I'm about to start one very sensitive subject So there's a page on twitter about charmed ( charmed_reunion) and two fangirls made this theory about phoebe potentially being bisexual which blew my mind. And the surreal thing is alyssa comfirmed it. I mean im among those people who loved the chemistry between alyssa and charisma and b eing gay myself this post affected me and i want to know whether phoebe could actually had any potential to be gay or it was just alyssa supporting the lgbt's becauze its the sing of times, even though i think alyssa has openly supported the lgbt she even won the Ariadne Getty Ally Award back in 2018. I believe the plot back then wasnt exactly involved with gays and lesbians and it was more about the needs of the plot. For example remeber when piper said in the fourth sister episode ''she is probably at her gay lesbian groop right about now'' she obviously said that becauze she wanted leo to lose his interest for phoebe, it didnt hint anything about phoebe even though it could easily fit phoebe's open mind character hanging out with lgbt people and the funny episode scry hard when two of her colleagues in bay mirror were kinda flirting and phoebe shorta brought them closer in a goofy way. Same thing happend during the kira episode, kira and phoebe wanted something from each other which was important for their livings kira wanted to be human and phoebe wanted confirmation about the avatars so i dont think the writers were interested making #phoera (phoebe and kira) an actual thing they were just using each other. It was just phoebe's empathetic nature that gave this couple-to-be vibe between her and kira. On the other hand i think alyssa and kira have great action-reaction with each other and thats why they could be a couple for a couple of episodes compare to the unstable leslie arc.here are the links. I want to take this opportunity to talk a bit about prue too. Regardless Prue being the least favorite sister of all i think that people are unnecessarily hard about how the episode where she turned into a man '' hasn't aged very well''. I think the ''she's a man baby a man'' episode resembles the difficulties of understanding the qualities and quirks of each sex, how had dating is in general and how hard is to walk on each others' shoes which also resembles how trans people struggle with their new identity to fit in being accepted, loved and understand the opposite sex. Personally i love this episode and prue rocked her trans appearance

So, I believe Piper's comment hasn't aged well. As she said it as an insult rather than a compliment, but I digress. I don't think Charisma Carpenter was the only one Alyssa Milano had good chemistry with. I do think Danielle Harris was equally on par. Granted, Danielle Harris played a teenager (Aviva), and Alyssa Milano played an adult (Phoebe), but Danielle Harris was (and still is) an adult, during the filming of S1E7 The Fourth Sister. And, their chemistry meshed well, IMO. Though, Charisma Carpenter is correct. Phoebe was trying to manipulate her, for information. The Valkyries, in S6E1-2 Valhalley of the Dolls, Pt 1 & 2, did give me lesbian vibes but also fetish vibes. So, their relationships and closeness are often glossed over. Prue being the least favorite sister of all I'm surprised to read this, as I don't feel that she is. Most of the Charmed fandom (that I've run across) worship her, like a Goddess and tend to trash talk the Paige Era because of it. I think Prue is severely overrated but moving on: i think that people are unnecessarily hard about how the episode where she turned into a man '' hasn't aged very well''. Personally i love this episode I've heard this, too. To the point the episode is considered to be "transphobic", but I agree with you.
I have been learning how to make GIFs, and I made a little bit (not a lot) of some LGBTQ+-ish GIFs: Prue & Hanna(I do think Prue and Hanna are cute, together) S1E6 "The Wedding from Hell" The ValkyriesS6E1 "Valhalley of the Dolls, Pt 1" S6E2 "Vallhalley of the Dolls, Pt 2" Phoebe & KyraS7E10 "Witchness Protection"
Do I think Phoebe is bisexual? More like bi-curious, as she seemed to lean more towards men than women.

I think if the show was made today Phoebe would 100% be bisexual. She probably experimented when she was in NYC.

Moving this conversation over here: Phoebe gave bi energy anyway and I feel in a show in san Francisco there needed more LGBTQ representation Xena and Buffy nailed representation Charmed could've pushed that envelope out a lot moreso I feel ... So the excuse of it was the 90s doesn't cut the mustard overall for me sadly ...charmed could've easily had LGBTQ innocents to protect or villains or regulars ...have Darryl be gay with his partner and adopted kids or something ?! Wyatt as adult form or something ?! Let Phoebe be with the seer in season 7 and be iconic solving crimes using their psychic and premonition powers ... So much untapped potential there in those seasons Absolutely THIS I mean lunchking it's bizarre how the marketing went all out there trying to get male gaze not male gays hehe I reckon spelling was definitely a limiting factor there in terms of having more progressive stories in charmed like gay capital of the universe and diverse in backgrounds not every male had to be a love interest for the sisters Wasted potential there imo to really venture these things and explore different threats I actually lied, earlier, there's more than just Brenda (from S7E4 "Charrrmed!"), as the show's LGBTQ+ representation. There were the two men, Phoebe worked with, in S7E17 "Scry Hard" who are gay, and one of them was flirting with the other. And, Phoebe was subbing in for Elise, and told the clueless one, that the other likes him, so I guess they ended up together, in the end...? Also, IDK if this counts, but Janna & Jayda from S5E17 "Lucky Charmed" seemed rather close, too. Especially for demons. But, yes, I always felt Phoebe was bi or bi-curious.

I also see potential in Kyra that we never got from Cole with his human arc. Having an ex-demon as part of the cast could've been fun.

She was so good on Buffy/Angel. I was shocked and happy when she joined Charmed. It was crazy to see a big actor from Buffy on Charmed (yes I know we've had others, but she was a main character, so it was big promotion I'd imagine).

I think I remember Witchness Protection was most watched episode of season 7 due to the publicity ...I know she had two other episodes but that one was key Phoebe is a queer icon just wished they tapped into it a whole lot more Much like golden girls was a catharsis of 4 gay men represented as 4 older women ... This felt like each sister encapsulated an aspect of homosexual men AND women and queer identity and also combined with femininity, feminism and identity in surviving this world

Yeah, her appearances in the other two are very minimal. Sometimes I forget she was in 3 episodes, because her other two episodes are more like cameos. How do you think the reception would've been if they really did make Phoebe Bi and went there or with Kyra. Forget Spelling and producers not being diverse to do it. But would it stand out and give the show more publicity. I know they had a mixed reception with Buffy when they did Willow/Tara but that was in 2000, so this would be give years later. I don't know how the reception would be for a lead character like Phoebe. The only lead to do so was Ellen in the 90s. Willow and the guy (forgot his name) from Buffy and Dawson's Creek were supporting characters, not one of the leads. So it's a different kind of exposure.

This does come back to Phoebe's BABY craze. It wasn't for a man, it was the baby.
As an aroace, I, too, would love a child. Just don't need nor want the partner.
While I don't agree with the given graphic of queer identities - now I'm thinking about ace/demi Prue and I'm here for it!

This is the reason why I wanted Phoebe being the one who was pregnant in season five, she would've had the child that needed to be protected and it would have made sense that the Underworld would want to kidnap and raise this child to become the Source of all Evil their birthright, I would have loved if she had a girl named Persephone, it would have such great symbolism, the Goddess of both the Spring and the Underworld, that just would have been beautiful, with her middle name being Nicole, to honour her father, the man she fell in love with. Then Phoebe could have been the one to have met Kyra and they could have form a friendship which could have lead to a romantic relationship, with the three of them taking over the manor. Piper and Leo moving in next door to live a somewhat normal life, then Paige could have gone back to being a Social Worker to create a somewhat personal, professional and prophecy balance. Phoebe would only have one child, since lets be honest, raising her would be a handful. Piper and Leo would have two children, a girl and a boy, completing their nuclear family. Paige and Henry (since I liked Henry for Paige) would be childless, with them being emergency foster parents.

There would be three kids in the next generation, sort of continuing on the theme of the number three, as well as three women living in the manor again (or two women and a girl while Phoebe's daughter grows up). I like how different relationships are represented with Phoebe and Kira, as well as different family situations. Piper and Leo get the normal life, Phoebe gets the unconventional one, and Paige and Henry can be a lifeline for kids who need them.

I recently watched the Valkyries episode & loved seeing Melissa George in there, as well as that incredible attractive lady who would later be on The CW's The 100. Wasn't at least one of the characters on 2018 Charmed gay or bi?

You know you're gettin' old when you're only off by a DECADE, LOL! I watched the new Charmed with my daughter, she thought it was good at first, but then it got diluted or something.
At least it was better than the rebooted Roswell.
