I am still surprised I am the only one who voted for 7, 5, 6, 8. I guess 8 edges out 6 for a lot of folks Honestly for me the few episode of season 6 that are amazing push it over for me. I watched the manticore episode this weekend and that one is BRILLIANT.

I agree that it is, but one or two episodes doesn't prevent me from hating S6, the way a few episodes (mainly Paige-centric ones) that I like doesn't stop me from hating S4. I don't love S8, but there's enough episodes that I like and there's three characters that I love (Paige, Henry and Little Wyatt) while there is no main characters that I like in S6, so that's why S8 beats it out for me. But, as always, that's just me. I know others feel differently and that's fine with me.

I probably like Billie more than Chris (not Christie) but still S6 edges it out for me.

Honestly for me the few episode of season 6 that are amazing push it over for me. I watched the manticore episode this weekend and that one is BRILLIANT. Yes, S6E9 "Little Monsters" is a FANTASTIC S6 episode! ACTUAL demonic looking demons vs the average black wearing (sometimes leather wearing), human looking and fireball throwing "demons". I think they're fine in S6, but I understand, that's how you feel. I will say S6 SUCKS with "Protect/Save the Innocent(s)" type of episodes which is unfortunate. IK those types of episodes are usually the more preferred types of episodes, the fandom likes watching. Not only that, but (also) one of the seasons (like with S8) that hardly utilizes Phoebe's premonition power. I understand they wanted to make room for her Empathy power, but that power went nowhere, unfortunately T_T Her Empathy was used best in like ONE episode via S6E14 "The Legend of Sleepy Halliwell" and that's really it. BUT, I will say S6 remembered Phoebe's martial arts abilities (which S8 didn't utilize very much, MAYBE 2 episodes, at BEST!) and sort of her Levitation. Other than that, S6 is mostly good with its self-contained episodes that are interesting, even if just focused on the leading stars. Episodes like the following: S6E4 "The Power of Three Blondes" S6E6 "My Three Witches" S6E8 "Sword & the City" S6E10 "Chris-Crossed" S6E11 "Witchstock" S6E16 "The Courtship of Wyatt's Father" S6E17 "Hyde School Reunion" S6E18 "Spin City" Other episodes about "protecting people" and whatnot are still pretty good, too, like the following: S6E5 "Love's a Witch" S6E7 "Soul Survivor" S6E9 "Little Monsters" S6E14 "The Legend of Sleepy Halliwell" S6E15 "I Dream of Phoebe" I hate Chris soooo much as a character, plus I find Drew Fuller isn't the best actor. I probably like Billie more than Chris (not Christie) but still S6 edges it out for me. I don't mind Chris, as a character. While, I agree Drew Fuller isn't the best actor, I think he's a better (not best, different words) actor than Brian Krause (Leo) who can't cry worth a darn. Those of us who did the full S6 re-watch couldn't take Brian's acting seriously, when he's screaming out his "nnnooooo!!!!" or "crying" at Chris' death. We kept commending Rose's acting and even Alyssa's, over Brian's LOL

I definitely don't like the main characters in the other episodes nor do I like how they "saved" the innocents. No, that just made me hate those episodes more. But again, that's just me. If others did like the characters at that point, I can see how they could enjoy the episodes. I can't.

Yes, like I said, S6 SUCKS with the whole "Protect/Save the Innocent(s)" type of episodes which is why I brought up some of the other episodes not really about that that are still pretty solid. I'll agree, Paige is pretty rude, in S6E5 "Love's a Witch", when Phoebe ABSOLUTELY should've been helping out. And, Piper in S6E7 "Soul Survivor". Phoebe be the only sister on point, in both of those episodes. Phoebe sensed a problem, in S6E5 "Love's a Witch" and ABSOLUTELY should've been helping out the problem. And, Piper pretends like she's speaking for Phoebe in S6E7 "Soul Survivor" but not really because Phoebe ABSOLUTELY was correct that Zahn needed to be stopped, whereas Piper was all like "nah", completely.

5 > 8 > 6 > 7
Season five is very underrated. Paige's character has fantastic development and many episodes combine comedy, drama and metaphors very well. Season 8 is a breath of fresh air thanks to Billie and the personal conflicts the sisters go through feel more human than in previous seasons. Season 6 has a terrible season arc, but some subplots are okay and hadn't yet ruined Paige's character, who was still the most creditable witch of the trio. Season 7 has good arcs but the execution is mediocre, and the human aspect of the series is at its lowest point, with no interesting conflicts and the bond between sisters weaker than ever. It seems like a cheap and *soulless* action series at this point, and it's the most unforgivable thing Charmed can offer. (the soulless and the sisterhood weaker than ever)

(the soulless and the sisterhood weaker than ever) I like Season 7's conflict between Body & Paige vs. Piper and Phoebe around Utopia and the Avatars even though it was a badly ended storyline. I also like how we do get some of Fun Phoebe back with Billy Zanes charater. I fail to see the character development in Season 5 a part from Piper embracing being a mum. Cole and Phoebes characters are destroyed. There are only 2 great episodes in Season 5 for me - The Eyes That Have It (focusing on Phoebe's development and magical community done right + Jigsaw!) and Sympathy for the Demon which brings out the conflict between Paige vs. Piper & Phoebe. Paige quits her job to focus on being a witch - after the Source is dead? aka, we can't afford the Bay Mirror set and the Social Community Centre - so that's getting cut. Given some of the recent polls, I feel like I am changing my opinion with Season 6, not being the worst, but Season 5 taking that place. - MAYBE! I am yet to do a rewatch. 1,3,2,4,7, 5=6=8 for now for me. I am probably the minority that places Season 4 in the top 4 here but I understand its a controversial season - however its the one I enjoy watching the most.

I still stand by that S5 is the WORST Charmed season, ever. Even if people want to rank S6 low, it's not absolutely dead last. And a lot of members think that S6 is absolutely dead last. I know I couldn't care less how the powers are portrayed and I especially don't like how Chris is portrayed (SO needed a better, more dramatic actor who could ACT like a Halliwell and not just LOOK like one which is why I usually like him in fanfics, but can't stand him onscreen); I don't like the way Leo is portrayed (his worst season - I HATED him being more the Big Bad than Gideon just because Chris hated him without us ever being told why - I LOVE fanfics that do and end up with them being friends by the end of the fanfic!); I don't like how Piper is portrayed (Poor, poor pitiful Piper! I can forgive her due to Holly's pregnancy but I still don't like it), I don't like how Phoebe is portrayed (one of PhoeME's worst - the way they portrayed empathy is especially cringe-worthy) and I don't like how Paige is portrayed (Ditzy Valley Girl, her worst season) and I and others who feel the same way are allowed to feel that way just like you're allowed to feel the way you do. It's all opinion, not fact like you try to convince us it is - no one is right; no one is wrong - we're just different.

I completely changed my mind, I counted the episodes that I really like, don't like, don't care and the storylines that bother and satisfied me to helping me but I'm waiting to watch season 4-8 again, which I haven't watched in a long time.
7>>>>>>8>>>5>6
5) 7🙂|5☹️|11😐 Satisfied by Cole finally dead. Bother by Wyatt a boy then necessarily the most powerful in the world 🤦🏻, the titans so easy to defeat 6) 6🙂|6☹️|11😐 I like Chris when when we finally know what he is and I cried when he died. Bother by Chris's lies, season centered on Leo, magic school. 7) 13🙂|4☹️|5😐 I like the darkness, the avatars and Zankou. Bother by the avatars surrender too easily because they had Utopia. Prue who didn't want to teach her sisters astral projection.
8) 8 🙂|5☹️|9😐 I like Billie! I was happy that Leo was gone. I really don't like where they pretend to be dead. The triad. Prue is less present in the series finale than in the season 7 finale. Wyatt and Chris, as adults, have no reason to be there related with the Hollow

It's all opinion, not fact like you try to convince us it is - no one is right; no one is wrong - we're just different. You're responding to something I said back in Jan. When, in another thread, talking about S6 being the worst, I had an epiphany in Feb (we're now in Apr): It really depends on what you want from the show. If you're looking for a bunch of innocents to protect like Tonya from S1E8 "The Truth is Out There...and it Hurts", Eric Bragg from S2E7 "They're Everywhere", Cristopher & Brooke from S3E2 "Magic Hour", etc., then yes, S6 is the worst, in that department. Possibly tied with S8, but I digress. The only real type of "Protect/Save the Innocent(s)" episodes (without recycling/repeating/reusing characters, sets, storylines, etc.) would be S6E7 "Soul Survivor" and S6E9 "Little Monsters". That would be the extent of how S6 deals/handles "Protect/Save the Innocent(s)" types of episodes. I'll even throw in S6E5 "Love's a Witch", S6E14 "The Legend of Sleepy Halliwell" and S6E15 "I Dream of Phoebe" despite recycling/repeating/reusing characters, sets, storylines, etc. Only FIVE episodes, out of 23. If you're looking for episodes that flow really well with one another (especially fillers) S6 is NOT the worst. Especially with episodes like S6E4 "The Power of Three Blondes", S6E10 "Chris-Crossed", S6E16 "The Courtship of Wyatt's Father", etc. It's an easy season to flow through and follow along with. While, S5 may have the stronger edge in "Protect/Save the Innocent(s)", the execution and flow of S5 is poorly handled and hard to get through compared to S6. Even if S5 does a better job in power handling than S6, I still think S6's storytelling outshines all of that via "Protect/Save the Innocent(s)" and Power Handling/Usage. With that being said, I still understand the criticisms S6 receives, but I don't really think anyone has done a really good job at explaining it. Yes, S6 is VERY different from what we're used to, in the show but that doesn't mean it's bad. In fact, even if seasons ATTEMPT to stick with the whole "Protect/Save the Innocent(s)" formula, it's execution in story doesn't really do it's goal justice, and this is where S6 outshines that. I still don't think S6 is the worst, however. I still don't believe it should be ranked dead last. MAYBE second to last but not dead last. Notice, how I use the words "think" and "believe" and not "should" (not counting me saying it AFTER the word "believe") nor "shall". We're in Apr, and I understand better, now why S6 isn't the best (to others), and I still don't think you're explaining why you (personally) dislike S6. You're using very vague and ambiguous terminology without giving clear cut examples like an episode, and how they behaved in that episode. However, EVERY character has a bad episode. So even if you do give an episode, 1-2 episodes does not make nor break a character. It's only when NUMEROUS episodes can we make that judgement call. I remember your ONLY specific criticism towards S6 was the premiere, and those of us who re-watched ALL of S6 agree, the premiere is NOT the best. However, the premiere does NOT encompass what the WHOLE of S6 is. With this recent S6 re-watch I still don't see how Paige is all "ditzy", nor how Phoebe is all "selfish" (and, I even argue that she's LESS selfish in later seasons, in another thread, but I digress). And, I tried to see it from your point of view. HOWEVER, A LOT of us agree S6 Piper is NOT the best. We much rather deal with Chipper Piper in BOTH the premiere AND the finale. I can get on board if something is true, and it depends on the individual if they like the truth or not. So far, I'm not seeing it to be true that Paige was all "ditzy" nor Phoebe was all "selfish" in S6. The ONLY thing I can see IS true (not an opinion but TRUE) is Piper being unpleasant in S6 (but, I personally and not speaking for anyone else, JUST me, am OK with her S6 crankiness, as it's not as bad as S7 & S8), so I can SEE how her attitude can turn people away from her character, in S6. I'm not seeing the truth in "ditzy" Paige nor "selfish" Phoebe, and I tried to find it! The only time I can remember Phoebe being "selfish" is in the premiere and MAYBE S6E21 "Witch Wars". And, the weird "baby daddy" arc in S6E18 "Spin City" to S6E19 "Crimes & Witch Demeanors" (which is WORSE in S8, but I digress). FOUR episodes out of twenty-three doesn't quite destroy the entirety of the S6 Phoebe character. Nor "ditzy" Paige. If anything, Paige was the only smart one with the exception of ONE episode via S6E20 "A Wrong Day's Journey Into Right", otherwise Paige was VERY focused in this season, out of the other two sisters. I used to like the Chris character but ever since looking at the show differently, I agree with you, he's nothing but a whiny and annoying character, but he hardly influences the S6 episodes. Often times, we (those of us who re-watched S6) wondered where he was. With the S6 re-watch being over, I did noticed a shift and a change in other fans about S6, and how they don't super hate it, anymore, to the point it's dead last. But, we ALL (including you) can agree it does NOT surpass S1-S4. I (personally) used to think that way but not anymore. S6 does NOT hold a candle to the S1-S4 portion of the show. It's where it sits in the S5-S8 line-up is the question. I can understand S5 being over S6 (I really do) and MAYBE S7. But, to put S8 over S6? That's gonna require A LOT of explaining. Because S8 is where Piper is absolutely the WORST version of herself and CAUSED the war with Billie & Christy by firing first, TWICE. Phoebe being absolutely USELESS (which I did cover in another thread, but I digress) throughout most of S8, to the point she hardly has premonitions nor uses her martial arts and is fairly absent in A LOT of the vanquishes/fights. It's really only Paige & Piper (and Billie) doing all of the work. What is the point of Phoebe being in S8, at all? But, you don't have to explain yourself. I'm a very analytical person. I prefer objectivity rather than subjectivity. Everything I'm saying is objective and not subjective. I will always pin point where I am stating an opinion like preferring S6 over S5 is AN opinion. As BOTH seasons are objectively fairly equal in stature. As I said in the S5 vs S6 poll, I've changed my mind about S5 and no longer think it's the absolute worst (in regards to power balance and sister utilization). I'd be interested to see where you find Paige to be "ditzy" because I didn't see much evidence of it, at all. I don't think Paige being "ditzy" is really an "opinion" statement, either. Either Paige is "ditzy" or she isn't :/

S6 in regards to Chris my opinion has changed I used to really like him. But he is too whiny I've noticed in some episodes. And so many episodes he isn't that important other than popping in to remind the audience he's still around.
The last five episodes of S6 are very weak. I still like S6 but I might rate S5's finale higher than S6 if I have to pick between the two. Ecen if both are not great. I still feel Charmed didn't have too many strong finales.
S6 has a great middle section that is stronger than S5.
I like many episodes with the sisters. Mostly Phoebe and Paige. All three have their moments of highs and lows. Although Piper has fewer highs.

OBJECTIVELY speaking (this is NOT an opinion) S5 handles the powers a bit better than S6. I keep bringing up Phoebe because she's really the one (despite being in ALL 8 seasons) who utilizes her abilities the LEAST (and, I have the data to back this up). So, whenever Phoebe is NOT using her abilities, you should worry about the power balance, in the episode. HOWEVER, there is the occasional episode, when Phoebe IS using her abilities and another sister is NOT. For example: Piper Doesn't Use Her Abilities S1E20 "The Power of Two" S3E10 "We all Scream for Ice Cream" S3E14 "The Good, the Bad & the Cursed" S3E16 "Death Takes a Halliwell" S6E14 "The Legend of Sleepy Halliwell" S6E15 "I Dream of Phoebe" S6E19 "Crimes & Witch Demeanors" S6E21 "Witch Wars" S7E8 "Charmed Noir" Paige Doesn't Use Her Abilities S4E8 "Black as Cole" S4E11 "Trial by Magic" S7E10 "Witchness Protection" Prue Doesn't Use Her Abilities S2E21 "Apocalypse, Not" S3E21 "Look who's Barking" Just a general idea, of what we're looking at but still, there's a good chance the power balance is fairly off, when Phoebe's not using her abilities (this includes her Martial Arts). So, I understand putting S5 > S6 and even S7 > S6. But, to put S8 > S6? Unless, we like the absence of Phoebe in S8 over her being more in the front lines like in S6, is the ONLY way I can see putting S8 > S6. But, that destroys the whole "their bond as sisters" argument. If she's absent quite a bit, in S8, there's not much "bonding time" to be had. Especially because she even moves OUT, in S8. IK she "moved out" in S6, as well, but she STAYED "moved out" in S8 compared to her being "moved out" in S6. So, it's MY opinion, that I don't like the absence of Phoebe, in S8, but if others like her absence, I accept that. EDIT: Please check out my new S6 stance, in the S6 Your Views Then and Now thread: Changed my mind to "Liked it to Dislike". IKR? If I "dislike it", why is S6 STILL above S5 & S7-S8? It's no secret I've been changing my mind, recently mostly because I'm obsessed with power balance, ATM, and S6 is that. What I dislike about it is it underutilized Phoebe's premonitions. I'm looking at quite a bit of S6 episodes, where I'm thinking she could've had a premonition, like in the following: S6E5 "Love's a Witch" S6E6 "My Three Witches" S6E7 "Soul Survivor" S6E8 "Sword & the City" S6E9 "Little Monsters" S6E10 "Chris-Crossed" S6E11 "Witchstock" S6E14 "The Legend of Sleepy Halliwell" S6E16 "The Courtship of Wyatt's Father" S6E17 "Hyde School Reunion" S6E18 "Spin City" Before, it gets taken away from her, in S6E19 "Crimes & Witch Demeanors". I understand it was to pave the way for her new Empathy power, but her new Empathy power was hardly used in any meaningful way. The only times (objectively and not an opinion) where her Empathy seemed useful, at all is in the following: S6E7 "Soul Survivor" S6E10 "Chris-Crossed' S6E13 "Used Karma" S6E14 "The Legend of Sleepy Halliwell" With S6E14 "The Legend of Sleepy Halliwell" being my (personal) preferred method, as it acted similarly to her premonition power. Other than that, this season (also) lacks "Protect/Save the Innocent(s)" type of episodes. Again, not an opinion but a fact, and it's disheartening. What I will say is this season will always be nostalgic, for me. I do find some joy in it. Even if it isn't the same as its earlier counterparts. Whenever I'm doing my spreadsheets, this season hardly makes the cut, and it's sad to see because the story of the episodes, in the season are quite interesting. But, they don't utilize our leading ladies too well. So, I'm a little upset with this season, right now and understand the hatred it receives. All and all, maybe (just a guess) it is last in some people's lists for how disappointing it is, compared to other seasons (mostly S5 & S7). S6 is still objectively (not subjectively) better than S8. But because S8 has such a low bar of expectation compared to S6 is why I think (maybe) S8 surpasses S6. S6 seemed to be promising but in the end just didn't achieve what it promised/what it laid out.

I think it depends on what matters most to each person. In reality 5 and 6 are equal for me I can't decide. I prefer the dark and "despair" side of seasons 7 and 8 even if season 8 has USELESS episodes. Rather than 5 and 6 with the magic and endless love stories. I don't hate Paige and Henri. What I don't like is (I love you, I leave you, I love you, I leave you) I think that's why our rankings differ from what we personally really like. If I classified my seasons by characters or by power balance. The classification would therefore also be different. For example I can't stand Phoebe in season 3 which I will rank last, she lies, is naive and stubborn. In the end it's a question of tastes and colors 🤣 for example I love science fiction and fantasy but I hate detective series. Reason why "Grimm" didn't appeal to me even though it should have.

There's still a part of me that still enjoys S6. But, I can't unsee what I see about it, therefore I am disappointed and understand the anti-S6 crowd better. As I'm being more objective rather than subjective about it. Regarding why I'm wanting power balance, only seems logical to want them ALL to use their abilities in the same episode, together. As they're SUPPOSED to be powerful, and it's about ALL three of them using their powers TOGETHER. Hard to see that, when they're NOT using their powers especially not together :/

It's a difficult thing to answer properly. Each season is different than the next. The show can have more standout episodes than a standout season overall. Objectively a season can be bad in general but have better standout episodes. Characters can be more beloved and liked in particular season. The demons and villains can be more interesting in certain seasons. I love fantasy and Supernatural shows too like you. I get you with Grimm. I'm not much for a detective series myself but strangely Grimm appealed to me because of the Grimm fairytales and different supernatural entities week to week and the concepts. Though it lost itself along the way. Plus it had that Buffy like feel with a Scooby gang. I seem to be into detective shows if it has a fantasy twist. I still have never watched an NCIS or police drama properly after all these years. I might one day though.

Hard to see that, when they're NOT using their powers especially not together :/ That's probably why 1 and 2 are my favorites. They learn and work together. Piper leaves Dan but doesn't return with him. Prue too, although she probably would have gone back to Andy if he hadn't been killed. Leo is starting to annoy me. After these two seasons the bond of sisters breaks and is no longer the same and I have to fall back on other things that I love, namely darkness and danger. So we understand that I'm less of a fan of seasons 5 and 6 even if I love the episode "the eyes have it" it's incredible for me.
