes their elemental powers important. I hope this becomes a theme, where each Warren has an episode where that happens.
--------------------------- EMMETT: I did enjoy this one, especially the way magical creatures were handled. I assume Pheebs edited the story Colton originally wrote, since her name comes after his.

ES: Sounds good.
EMMETT:
EMMETT: I liked this time travel episode. EMMETT: Wonderful, its a good thing it stars the Charmed Ones, not Chris. ES: Definitely. He definitely costars, but I don't think he overshadows the Charmed Ones (especially Phoebe and Paige...) the way he does in so many other fics. EMMETT: I'm so happy to hear it. ES: EMMETT: Gotta admit, this might be the first episode I didn't like too much.
EMMETT: Oh no, that wouldn't have been good at all. Yes, you couldn't let that happen.
ES: I suggested she do a spin-off where the Elemental Witches could guest star, but she never did her own series. Well, maybe she did at a different site, because she left the Cafe.
EMMETT: I see, yeah, probably on another site, but you'll never know, because she left the Cafe.
ES: *sigh* Exactly so.
--------------------------------
EMMETT: Oh my, what a horrible dimension! But at the same time quite scary to imagine what warlocks would do.
ES: And I've never gotten used to that and refuse to watch anything that gets scary. It's funny but I can READ scary stuff, just not watch it. That's why I'm seriously considering skipping some of the scarier episodes during our re-watch and just read the transcripts.
EMMETT: That's a good idea to do that and skip those. I'm glad you can read scary stuff, even if you can't watch it.

EMMETT: I went back, and seen there's a few that occur between the ones I'm up to reading next, so going to read those. Thanks for warning me, she didn't do too many in the other seasons. I've booked marked the one with both press releases and articles to now use from now on in my readings. ----------------- EMMETT: It certainly is the opposite of Supergirl. EMMETT: Hate to say it Es, but I think you'll never get the Kara you grew up and loved on-screen ever again, I just don't see Hollywood turning her back into what she was like in the 60s and 70s. Just like this new rebooted Supergirl in the movies (apparently the one on SG the show wasn't good enough for Hollywood, so they insist on rebooting her right away), has to be more diverse, POC, and gay. That really seems to be more important in Hollywood these days, than telling good stories. ----------------- EMMETT: I have seen some of Superman and Lois but only the first two episodes, then missed the rest due to other commitments, so I'm hoping to get the DVD and see the whole season. And, I'm sure in our EC universe, the EC fans would be excited on the EC proboards forum, or EC sub-board at the Cafe. LOL ---------------------------------- EMMETT: Connie: I'm so excited for this too. I can't wait. It hypes up the end of S1 for me. ---------------------------------- EMMETT: I love how the article, still keeps their roles a secret, and now fans have speculate, including me. I honestly wonder if they are playing two villains this time around. ---------------------------------- EMMETT: I love the title so much. ----------------- EMMETT: Oh, I wonder if the Blair Witch is real in this one. --------------- EMMETT: I love how they laugh it off as just a myth, but when she tells them about it more, their laughter turns into curiosity. ----------------- EMMETT: I love the twist that its not even a witch or warlock, but the spirit of a wailing child. --------------- EMMETT: I love now that they have a mother and son to reunite and cross over. -------------- EMMETT: Nearly done with S1.

ES: Sounds good.
EMMETT:
EMMETT: Oh my, what a horrible dimension! But at the same time quite scary to imagine what warlocks would do.
ES: It's probably due to the fact that I don't visualize so I don't seen anything that can scare me. All part of being born with something wrong with the right side of my brain, so I'm very left-brained - very logical while not being able to visualize. It also means although I can see out of both eyes, my brain only looks out of my right one. So that means I don't have much depth perception. But remembering that my mother weighed less when she conceived me than when she gave birth to me, I feel extremely blessed that that's the only thing wrong with me. I'm a miracle!
EMMETT: Of course, I had a feeling it would be renewed. But reading this, it makes me feel like I'm living in this universe more. ES: If they help you do that, for sure you'll want to read the press releases from S1. Unfortunately Pheebs didn't do a lot of them for the other seasons. EMMETT: I went back, and seen there's a few that occur between the ones I'm up to reading next, so going to read those. Thanks for warning me, she didn't do too many in the other seasons. I've bookmarked the one with both press releases and articles to now use from now on in my readings. ES: Yes, reading and reviewing the S1 press releases after you're done reading the S1 episodes will be a great way to celebrate finishing reading the first season. EMMETT: I understand why you haven't liked it. I get you with her being named Supergirl not Superwoman, but get why they didn't name her that, it was likely branding, and Supergirl is a well known name, making her Superwoman wouldn't attract people who love Kara. ES: Probably. But for me, she's nothing like Kara. ES: Oh, I accepted those ideas around the time the rip-off showed up. If there's a reboot of something I loved, I'll just stick to the classic version. I have a couple of books that have 100 issues of my favorite comics and I LOVE re-reading them and remembering MY Kal-El and Kara! ----------------- EMMETT: I have seen some of Superman and Lois but only the first two episodes, then missed the rest due to other commitments, so I'm hoping to get the DVD and see the whole season. I really like it. It did a greater job than the newer movies, as the writing really made Superman so dark. No wonder they never made any more films since. ES: Oh, yes. I also hated them making him so dark - that's *not* Kal-El! I watched S&L and again didn't really care for it. It could've been great, but I hate the extra people they bring in. EMMETT: I know. I don't know why Hollywood has to make there characters dark, especially in these current times. That's not what I want to watch. But if the new generation prefers it that way, good luck to them. ES: It just makes being evil okay. And I HATE that! --------- EMMETT: The actress playing Prudence is right. LOL, she probably would have been killed off, so typical for a CW show. ES: Definitely. We had fun making the actresses (we called them that way so that any viewer can imagine whoever they want to play them. Me, I imagine Jennifer Rhodes as Prudence, Finola Hughes as Patience, Alyssa as Paige (since we let Prue and Holly play the ancestors - and she always seemed the most interested in a reboot), Emmalee Thompson as Piper, Megan Corletto as Phoebe (fun imagining the actresses who played Young Prue and Little Piper grown up and playing Warrens!) and Rebecca Balding as Andrea.) part of the show in Pheebs' articles. She did such a great job with them. EMMETT: You had so much fun with that. I really liked your casting. ES: I'm glad you do. If you want to think of them as playing those roles, go for it! EMMETT: I will. ES: YAY! I like to think that this is what would truly make it a reboot that both old fans and new fans could enjoy. EMMETT: I think I'll just do that when I get to the end of S1, and flip over to the full thread for both. ES: YAY! Perfect! EMMETT: EMMETT: I love that we have a subplot with an innocent that needs to be saved. ES: We tried to include one of those as often as possible, since we hated how canon started forgetting about them. EMMETT: I sure didn't like that they forgot it in canon. Glad you don't forget in EC; they have appeared often. ES: Glad you've noticed. We wanted their mission to always be helping innocents, not vanquishing the Source of All Evil, who isn't part of EC at all. EMMETT: Very good to know. ES:
EMMETT: Of course, the free samples are going to drain everybody. I love how it found its way into Piper's restaurant and Salem Social Services.
ES: We love including their jobs as often as possible. Those are the sort of things that Pheebs added to the "press release" that Colton didn't understand. He's another one who only wrote a couple press releases and then left. EMMETT: I'm glad Pheebs managed to fix all of that. ES: --------------------------- EMMETT: So glad Prudence knew what's up and stopped Patience.
ES: Something else Pheebs added...
EMMETT: Happy she did. I get the feeling, I'd have not liked the original version of this one too much.
ES: I certainly didn't. You can tell which are the ones where the author never helped us brainstorm but just tried writing their own episode. Hmmm....sounds like Tim! SOOOOO glad he was already banned when we started so he could never write one that would make his version of Rex and Hannah the stars!
--------------------------- EMMETT: I really love that they are invisible to all humans, including witches, and a great use of the Earth Element allowing PATIENCE to hear and communicate with them but not see them. I really love that; it makes their elemental powers important. I hope this becomes a theme, where each Warren has an episode where that happens.
ES: Pheebs was determined to make that happen, especially because we wanted this first season to help readers get to know the Warrens, like S1 helped us get to know the Halliwells. This seemed the perfect one for Patience's Earth element.
EMMETT: I'm so glad. It worked out so well and is why I loved this one.
ES: Me, too.
EMMETT: So glad I switched to the full episodes + articles. ES: Ah, I wondered why there was all the extra space between the lines - it happens when you copy from the Preview Pane rather than the BBCode Pane. ---------------- EMMETT: I'd be jumping for joy reading this online. And I'm sure in our EC universe, the EC fans would be excited on the EC ProBoards forum, or EC sub-board at the Cafe. LOL ES: Hehehehe, oh, do I LOVE that idea! ---------------------------------- EMMETT: I love how the article still keeps their roles a secret, and now fans can speculate, including me. I honestly wonder if they are playing two villains this time around. ES: You'll have to just keep on reading! ---------------------------------- EMMETT: I love the title so much. ES: Me, too. ----------------- EMMETT: Oh, I wonder if the Blair Witch is real in this one. ES: The title should've let you know that NOPE! --------------- EMMETT: I love how they laugh it off as just a myth, but when she tells them about it more, their laughter turns into curiosity. ES: ----------------- EMMETT: I love the twist that it's not even a witch or warlock, but the spirit of a wailing child. ES: Again, the hint was in the title... --------------- EMMETT: I love now that they have a mother and son to reunite and cross over. ES: Me, too. I would've been sniffling at the end. -------------- EMMETT: Nearly done with S1. ES: That you are! You ALMOST get to find out what parts Shannen and Alyssa played!

EMMETT: Of course, I had a feeling it would be renewed. But reading this, it makes me feel like I'm living in this universe more. ES: YAY! EMMETT: Me too. So glad. I'm sure he'd try to use the Rex and Hannah actors, as new characters in big roles.
--------------------------- EMMETT: I really love that they are invisible to all humans, including witches, and a great use of the Earth Element allowing PATIENCE to hear and communicate with them but not see them. And I'm sure in our EC universe, the EC fans would be excited on the EC ProBoards forum, or EC sub-board at the Cafe. LOL ES: Hehehehe, oh, do I LOVE that idea! EMMETT: I also am thinking of weekly watch threads, like the re-watches. Members pops on to watch live in a thread. Or re-watching the seasons in the summer when the DVD comes out, so everyone can join at ther exact same time. ---------------------------------- EMMETT: I love how the article still keeps their roles a secret, and now fans can speculate, including me. I honestly wonder if they are playing two villains this time around. ES: You'll have to just keep on reading!
EMMETT: ---------------------------------- EMMETT: I love the title so much. ES: Me, too.
EMMETT: ----------------- EMMETT: Oh, I wonder if the Blair Witch is real in this one. ES: The title should've let you know that NOPE! --------------- EMMETT: I love now that they have a mother and son to reunite and cross over. ES: Me, too. I would've been sniffling at the end. EMMETT: -------------- EMMETT: Nearly done with S1. ES: That you are! You ALMOST get to find out what parts Shannen and Alyssa played! EMMETT:
EMMETT: WOW! They sound exactly like how I'd expect Shannen and Alyssa to write like on social media.
-----------
EMMETT: Elemental Charmed's executive producer, Connie Burge, told the press, "I couldn't be more excited for fans of Classic Charmed to see the season finale. The fact that we got both Shannen and Alyssa back is beyond amazing". Me too, Connie. I'm so excited.
------------------------------
EMMETT: I can just see The CW promoting this one in the trailers, with special guest stars of "Classic Charmed" Shannen Doherty and Alyssa Milano.
--------------------------------
EMMETT: Well done. What a great season. Enjoy the move to CBS.
----------------------------------
EMMETT: I love the tease for these last two episodes.
--------------------------
EMMETT: So excited to find out about the dark secret Paige is hiding from her nieces.
--------------------------------
EMMETT:: Also the actor interviews are so much fun. I'm imagining myself reading this at the EC spoilers only sub-board. ------------------------------------- EMMETT: I remember Bloody Mary in other shows, with the real legend. She's scary. --------------- EMMETT: Paige is her next target, in addition to saving their innocent. This is great drama. --------------- EMMETT: A cliffhanger. Looks like someone is hunting down witches in Salem. This stranger looks like a big bad. --------------------
EMMETT: I see you contributed to this one based on Pheebs.
------------------ EMMETT: I love they tour the Salerm. I can just picture them correcting every fact that is wrong. ----------------- EMMETT: Shannen and Alyssa are playing their ancestors Mary Ann Warren and her sister Jenna Warren. Perfect casting, and fits so well. They can't take over the new stars of EC, as both are dead. ------------------- EMMETT: Another witch is murdered and hung. This warlock better watch out, our Elemental Witches are onto them. --------------------
EMMETT: I love that through flashbacks we learn about the life and death of their ancestor Mary Ann and Jenna Warren. I'm picturing our Warrens, doing a spell to be visitors of the past, just observing.
------------------
EMMETT: A twist. A wich hunter, is the one murdering the witches believed to be descendants of the Salem Witch Trial victims.
------------------
EMMETT: I really like that the witch hunter is a descendant of one of the men responsible for Mary Ann's hanging.
------------------
EMMETT: I love that they use the five Elements to find the burial site of the Salem Witches. Very fitting.
--------------------
EMMETT: What a great cliffhanger, leaving us hanging on who is poessessing Prudence. I'd be dying to know all summer, and in our little universe, you know, I'd be in the spoilers thread of EC, every day looking for leaks.
---------------------------------
EMMETT: And that's a wrap with S1 of EC. Now that it's december, I'm going to go back and read the Christmas episode next time.
