Shannen (in last episode LBC witch only 2 minutes long) tease big announcement. Probably about charmed podcast. Yeah that's probably it. I guess its good publicity for her podcast to cross promote. Plus I'm sure she needs the money from this extra podcast to pay for her cancer treatment. The new podcast is officially with iHeart the same production team Shannen does hers. And yeah, its pretty obvious that's the news Shannen mentioned on her podcast was the Charmed podcast. I noticed the logo for the podcast has changed and the last two episodes of the old podcast are no longer there. Apocalypse Not and Be Careful What You Witch for (which Shannen was on for) are gone. I wonder if this means they'll remove the others, or if those two being removed was an accident or something. ) |

I'mma say no for the sheer fact it's a hot mess with A LOT of off-topic conversations, and they may spoil some things here and there. Very interesting to see someone who still needs to watch ALL 8 seasons lol Sounds like not worth my time. I may just read this thread more closely for any interesting insights they give when I finish the show. Yes, I got into the show during COVID in 2020, and my friend got me into it (and insisted I start at S4, LOL I don't think they like the Prue Years, so that was quite an influence, until this board suggested I start at 1). So I went back to do them in order. Now hoping I can get to S2 next. I do know Prue dies in S3 or I know she's gone by the start of S4, I just have no clue how and what happens till that point in time.
Be wary of my posts, as well because I've seen the WHOLE show and will probably mention later seasons to create full circle commentaries. |

I imagine this is a complete reboot. They may recycle old interviews again (unless they asked the former guests they had on before again). |

They have to remove old posts since IHeart wouldn't own those. So are they really going to bring all those guests back again. I mean some might feel annoyed having to re-do an interview again. |

Lol they were going off topic and Shannen immediately brought them back in. Here's hoping she'll keep that up when they officially recap episodes. This was just the introduction. What's interesting is that Shannen mentioned Alyssa by her name, not "her", in her latest podcast where Holly was a guest to promote the Charmed one and actually spoke nice about her. She said that Alyssa brought more light to the show and allowed her and Holly to be lighter as well. Hopefully they'll talk about the character Phoebe more this time. Drew's idea for bringing Prue back was something. Shannen has never watched Charmed before ever apart the ones she directed. She admitted she really was into Piper and Mark's relationship. This maybe was on the promotion for the HoH on Shannen's podcast. She also wanted to re-watch again to be objective and not just watch for Prue. She's watched five episodes so far. Shannen seems pretty keen to get into production side of things when bringing up the cinematography. But it tracks when she became a director. Sounds like they wanted Shannen on the podcast from the start but she was hesitant when Holly asked her who didn't know what a podcast was. Much like Brian admitted. She wanted them to be paid and basically was the reason they got the Iheart deal. Lol I watched this and Shannen's podcast back to back. So forgive my recap kinda merging the two since I watched these in order of release when they popped up on my Spotify. |

I didn't think it would be back for a while.
Melrose Place just launched their own podcast literally the same day as Charmed's return. I saw an article, but unlike Charmed they had a whole photoshoot and promotion for it. I only know Alyssa was on that show, but never watched it. Hopefully its better on this second attempt.

Multiverse reboot interesting. I'll give it a listen to hear more. I mean Charmed technically already kinda has that with how many alternate timelines got created. You already have the Morality Bites universe, the universe where Piper dies in ABHL before time reset etc.

And also between Shannen, Holly and Drew you have 'the Power of 3' if it needs to be used. I guess all the Charmed One related vanquishes must wrapped up by now right. I concur with Shannen that it would be exciting for non-fans of the show to watch, as they know more about the off-screen drama which they would be looking out for. I guess there is Greenscreen for Alyssa. The only thing about the time-ripple multiverse is that Paige would have Phoebe's premonitions plus Orbing and TK from her whitelighter side? or just Orbing, sensing, glamouring, healing (eventually) I suppose - in order for the prophecy to make sense from the BOS. |
