Piper older or younger?

Which do you think was better Older or younger Piper?

I would have to say older. There was a somewhat neurotic appeal that she had in seasons 1-3, but after Pru's death her character took on a more centered, mature power that I find considerably more compelling. (Forgive me... As a woman who is not so young herself, I might be a little biased!).

Younger by a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG shot! I loved her before S5 and hated her afterwards--the reason I don't spend a lot of time in her fanclub.

ive always loved piper young and old but i woud have to ean a little more towards older piper. after prue died and paige came in piper had the most obsticles o overcome. she was the strongest

I prefer older Piper. She was wiser and became even more beautiful as she grew up.

OLDER, I THINK THAT SHE HAS A WONDERFUL STRONG MORE OUT THERE KIND OF PERSONALITY COMPARED TO HER YOUNGER WHERE ALL SHE REALLY WANTS TO DO IS BE NORMAL.

It really depends on what you like to see in an actor, physically, emotionally, or ability. If you liked or identify better with a slimmer Piper, who was more of a follower then obviously younger Piper is your pick. If you want more maturity, self confidence, and a different kind of look, then you prefer older Piper.

Point is, neither is wrong or right. Personally, I enjoyed watching her grow, not only into her character (who was also growing as a person), but also as she grew as an actor. The whole cast understood they were not "locked" into being a certain way season after season. The way, for example, HMC's character has to change when they are forced to kill off her older sister, is very telling of her ability to now act like the oldest sister and leader of the Charmed Ones. Just like AM had to mold Phoebe into the middle sister. I understand a lot of this is written into the script and through direction, but it's still up to the actors to create this new dynamic within the chemistry they've created between them. I think they did an excellent job at this, particularly because they had three seasons to grow into their characters. Rose M. only had to step into a newly created character and develop her with the episodes. It was AM and HMC who had to "switch gears" and remake their characters to let in a new younger sister while also developing the new dynamic between all three. There were some bumps in the road, but overall this was accomplished very well.

As to which Piper I like better... I think older Piper because she was more comfortable in her role by then.

Spiritkas, that was an excellent description of what the actors had to deal with as the characters changed from season to season. I agree with what you said, and think the older Piper was more comfortable in her on skin.

Really I liked to watch her go in that transition of young woman that could party all night and go to work in the morning to an older woman who stays home with her sisters and takes care of her family. So I really can't decide.
But I am positive that Piper is an always will be my favorite Charmed character.

I love her period.She was so witty in her younger years,and while older she never lost that wit and humour she settled into the older sister perfectly.She's remained quircky throughout the entire show so i couldn't pick,i'd say i like both the younger and the older,same with Holly as a person,she brings so much of herself to the character that i've continued to love Holly as a person-without being weird of course
Holly is one of my favourite actresses if not my number one.She's Fantastic.

I loved Piper young and old .. i started watching her older in season 6-8 but when i got to season 1-3 she was very different

I enjoyed watching her in the earlier seasons ..a pet peeve of mine w/ her there, was her worry of personal gain she deffinatly matured later and she lost some of her orginal edge ...she changed after prue's death
