I was just thinking...100 years after it aired, do you think Charmed will still be alive?
Maybe in 150 years?
Or will it always stay alive?
What doyou think the future of Charmed is.

Damn in 2098 I'll be 110 years old and likely no longer here. Same with the cast they'll all be long gone.
I think the show will be remembered but I don't think it'll have a huge cult following like it does now. Charmed is beloved and I love it, but the show isn't at the same franchise level as the likes of Star Wars or Star Trek.
Though I'm pretty sure we'll see Charmed rebooted at least once before then. Which may gain interest in the Classic series again.

Honestly it most likely will be. By 2098 all the OG fans and cast will have passed on. But I'll be long dead by that time, so it isn't really something I'll have to live to see what happens. LOL

Hard to say, I mean will there even be an earth in 2098. I can hardly predict 1 year, let alone another 70 years. LOL
But seriously it'll depend, I think Charmed will need to come back in some form or reboot to bring attention back to the OG series. Charmed doesn't really have a big long running franchise history and success the way Star Trek has behind it in terms of multiple shows, spin-offs and movies. There's also a huge lack of tie-in media and merchandise.
But 50-70 years is a long time, there might even be another witch series that proves to be the successor of Charmed. You just never know.

Not if the Cafe is still doing re-watches and writing/reading fanfics!
Unless the Cafe closes, I can't think of anything that would make fans forget Charmed, especially when new fans keep joining us, and as long as that keeps happening, no way the Cafe closes, so no way Charmed is forgotten!

Hard to say. 75 years is a very long time to predict from now. I hope it still has new fans who will discover the show and keep the fandom alive when we are all dead.

It would be great to see a new show that was inspired by Charmed the way Charmed was by Practical Magic.

Yeah, I really agree with you two. I sure hope we do, and I'm sure we will. I don't think we need a Charmed reboot for at least another 30 years.

I'm hopeful they do, and not try to reboot Charmed again. *sigh* I'd gladly watch something new that was inspired by Charmed. I sure hope the Hollywood writers will offer something new than rebooting everything. That seems to be the trend this past decade.

It would be cool if someone read our "Elemental Charmed" and based a reboot on that!

I have a hard time predicting what will happen one week from now, let alone 70 to 75 years into the future. Lol
But jokes aside, I'd like to think it will still be remembered 70, 80 or 100 years from now.

I'd hope by 2098 when people look back 100 years, that Charmed is among influential shows. But the good thing about streaming and such, Imagine being able to go back and stream something from your great grandparents time.

I would believe so unless you actively keep the fandom alive by introducing it to the next generation unfortunately because Charmed is cult classic and didn't impact popular culture enough it'll probably be forgotten into the void which sucks because Charmed could have done something impactful if the series was written better.

That's the sad truth. Charmed doesn't have mass media pop culture impact. It wasn't a huge hit in terms of being an emmy award winning ground breaking show that had impact on television as a whole. Charmed was always seen as the step child of the WB. I hate that it was seen that way but I still love it for all its faults and how it being bad allowed fans to create great fan fiction and ideas. The only lasting impact will be future generations keeping it alive once our generation comes and goes. I hope this forum is still around for years to come and the community can keep growing even after we are all gone.

Its story had so much potential to have more of an impact than some of the other fantasy shows that were around at the time. I'm sure perhaps when people look back at the #MeToo movement, they will reference Rose McGowan and Alyssa Milano and then maybe Charmed thereafter?

I sadly think the behind the scenes drama will be what it becomes remembered for than the content of the show and storyline 50 and 100 years from now. Just look how Shannen's podcast talking about Alyssa just now has blown the spotlight back on the show into the media again. It sucks how little attention I see for the show storyline and writing. It had so much potential this show.

Which is the sadder part, this show had so much potential, imagine a #MeToo storyline that features one of the sisters being prayed upon by a human man showing that the demons aren't the only forms of evil out there, that there are multiple sources of evil.
