Well maybe.....but both girls looked pretty young and close to age. So if she was meant to be Phoebe's daughter...why not use her for both scenes, why confuse the audience?!?!?

It was definitely meant to be Piper's daughter. If they want to they could in the future get out of it, but it was most definitely supposed to be her's and Leo's kid.

Then why didn't they have Piper mention having another kid? She mentions her restaurant and Leo teaching at Magic School. You would think having another kid would be worth a mention. It was also never mentioned in the script that she was Piper's daughter. The script just says Piper and Leo are sending Wyatt, Chris and Melinda off to school (Melinda was also the name given to Phoebe's daughter in the script for "Witchness Protection"). No mention of her being their child.

How about this for a hypothesis? First, in the lunch scene it is Prudence Melinda, Piper's daughter. Second, she is not in the scene with Chris and Wyatt because the two brothers are more than enough to handle a rebuilding demonic world. Third, she (Melinda) is allowed to live a normal life, the life that Piper always wanted, from the get go. I just wish they had put her in the kitchen with Piper while she was trying out a new recipe. That would have ended all of this speculation. But, it's fun nonetheless.

Melinda would also be the only actual witch in the family, with no whitelighter powers and no way of transporting herself. She would most likely only have a single power that may not be too useful in hand to hand combat or she's simply not allowed to do demon hunting yet.

Good point! She would be the product of a mortal (Leo) and a witch (Piper). What do you think Paige's kids would be? Or Phoebe's, for that matter?

i was so dissapointed that prue didn't return. my sister and me(but mostly me)always thought that they should bring her back for an episode in a season as a whitelighter or something. than when i heard this was the last season i thoght she was for sure going to be in that episode but than i found out that she wasn't i was so mad and still am. they also should have brought back andy, cole, and darryl. espacially darryl because he was in all have the seaseons except for the last one so they could have at least have brought him back for the final epidsode. they should have brought everyone above since they brought cabk all those other people.

I would have settled for a picture, since I know Shannen wouldn't ever return. A pic would have made it full circle, now it left a big gaping hole. (IMO)

Prue was so left out, even though she was mentioned. Without her there really is a huge gaping hole in Charmed as a hole.

The script said the little girl in the scene was Melinda, but it didn't say she was Piper's daughter and they didn't mention her name in the series finale episode. Also, the script for Witchness Protection said Phoebe's daughter's name was Melinda. And in Morality Bites, Piper had one child--a daughter--and no sons, and she and Leo, who was still a whitelighter, were divorced. And Prue was still alive. And there was no Paige.

Yes, but the future - as depicted there - depended on a sequence of events that started with doggie doo. Change that sequence, alter the future. How much the future changes depends on how important the antecedents were. In Morality Bites, the action spurred the victim to become a witch hunter. At the same time, the sisters' actions emboldened them into acting recklessly with their powers. This culminated in massive witch hunts and the use of magic to punish the accused (was Cal Greene guilty? Not according to any court of law, but in Phoebe's eyes, yes).
Change the antecedent, it is impossible to know how much the future is affected. By not going after the dog owner, does this mean that Piper and Leo will never get together, never have a daughter, have only two sons, etc. The future is shaped from each lived moment and the confluence or tangle of lived moments from a multiplicity of persons. To quote from the greatest worst movie of all time: "Future events affect things in the future." Prue's death was still in the future. Piper and Leo's sons were still in the future. My future is still in the future, however bleak it may appear.

I never said the script said Melinda is Piper 's daughter. I just think it is her daughter, as do other people. And some people think it is not. We really have no proof either way.

Prue was so left out, even though she was mentioned. Without her there really is a huge gaping hole in Charmed as a hole. I think what would have been perfect, if Brad had asked and Shannen and still said no (she at least should have been asked, IMO), would have been a picture of Prue (perhaps one solely of Prue and the original one of Prue, Piper, and Phoebe that Grams took, and maybe even one of Prue and Andy), as well as a magical message from Prue in the Book of Shadows. Like the one Patty wrote to Prue in From Fear To Eternity, where Patty never actually appeared. (And that would've added an ounce of continuity.) I also think it would've been nice if, when Piper's granddaughter shut the door with her TK, that Piper had called her "Prue" or "Prudence," just to show that they remembred her.

Absolutely, in fact in my mind that kid was definitely Prue's re-incarnated (Even if she was somewhat dyslexic and moves her hand the wrong way. Either that or she was just showing off her powerful she is that she can totally move stuff without having to wave in the right direction)
Hey, if Piper could be her own great-grandmother, then why can't Prue be her own great-aunt...
