Spin-off with Chris and Wyatt. *thumbs up* No Sister. Piper and Leo gueststaring *nods* when they can. Aunts....I can live without that. I actually wrote an opening episode of the Wyatt/Chris show starring Wes Ramsey and Drew Fuller...and called it "CSI San Francisco" where CSI stands for "Charmed Sons Inc." Obviosuly, it didn't get any respect from anybody, but I tried.

And what is the deal with Supernatural? This show has been on since August and whenever it's on, they keep the same re-opneing sequence, "22 Years Ago...etc, etc," When is enough enough? The 22 Years Ago this is the previsously on Supernatural. Every eppie from the first season started like that to remnd viewers about what had happened. It was a very elaborate scheme Eric Kripke set up with the show.

Did I miss it or did they actually skip the 22 years ago part in the last episodes previouslies clip montage? Of course it's bound to be back next week with a vengeance since they seem to be dealing with CD again.
IN other CW news, according to Entertainment Weekly: Seventh Heaven is down over 23% from what it's average ratings were last year. Ouch, although seriously who besides Dawn Ostroff didn't predict that? Not to mention could they give it a tougher time slot? I do hope that they give the creators enough notice to put another season finale together prior to killing it. (And that the CW this time actually realises that just because people watch a finale does not mean those people actually like the show or would watch it if it was renewed...)
Overall though things aren't looking good for the CW as the combined network is reportedly not doing much better than either the WB or UPN were doing alone. Their top show rated show is predictably Models, and their 2nd...Smallville? That right there is a good sign that the network is in TROUBLE. (Especially since there is a question as to whether Smallville will end this year or next) Although hey, the networks trouble could translate to them wanting to try new stuff or maybe spin-offs of old successful shows... (crosses fingers)

No one is saying it, because it isn't going to happen. The cast and crew have all moved on. A Spin-Off could still happen, but Charmed itself is unlikely to ever come back short of possibly reunion years from now...

I Think The WB Should... Hold a contest that would allow a fan of the show to write a Charmed episode. If they do get renewed for a 9th season, they could start accepting submissions and narrow down the scripts based on originality and quality. It would be clever, but would only work if they got renewed. uhhuhhim Would be great, but it's over, Charmed is always in our hearts though! I mean simply it wouldn't be the same, now a Book, would be more accpetable as that would be based like all the other ones, not a Real Episode. ;D

How would a fanfiction writer "prove" that an actual unionized TV writer stole or plagarized his/her idea?
Anyone could grab a random fanfiction off the Internet and claim, "That was mine!"
So how do TV writers "prove" that they haven't been reading people's fanfiction?

I have a little comment about the WB. Personally, I never really got to watch it seeing as I'm Canadian and you don't really get the WB without satellite or whatnot.
However, I will say that I've loved many programs on the WB (like Charmed, Smallville and Buffy the Vampire Slayer). I can also say I love their promos of all their stars! Not too many networks do that these days. I personally love the "Oh What a Night" one. Hehe, what can I say? I'm a sucker for Shannen Doherty cozying up to David Boreanaz and chumming it up with Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Now, I have a bone to pick with the WB. We all know how bad it mistreated Charmed. However upon watching its final promo (saying goodbye) I noticed something very wrong. For one, the only ties to Charmed were Rose McGowan and Alyssa Milano.
You see, towards the end of the promo they name all their stars (or memorable ones). The thing that pissed me off royally was the fact they didn't include Holly Marie Combs. For eight years, HMC was the heart and soul of Charmed and Piper is the reason the show was kept alive after SD's departure (don't argue it). However, every year, HMC was given split second glimpses (so was Alyssa when Shannen Doherty was starring). Anyway, HMC stars in a show on the WB for 8 years and they don't even show her face?!?! Um... excuse me? I'd like some explaination.

And you will probably never get one, or at least not one which is satisfactory. For obvious reasons, there is no one to write to in order to pose that quesiton, with the WB now as gone as Charmed. Yes, there are probably many people who made the jump to the CW, along with the shows which survived, but Charmed has been gone well over a year now and it won't be coming back any time soon, I fear. The reality of TV and spinoffs. I guess I'm just a bit bummed today because I know there won't be any movies, spinoffs, or recreations of the show for probably ten years or more. All that is left is the reruns, DVDs, the books (which prove there are more stories to tell), and of course, sites like this one. Charmed will go down in history as one of the most unappreciated shows, discontinued due to lack of vision and money on the parts of the new CW.

I dislike the WB and CW more by the minute as I realize how poorly both treated Charmed. Upon reading the behind the scenes of season eight with Brad Kern (of Charmed magazine) I realized how much they messed up the direction of the show. Especially with "promotable hunks" and the Billie direction they took. Had they not had the hunks or Billie maybe they would have had the budget for more Leo.
Maybe if they saved enough we'd have closure with Shannen Doherty's picture on the wall in the final episode of Charmed.

They should, but they wont. Simply because they are a franchise and could care less about us. No network has ever allowed this. No network has probably needed fans to keep it's show alive anyway, like Charmed is doing. Good idea though, but won't happen. Not to impugne on your statement, and I may be wrong about this, but back in 2000, when "La Femme Nikita" went off the air, the fans were so outraged (I was one of them, but I wasn't that concerned... I liked it and all but meh...) that they sent in money and letters to get it back for one last "season" (only 8 episodes). The fans were, of course, refunded for the money or, rather, the money was sent back becaus they couldn't accept it. As for the letters, I've not seen one lol so I don't know. I know the fans didn't support the show, but still it took a lot of em to bring it back for 8 episodes, which was unheard of back in 2001 (I think...), so I think it's kind of possible with "Charmed." I don't know exactly how we'd all go about doing it, but I'm sure something could be done.

And the fans of Jericho were single-handedly responsible for that show's (soon-to-be) return.
