Last one with "remembering" was incredibly hard to listen. Holly just broken in all level 💔 Yup. I had to stop listening because it was so emotional. She said Shannen was really excited to watch Roses's episodes. And then she goes on to say that Shannen and Holly watched the first 2 episodes like teenagers recently. Not sure if she was referring to 'the first 2 episodes' bering 1x01 and 1x02 (2 of the 5 episodes that will be released on the HoH podcast every week) OR if she was referring to watching 4x01 and 4x02 when she watched the first two Rose episodes - in- other - words - the aftermath of Prue's death! How spooky! I think I might finish watching it now but its so sad! That was hard. I'm surprised they could do this so soon. I'm pretty sure she meant 1 and 2 of S1 cause on Shannen's podcast promoting the HoH they talked about watching S1 and looking over notes for them. Some great stories about how Holly and Shannen met and how wonderful Shannen was with helping Brian's dad after losing his wife/Brian's mother. Also Rose and Shannen got pretty close. The two had dinner together just the two of them. |

I kind of don't want to hear Holly's sarcasm in the future podcast post 1X05 when Shannen's episodes end.
Shannen reviews the episodes so much better and articulately.

Dorian already spoiled as a guest on an upcoming episode of HoH since he did a tribute on Shannen's podcast saying he was on the podcast with her.
Must be Dream Sorcerer since Darryl isn't in the next two episodes 1x3 and 1x4. So Shannen's last podcast.

I feel like this episode 1x03 should never be reviewed again lol. twice was hard. I'm glad Shannen did Dead Man Dating. I am looking forward to that one. I think she mentions Mark potentially being a preferred boyfriend over Leo 1x05 Dream Sorcerer was the first episode that I ever watched and is very Prue centric and its a Connie written episode too. Would be interesting to compare the 1x02 Ive Got Your Under My Skin rewatch - given they are considered poor episodes with the 2 different creative differences between the show runners! Thank god Shannen isn't reviewing 1x06 the Wedding From Hell lol and too bad they don't digest a good early episode like the Truth Is Out There The Witch Is Back. The introduction to Leo is really weird. I like how they reflected on that. "Leo just goes upstairs for 4 more episodes" the joking banter was fun. I wish BK would have talked about this experience a little more and how Shannen incorporated more into the show. |

I've Got You Under My Skin outside of Piper's story was a pretty poor episode I might add. I do appreciate the cool vanquish of Javna, but the whole episode is pretty poor. I think they had to show that not ALL guys are bad guys. Plus I feel like he wasn't even supposed to be in this episode. Its just weird how he comes in right at the end. LIke the writers forgot about puting him in or didnt want to have him there. The forbidden love thing feels between with Phoebe over Piper. I think they were still testing at the Misha Collins Season2 stage whether BK was gonna stick around or not. HMC and BK were mates so I think she felt comfortable with the kissing scenes etc with him and that he hung around a lot more (we know with Alyssa Milano for sure!). BK also said he had a lot of drinking and substance problems and even says he was stoned in the filming of the chimney 'My santa you've changed' scene. Phoebe having fun short lived romantic forbidden love with Leo would have been fun if he was a temporary character. Whitelighters - there is is this parallel with Jedi masters and star wars that I feel Brad Kern likes to follow. I think Secrets and Guys is a deal breaker between Connie and Brad about a) who Leo is b) whether he would be temporary or not. DIdn't mind the concept of whitelighters. Just didnt understand why the Elders made them be able to romantically love/ have less powers / made them so attractive for their charges to relate to them and therefore have forbidden love AND reproduce even though they were dead! |

The scene would've easily worked without Leo, and any sister finding the tape on the doorstep. It did feel like an add-on. Wasn't Misha Collins originally suppose to be a recurring love interest for Phoebe. I get the sense either Connie or the writers wanted one sister to be the single one over the other two longer. I think BK was going through a divorce at the time and had a young son. So I see why he was out of it. I don't see Phoebe treating Leo the way Piper did if they were the couple. But I see Phoebe giving Leo up more willingly than Piper with him being a temporary character. I really believe Connie wasn't very pro whitelighters at all. None of her solo episodes even have Leo in it. She was more interested in Wicca. I just wish they kept Whitelighters as a guide and never had any of them becoming romantically involved. Basically just let Natalie or someone like her be their guide. With them having an absentee father and Patty or Grams dead, them seeking that material parental relationship from their whitelighter could've been an interesting story. |

I've got the day off work and FINALLY got a chance to listen to a couple of the House of Halliwell (which I think would've made a great title for the show) episodes.
I got a kick out of the second episode, them calling it "sophomore slump" after the great series premiere and blaming a lot of it on Brad Kern - it's obvious they didn't like him right from the start while they did like Connie. Ditto with Aaron Spelling.
I remember Prue sleeping with Andy and using her power on the alarm clock bugged me the first time I watched the episode and was happy that they felt the same way.
You guys are right - they kept going off-track (BORING!) and Shannen kept pulling them back. I wonder who will do that now that she's gone.
Time to go onto the next episode.
