Its been 3yrs since I first gave my opinion. I was somewhat new to Charmed at that time. I started watching it towards the end of 2007. Watching it off and off since than. I think I still have pretty much the same opinion of her. Shes still my favorite of the girls. I know Piper changed after they got married, but jeez, shes married. She cant act the same when she was single. Married couples fight, thats normal. What kind of wife would she be if she didnt wanna save her husband. Even though 2 people who love each other shouldn't fight, it happens, I admire them so much even through all the bickering and fighting. At the end of the day, they knew in their hearts they loved each other and not give up on each other. Even though at times it seems like they had. I am happy at the end of season 8, they are together. They r my fav couple. I love watching them two, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I like both but for very different reasons. I like younger piper because of how sort of awakward and neurotic she was, I find her very easy to relate to as we are such similar people. But, with older piper she is who I want to be and who I hope I will grow into strong, confident and powerful

Younger Piper, I could relate to her so much more before S5.

She was *SO* much prettier when she was younger! In Season Two, she's absolutely adorable! Holly's a lot more beautiful now than Piper ever was (her hair is more stylish), but she was her prettiest in S2. Of course, ti's probably Piper's horrible personality in S6-8 that makes her look less-beautiful in my eyes.

Older Piper was very pretty to me, but younger Piper was extremely beautiful. She was so innocent in Seasons 1-3 and her story arcs were way less Leo filled, she had stuff to do that didn't revolve around Wyatt, Chris, Leo, or her sisters for that matter. Seasons 1-3 Piper was amazing <3

Unfortunately I recently rewatched the first few seasons and you're wrong - most of her Season Two and Three story arcs are all about her and Leo (or her and Dan) and the way she treats Leo is horrible! But she still thinks of someone besides herself and that makes her beautiful.

I should rewatch seasons 1-3 again, lol thanks for the heads up Es. I still love season 1-3 Piper WAY more than seasons 4-8 Piper even if she didn't have much to do by herself

I don't love S4 Piper - it's the start of her turning into Poor, Poor Pitiful Piper - Prue's death made her weaker rather than stronger despite her power.
My favorite Pipers are Season One and Season Five (not counting "Oh, My Goddess!", which I always count as part of my least-favorite season, Season Six - I don't like any of the sisters in that season). My favorite Phoebes are Season One & Two. My favorite Prues are late Season One (from "The Witch is Back") through early Season Three (up to "The Good, The Bad and the Cursed"). My favorite Paiges are Season 4 and Season 8. My favorite Leo is Season One. (I wish when he left after "Love Hurts" that was the last time we saw him - and before my re-watch, I loved both him and Piper up through the wedding...) My favorite Cole is Season Three and Season Seven.

"Oh My Goddess!" Always makes me soo angry, which is why I only watch it if it's on my Netflix rotation or on the TNT rotation. The Power of 3 is supposed to be the strongest magic out there, but they have all this other magic that is even stronger than the Charmed Ones so what's the point of having the Charmed Ones. Couldn't the Elders have used the God essences to kill the Source or any other evil for that matter or even use the Hollow, why did the Charmed Ones need too? Idk i'm just ranting now

LOL, go right ahead and rant - that's the fun of message boards, especially because most fans will agree with you.
I'll always wonder why they couldn't just use the Power of Three to get rid of the Titans....
And, yes, I do know why. Once Kern showed up, the Power of Three wasn't really all that powerful....

Mhmm, Even Darryl who I loved in Seasons 1-4, just basically turned into a whipping boy for the Sisters. And Leo *Shudders* don't even get me started on Leo... I love Leo but seriously sometimes it was just humiliating the way Piper treated him.

*nods* Especially when they were non-magicals. Why did non-magical men have to be whimps?

Exactly! I wish someone had the good sense to smack Piper in the head and tell her to stop being soo whiney. All the girls needed a good bop on the head to get their senses back on track.

I liked both. I liked that she had a vulnerable quality about her when she was younger..she was unsure of herself and I liked how she mediated between Prue and Phoebe. And I liked her as she grew older as well, she was always so funny and it was nice to see her have a family and take the lead.

Older Piper was great on some aspects and bad on other aspects, but I guess you can say that for all the characters on Charmed and other TV shows too. It all depends on what traits about the characters you like, I like Human Elena on the Vampire Diaries WAY more than Vamp Elena and some people might disagree with me *Crickets chirp* lol I guess not

I definitely prefer Piper younger. She was a nicer and funnier person in the first three seasons, and I related to her better. After Prue died, she did the best she could at assuming leadership, but it was never the same. She also became a lot bitchier, and her constant whining about wanting a normal life got annoying really fast. I can understand whining about it during the first couple of seasons, and even for a while after Prue's death, but once she and her sisters refused the Angel of Destiny's offer the complaining should have stopped. They should have found a way to move past all the bad stuff that had happened to them and try and find some minimum happiness in being witches. Also, Piper never seemed to realise that if they weren't Charmed, she never would have met Leo and had her kids.

Or they should've accepted the Angels offer which would've ended Charmed sooner obviously but would've been better in the whole run certainly. Totally agree with your answer nimue. I preferred Piper when she was younger also and related to her more because she actually cared about the innocents she helped and saved then, being a charmed one of course and the fact men and her family weren't her total priority then either.

But she still thinks of someone besides herself and that makes her beautiful. Eh, I think it was a two way thing, but Leo was largely responsible for the way she treated him. His behaviour provoked those reactions from her. He and Piper had such an unhealthy relationship, though. Even though (or possibly because) I like Leo as a character, I do wish he would have died in Love Hurts. I think the best match we saw for Piper over the course of the show was Mark -- shame he was dead!
